Mi-Sant was packed when we stopped by so we knew it was going to be delicious! We got two separate bowls and both of them were overflowing with flavors. The sauce/vinaigrette were balanced perfectly with the meat and veggies. We did not get the sandwich but they make them with fresh bread and look tasty. The boba tea and matcha were exactly what you want to pair with the food. They have an abundance of pastries to choose from and we went with the coconut ube croissants. It was a perfect way to wrap up the meal. It was packed inside but we were able to find seating. There is a bar area (no bartender) and two seating areas. You order on a tablet and pickup at the front counter. We will be back to try more soon!
Its been so long since Ive seen real croissants baked properly. And then they made it even better by filling them with fresh fruits, cream, chocolates . The menu is refreshing. Light food. Decent prices. Something a little different from the same old! Place is clean and such a nice vibe. Service was good. A definite place to comeback and repeat
Our team from work was in Roseville and we decided to hit Mi Sant for lunch, as someone on our team had been their before and loved it. He was right! The wait was awhile, because it was so busy on a Tuesday, but it was worth it. We got a table that sat seven and I ordered the Mi Sant special which had two types of pork on it and some eggs. The crust was crunchy on the outside and the soft chew of the baguette on the inside. The meat was perfect and had a perfect tang to it to mix with the vegetables on the sandwich. The fried egg was a great touch. Someone on the team ordered the dessert croissant with chocolate in it. It was one on best best desserts I have ever had. It had some kind of crystallized sugar inside that melted in my mouth. Delectable. The place seats a lot and has a variety of goods to purchase. No fountain drinks, but they did have free water. Great place!
There are some meals that are tied to moments in life for all kinds of reasons. This is one of those for me, tied to a time of hardships in life. I looked for positives wherever I could find them... even in a really really good sandwich. @misant_banhmi in Brooklyn Park is where I first had this awesome sandwich. Since those days, they've grown and added a second spot @misant_kitchen in Roseville which is my go to, though both have a special spot in my heart. Everything is made fresh and you can taste it they've got so many options in this Vietnamese French Fusion Bakery to try. So what was this wow sandwich? Beef Bulgogi Bahn Mi (The bread and everything inside is sooo good. The flavor of the Beef is amazing) Not pictured but also awesome: Also able to get it as a bowl version Croissants here are also delicious Cream Cheese Wontons Egg Rolls Mi Sant is a place you walk in and have an instant mood boost. The atmosphere of their restaurant just feels comfortable and welcoming which sets the scene for an enjoyable experience. The team here is also so friendly and helpful. Came here for a casual dinner with a friend. We sat in the lovely enclosed patio at a community table. I got the lemongrass chicken banh mi - it was light and flavorful and the bread was fresh! It had a spicy logo next to it on the menu and I definitely could have done with a bit more spice! The mango croissant was delicious! I'd like to try all the croissants - strawberry, chocolate, almond, Nutella. Looked amazing.
I came here twice this week; once for breakfast and once for dinner. I really liked it both times and will be back for sure. This is a bakery/restaurant with an emphasis on banh mi and other entrees from Southeast Asia, most of which incorporate their fresh baked goods. You can order online or from tablets by the entrance & pick up from the counter when your order is ready (no waitstaff), and they have a separate counter for baked goods items from their display case. There is a lot of table and bar seating, but they are popular enough that it can get crowded anyway. The banh mi I ordered really was very good. Big and well-appointed. I requested my veggies on the side because I don't like very much cucumber & jalapeno, and that worked out fine. Sauces flavorful but not overpowering. I also ordered cream cheese wontons which were very good, although they didn't come with any dipping sauce despite the photo. For breakfast I got an egg/ham/cheese croissant and I absolutely loved it. It was a little small for the price, so I kind of feel like coming back hungry and splurging for two of those someday. Just so tasty and fresh. I recommend ordering online. I did that for breakfast on a Saturday, and even though it was very busy, my order was ready for pickup five minutes early. I want to try one of their bubble teas. They should maybe have more dessert things!
What a fun little spot! Great for a quick lunch or for lingering over a pastry and coffee. We brought our baby and felt that it was baby- friendly - they have a sunroom style area that's a bit quieter, and we sat in the main dining room. We had two bahn mi and some pastries - the pastries were divine, super flaky with delicious fillings. We went around 3pm on a Monday and most pastries were already sold out, so that probably tells you how good they are! We got the last raspberry cream cheese cruffin and were delighted by it. The main bahn mi they sell with two types of pork was amazing, good smoky flavor. The lemongrass chicken bahn mi was good, but not quite as life changing. The one thing I would say is that it would be nice if some sort of hot sauce was offered, both my husband and I thought the sandwiches would be slightly improved with some sriracha, they were both a bit sweet. Overall, great spot! Come early for the full selection of pastries.
