Not particularly fond of its location: less desirable area in Oshawa and paid street parking etc Friendly service and lots of options on the menu...had a hard time deciding on what to order so we got a few items: Tonkotsu King ramen, Agedashi tofu, Gyudon, and side order of Tonkatsu for the 3 of us. Had some rice and tonkatsu left to take home with us to enjoy again! Tasty food and enjoyed the authenticity of Japanese food...loved in Japan as a child and miss the food! Will definitely return the next time we are in the area!

We stopped by this place for dinner on a Sunday night, and there were full tables- this was the first good sign of a great restaurant! We were greeted very warmly and seated immediately. We ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu and creamy vegetarian ramen. Both were super delicious and we devoured this very quickly. The service was excellent and food even more delicious. We are definitely returning back!

Takoyaki

The ramen here is very very good! I no longer have to go outside the Durham region to get authentic ramen. The noodles are fresh and the milky bone broth is delicious, along with the pork BBQ charsiu. Additionally we loved the takoyaki with servings of green or barley tea (iced/hot). The staff are very friendly, & the ambiance is typical for Ramen restaurant. This is a hidden gem, it's now our default ramen place so we'll definitely come again in the future.

This is the only ramen place in Oshawa, and after living in Toronto for most of my life, I needed ramen. Long story short, everything is OK. The flavors aren't quite as good as ramen I've had from konjiki, sansotei, kinton, etc. But it satisfied my craving. I could taste the soy sauce in my shoyu, but the broth lacked a rich, complexity I expected, and the noodles weren't as chewy as I like. The takoyaki was undercooked. The inside layer of batter was almost liquid. And there were no bonito flakes. The gyoza was not as crispy on the outside as it looked. The sauce that was served on the side was lacking flavor, and if there was supposed to be vinegar in the sauce, I didn't taste it. The filling was OK, but again, not quite what I expected. Overall I wanted to give a 3 or 3.5, but the service was super friendly, so hence the 4.

matcha latte!

I've been here twice now and it's by far one of my fave spots to dine at when i'm visiting toronto. They have THE BEST matcha lattes i've ever had: both their hot lattes and the cold blended matcha drinks are my absolute fave! They use a soy milk in it and it tastes so yummy, just like regular milk. Also, the service here is great! They really do their best to accommodate their customers and make sure you have a good experience while dining. If you're looking for a cute date spot, come here :)))

I came here during my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised with the food. They serve the best don katsu I've ever had and the miso soup was amazing. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a hot meal that comforts the soul.

Ramen in Oshawa? This is a very new concept for the city. I was pleased when I tried my soup, it was quite good. Although the broth and noodles don't hold up to the ramen spots that I frequent in Toronto, it's still very good. I also like that there are a variety of options on the menu and different types of ramen to choose from, for those who may have never had ramen before. If you're in the area and craving some ramen, this spot will deliver.

I've been to the one in Toronto and have ordered takeout twice from this location. On Christmas Eve, we went for dine-in at the restaurant. The service is friendly, very attentive, and made good recommendations. Our food came out quickly with good portions and the largest gyoza I've ever seen. I'll admit I like the miso broth at other ramen places better, but my partner is a fan of their hot ramens. My preference would be for more options with chicken, seafood, or a pork cutlet that work with the broth. One of the staff members is very knowledgeable and conducted an impressive Matcha 101 lesson for one table, with the rest of us listening in. I would recommend checking them out if you're in Durham.

I went to the only Ramen restaurant in Durham on June 22. First impression it's a quiet small restaurant but the host/waitress was a very lovely girl! The food it's self was pretty decent I tried salmon onigiri for the first time that day and it taste pretty good although pretty filling by it self I could easily have two of them for a snack or even a meal! I had the Shoyu Ramen as well and it was pretty good although personally the broth could've been a little bit better but it was still very tasty not too salty which I liked. And I got three slices of pork shoulder which were also very good but they could've been a little bit bigger but still very tasty! I would totally go back here if I don't feel like going to Toronto getting Ramen it's great that there's a Ramen place at least 20 minutes from my house now which is awesome

Up to this point I had never tried Ramen noodles, go figure. Well if your going to try something new, might as well go to a place that has a reputation for being really good, this place hit it out of the park!! Situated in downtown Oshawa, this place is adding to the already great selection of restaurants in this area of Durham Service 4/5 We went on a Friday night around 600pm and this place was busy! The server forget to give us menus or even water, but made up for it by being attention and suggestive the rest of the night. Decor 5/5 This place is divided into two sections, it's kinda a weird layout but it works. I love the decor, makes you forget your in Downtown Oshawa. Food 5/5 Wow. I got the King of King Ramen it was amazing. Very flavourful, with a slight hint of spice. The roasted pork shoulder was cooked to perfection. I can't wait to go back and try the various items. We also had the pork dumpling...yum! All in all this place is worth it if u like Japanese Noodles, I know I will be going back.