Mi-Sant is located in a charmingly converted former chain restaurant building --probably from the 90s or early 2000s--into a cafe/bakery that serves Vietnamese food, baguettes, and pastries. You order at the counter and receive a buzzer; when your food is ready, it buzzes and you pick it up. Seating is first come, first serve. It was busy on the Saturday we went and unfortunately we did not see any staff come out to clean the tables, so they were a bit dirty. The interior is fresh and fun, with high ceilings, communal table, and tasteful holiday decorations. We really enjoyed sitting in the lovely glass sunroom. Their banh mi is truly excellent and the highlight of our meal. They also had great boba tea. The pastries and pasty sandwiches we had were just okay--the flavoring and filling within them was kind of uneven. It's worth checking out, if only for their banh mi! I recommend going earlier in the morning (before they run out of some of the pasties) and on a weekday when they might not be so busy. Alternatively, you can preorder items on their website.
This feels like a converted bakers square with the long "greenhouse" section of seating. When you first walk in you immediately see the pickup counter and a row of 3 iPads to order from. There's a second counter where you can also order from an employee. I was unfortunately fooled by the photo of bubble tea and didn't realize I needed to add that separate so I was disappointed with a $6 boba-less tea. Still tasted good. Went back for a classic Bhan-Mi. Bread was amazing (baked in house) and ingredients were fresh. It was pretty busy Halloween Friday at 11:30 AM. Many pastries were already sold out so I'd order ahead!
I came to Mi Sant with my partner for dinner as we were planning on shopping in the area later. It's a really interesting place -- the setup inside is more cafe than restaurant, and it feels like a real community gathering place judging by how busy it was (even late on a Monday night) with people just chatting. We each ordered a noodle bowl -- hers with tofu, mine with veggie egg rolls. We also split a Mango Passionfruit slushie. The bowls were good, but I think there were more noodles than veggies/proteins...I would have liked to see more of the pickled veggies and lettuce. The sauce they give you isn't nearly enough to flavor everything imo, and I also wish they had a hot sauce available. that said, the tofu and egg rolls themselves were delicious. I left wishing we had both instead gotten the Tofu banh mi as I imagined it would be more flavorful. The slushie was great. Not too sweet, which I appreciate, and plenty big to share. One negative -- they messed up a few things in our order. First, they gave my partner the wrong sauce with her bowl. Second, they put the wrong boba in our slushie. They fixed both issues so not catastrophic at all, but worth noting especially since they didn't seem very busy.
Everything I've had here is excellent! The croissants, the classic banh mi, and the bulgogi fries are flavorful and delicious. The classic banh mi here tastes most like the ones I grew up with in Chicago. You can really taste the freshness of the pate and the mayo, along with the meats and veggies. The bulgogi fries are battered and crispy, and the meat is flavorful. There's also just enough kimchi that brings all the ingredients together without overpowering the fries. I don't have pictures of the dessert croissants, but the mango, strawberry, berry croissants are all good. The tiramisu croissant wheel is my favorite though. The cappuccino mousse in the center is not too sweet and pairs so well with the croissant.
Super cute hidden gem in Roseville near the mall. It's not very hidden however because everyone was there and it was filled! We tried the spring rolls (delish unique peanut sauce) and the pork bahn mi (sandwich). So good!! Cute interior, order at counter and pick up your food, small focused menu. Will try again !!
I asked Tony Cu where his fav banh mi was from and he said mi sant, I got the og and my husband got the special and we also ended up ordering their ube croissant. I loved my banh mi so much we ordered another to go, the ube croissant was delicious, texture was crispy on the outside almost like a delicate candied texture. I wasn't as big of a fan of the special but the original is definitely one to go back for.
Mi Sant is one of my favorite places to grab takeout! The prices are super reasonable, and the portions are fairly large, making it a great value. I usually order the lemongrass chicken bowl, which is full of flavor and character. I also really appreciate that they have a separate gluten-free section on their ordering system, making it easy to find suitable options. It's a walk up and order kiosk system. There's plenty of seating, great place to meet up with pals or to get a little work done. My friends are huge fans of the pastries, too. They always have an extensive selection, but make sure to go early in the day if you have something specific in mind, since popular items can sell out. read more

Clearly a popular spot! Delicious food at good pricing. Loved the sweet peanut sauce. Banh mis were great. Noodle salad was fantastic as well. Drinks were a tad sweet. Lots of seating, good for groups. Self serve environment. I will be back! read more
Did a quick order of a bakery item - fast, easy, and convenient! The croissant was packaged very well. They had all the utensils stocked and ready. Such a cute place! Great ambiance, plenty of seating options, clean space, well organized menus, friendly staff and delicious pastries. I stopped by around 10:30am on a Friday for a coffee and a chocolate almond croissant, both were great. The pastries were HUGE. I honestly wanted to try everything on the menu so I'll definitely be back to try the spring rolls and sandwiches. It wasn't too busy when I was there but as I was leaving around 11:30, it was packed so I do think lunch time gets busy. read more
The vibe of this place is super awesome. I really like the way the dining area is set up. It's spacious and comfortable at the same time. I can tell this used to be a Baker's Square, but when you go in, it feels like a really chill area. The kiosks and servers worked together well. I was able to order and get my food fairly quickly. We ordered the Thai Tea, Special Sandwich, Croissant, and Eggroll bowl. All of them were very delicious. Honestly, it was much more food than I could handle, so luckily I had a friend to help out. read more

Services was fast even during peak time! Lots of seatings in two sections (both indoors but one with open windows to the sunlight). Viet Coffee is very good. We wanted to experiment what Coffee Milktea would taste like but it just wasn't what we were expecting. It's not that it wasn't made well but rather that Milktea and coffee doesn't go well together imo. Shrimp bowl comes with a great portion and peanut sauce slaps!!! read more

Stopped on a Wednesday for an early dinner. Daughter & family ordered first & got their food ten minutes before we did & we ordered immediately after them. Odd & unfortunate because we were dining together. Ordered shrimp spring rolls but got beef. Delicious. Egg roll bowl is okay. Hubby bulgagi bowl was tasty. Kids shared a chocolate croissant & loved it. Nice place for a quick fairy healthy meal. It's a bit pricey but worth it. read more
Mi-Sant is a fun spot for some Vietnamese flavors and some amazing looking bakery items. We didn't try any of the pastries, but definitely will go back and try them. We ordered the Mi-Sant Special Bowl and the Bulgogi Beef Bowl. You do have the option to modify your bowl. You will order your food from the front counter and then they will call your name when your order is ready. With as busy as it was, we were pleasantly surprised on how quick the food was ready. All of the food tasted fresh and similar to your standard Vietnamese noodle salads. We did enjoy the flavors, but thought our food could've used a little something more to make it really pop. The egg rolls were on par with the rest of our food! We will definitely be back! read more