I was so excited to discover a ramen spot in Durham region. We are truly blessed that it's a Kenzo ramen. The menu is small so they do everything perfect. The pork is so tender, it melts in your mouth. We ordered the spicy charsu ramen spicy level 1 and level 3. My brother finished his level three. It is possible. However if you want to enjoy your meal I recommend level 1. Level 3 has a layer of chili oil covering the surface. The flavors of the broth are amazing. We also ordered gyoza to start. Slightly expensive but delicious. The dining room is very clean, newly renovated, and service is friendly and top notch. I will be recommending this place to my friends.

Came here on a weekday night as a group of 6. We were seated quickly. The restaurant is dimly lit…read morewith candles, casual but cozy, and personally I found it pretty intimate. We shared the tako wasabi and beef carpaccio which were both pretty good! Tako wasabi - can't go wrong. The beef carpaccio was also quite nice - lots of flavour and super tasty, cracker gives it a nice crunch. I tried their Paitan shio. It was pretty good - the broth was delicious and very creamy. On presentation - it's super foamy which I've never seen before. I added a ramen eggs, but it is also topped with pork, bamboo shoots, and more.

Fresh from a tai chi class in the Parkdale neighborhood and bordering on "hangry," I stumbled into…read morethis unassuming ramen shop, and I'm very glad I did. From the outside, it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it spot, but the inside has an authentic, buzzing vibe, complete with what I can only assume was a Japanese top-40 station playing. The layout is long and narrow, making clever use of the space. There are tables for two, larger group spots with benches, and a fully stocked bar complete with stools that seems ideal for solo diners or couples. Practical touches are everywhere: coat hangers at shoulder height, bag hooks under the bar, and a carafe of water that appears on your table moments after you do. The decor is an interesting mix of traditional (wood and paper light fixtures) and quirky (a random yellow bicycle mounted on the wall). I opted for the creamy chicken broth ramen, upgrading with an egg and pork wontons. Now, a heads-up for ramen purists: this isn't strictly traditional. The broth was surprisingly foamy - a first for me--but the flavor was fantastic and deeply savory with clear soy notes. The bowl came with bamboo shoots, red onions, slices of chicken breast (another new one for me in ramen), noodles of course and pork that had the texture of thinly sliced ham. It was an unexpected but delicious combination. So, why four stars and not five? The noise. For a small, intimate space, the sound level was... a lot. Between the music being a touch too loud and my neighbors narrating their entire lives at top volume, my post-tai chi zen was thoroughly rattled. I found it a bit unsettling and couldn't really hear myself think, let alone savor the ramen in peace. Bottom line: The food is inventive and genuinely delicious. If you're looking for a lively, bustling spot with a great bowl of ramen, this is it. If you're a person who prefers a more tranquil, contemplative slurping experience, perhaps bring noise-canceling headphones (which i eventually pulled out) or aim for an off-peak time. I'll be back for the food, but I might need to mentally prepare for the auditory adventure.

Solid 4, with some dishes better than others. Family-friendly…read more I usually get the black knight ramen and chicken karaage to share with my daughter. If we go with my husband, we also get a rice dish. The curry katsu rice dish is delicious!! It is Japanese curry that isn't spicy but very flavourful. We tried the yakisoba, not my fave dish of theirs. It was loaded with mayo sauce, but other than being fatty and creamy, it didn't do much for a balanced savoury flavour. I like that Ippon doesn't use MSG for their soup, my little one loves their ramen. They also provide children's bowl and utensils for the kids. Their mochi ice cream is a must get. Service is always friendly. Washroom is large, clean, and comfortable to bring my child to use.

This is the first time I've seen a Ramen restaurant in Pickering!…read more I decided to try this place out on a Thursday afternoon for takeout on a raining & gloomy day. Their online ordering system is great! it's fast & efficient, and the service is quite fast as well. I decided to try the Red Knight Ramen, which was good, but not the best I've ever had. While the broth was delicious, the added ingredients like kimchi kind of messed with the flavour. I also noticed they used egg noodles, which were pretty chewy as well. I appreciated the fact that they had add ons, like egg and other vegetables. But when I selected Seaweed as an option, I was disappointed to see that it was just two sheets of seaweed. I would've loved for it to be wakame seaweed instead. I also added a side order of the Chicken Karage which was delicious and definitely made fresh! Overall, I wasn't a big fan of the ramen dish itself, and I'm unsure if I will be back. If I do, I may consider doing the Build Your Own Ramen option instead.