Really enjoyed this Vietnamese restaurant/café! The vibe is super chill and cute -- perfect for hanging out with friends. I loved the egg roll and bulgogi bowl, both were flavorful and satisfying. They also have a great selection of pastries, which was a nice surprise! The only downside was that it felt a bit too warm inside, especially around the balcony/indoor seating area. Other than that, a lovely spot I'd definitely come back to! read more
Visited Mi Sant for the first time - the inside is nice and modern and the staff were all helpful and friendly. I had the egg rolls, special spring rolls, and classic banh mi. The spring rolls were the shining star and may be my favorite in the twin cities - they were large, had a great texture, and came with a delicious peanut sauce . The banh mi bread was good but the filling was on the blander side and was disappointing. I think adding more pate would be helpful. The eggs rolls were good - ask for fish sauce instead of the sweet and sour sauce that came with them. read more
Great fast casual Vietnamese restaurant for egg rolls and spring rolls! There are three tablets upon walking in where you can place a dine in or to go order. If you prefer talking to a person, you can do that at a counter further in the restaurant as well. Food came out incredibly fast, 5 minutes after I placed my order. You'll get a text when your order is ready. -- The egg rolls were fantastic. The wrapper was thin and so crispy, and the pork filling was juicy and flavorful. It was served with a sweet and sour sauce, but ask for their vietnamese vinaigrette fish sauce instead. The vietnamese vinaigrette was balanced and complemented the egg rolls well. -- The banh mi was a little bland and disappointing. I ordered the Classic Vietnamese Hams and there was barely any pate or mayo. The bread was definitely the best part and had a nice chew to it. I think toasting the bread would've made it better. -- The spring rolls were awesome and possibly the best I've had in the cities. I ordered the Mi-Sant Special and loved the crunch from the egg roll wrapper inside. The fillings were fresh. The peanut sauce was on the runnier side and I wish it had more hoisin flavor, but you get a bunch of the sauce so it's enough for the 3 rolls. -- The coconut raisin croissant is the perfect pastry if you like desserts that aren't sweet. It had a nice flaky crust and it was so soft and fluffy on the inside. The coconut flakes were very sparse on the inside, so it's more like a raisin croissant with a hint of coconut flavor and sweetness. read more

Tried their Ham, Egg & Cheese Croissant today, definitely in my Top 5 quick stop for a good fresh croissant! Super cheesy and the flavors mixed well together, croissant was nicely baked (I do normally want my croissant to be a bit more buttered taste wise). Overall very good experience! Staff was very professional and fast, there's plenty of seatings and very spacious! read more

Perfect! So glad I finally decided to stop here as I was in the area. There is a private parking lot which aids to any extra time you may be factoring in - not needed. I adore the concept as you can either order with a cashier or on a tablet. Offering dine in or takeout, the options are endless. I worked with a cashier who helped me learn the menu as a newbie. I tried the egg roll bowl with recommended peanut sauce and pork, 1 coffee frappe and 1 butter croissant. I adored the egg roll bowl as it was super filling and savory. I treated my drink and croissant like dessert - yum! The interior is bright with tons of windows and natural lights. There are varying plants, giant white menu hanging boards from the ceilings and tangible bakery items on display that you can see (and touch once you buy of course). The back part of the building has the classic Baker's Square room with a domed ceiling and lots of tables and sunlight. It almost resembles a greenhouse which we certainly appreciate in MN. The main space has a bar, 2 farm style tables that can fit 20 people easily and then about 6 cafe small tables. The menu is pretty large from coffee to tea to spring rolls to noodle bowls to bahn mi and breakfast sandwiches. No matter how your order is placed, you will get a buzzer upon completion. There is a pick up spot to grab all the food so there are no servers. Note: they play pretty funky fun music and the employees are peppy. Enjoy! read more

This is a self-service restaurant with a very convenient ordering system that includes a lot of customizable options, which I really appreciate. For example, you can request no cilantro or carrots in your food, and you can adjust the ice or sugar levels in your drinks. The menu offers traditional and classic Vietnamese dishes, along with a few special house options. The food is delicious--the rice in the bowl is flavorful, and the bulgogi beef is excellent! The spring roll order includes three rolls, making it more of a dinner portion rather than just a shared appetizer. The restaurant has a spacious layout, including a "greenhouse" section that is warm and sunny, perfect for enjoying your meal in natural light. However, one issue stood out during our visit. While we were eating, a waitress began deep cleaning the area, moving furniture and sweeping, even though the space didn't seem particularly dirty. They would need a 30 min prep, so you can order before 9 a.m. however you won’t be able to pick up until 9:30 am. Everything on the menu is served from opening til closing.
Are any of the sauces/dressings gluten free?
Yes! Mi Sants peanut and vinaigrette sauces are gluten free.
