Keith was able to fix my car for about a third of the price a different scammy dealership was charging me and even managed to make one of the issues disappear entirely, no new 3,000 dollar part needed, by implementing a fix no other mechanic had even proposed! I found Keith's as a referral from a failed smog check at a near-by business. It turned out to be a "good" failure, as I found a great place to take my car. Keith is straight forward, and very easy to understand. He is quite knowledgeable, but also has no problem letting you know that he is not sure about your car's issue. He is honest, and easy to work with. A previous reviewer mentioned that, since he is a one-man shop, some flexibility in your schedule is needed to get your car repaired. That is the only draw back to an otherwise perfect experience. I have personally had him work on my old Jeep, and new Fit. This shop was recommended by another local shop to evaluate an oil leak. When I went to this shop, the owner explained the challenges in determining the origin. For him to look at and do a review of the source was a $100 that would apply to any of his work that we would do to rectify. This was the first flag for me but since he came recommended I agreed. Estimate to evaluate? HMMM. I was given a range of possibilities and no clear diagnosis of the source except if I want to take care of the leaks I was looking at upward of 1200 +. I suspected the distributor before bringing it to this shop and he confirmed something I already new. Now get this.. his charge to put a new distributor was $800. Unbelievable. I scoped out the part replacement and there was a range from 150 to 240. Ok, figure a hour shop time to install. None of these had to be built as he implied (since he has done many of these). When we went back to him to put a UV light to see if the dye in the oil would result in further sources, I noted Keith's attitude was strong. Another words, it was clear that is was about his time and nothing else. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect service for free but I do expect fair pricing and respect when discussing options instead of copping an attitude when I asked / question. Well, where do I start in recognizing the spectacular service provid by Keith's Autobahn in Dublin. I was entirely stuck with Porsche Type IV motor in a specially car with a custom built injection system that wouldn't run right and couldn't be driven on the street. I didn't know what to do, I had contacted a few local mechanics who felt the job was too complex and didn't want to deal with it. Then I got lucky, I literally ran into Keith while out shopping at the mall, gave him my scenario and (I don't know if it was the complete look of desperation on my face or what) he told me that he would be glad to help me out and even offered to come to my house to troubleshoot the issue. As soon as his schedule would allow he came by, inspected the car, came up with a plan, rescheduled to 'come back' to my house and address the issue and work through the problems step by step until things were right. Within a few days the car was running as expected... awesome!! My 2nd review. The first one was something I didn't like. To balance out, this one I like. I have a relatively old car and I brought it here first with the engine light on. I forgot what was wrong with it - about 2 years ago. But I've been coming back for other things since then - recently changed the front struts. Also brought another car for 60K maintenance. Keith does good a job for a reasonable price. He won't "nickle and dime" you. You just need to be flexible since he is the only one in that shop. You will need an appointment so he can schedule your car. It's a lot better than going to the dealership. read more

I would like to respond to CA C. review. Keith is currently working on our expedition. It has an issue that could be a couple of "things" (my words). When explaining to me the issues, Keith was very knowledgeable about what it could be and I felt very comfortable on the upfront costs. I did not get any funny vibes or attitude from Keith. I also went home and checked the parts on the internet. I agree that there are parts that are priced much lower than Keith quoted me. I decided as a business owner myself, I understand the liabilities on using inferior or untested/untried products and I would not take a chance on a less superior product or service. My children drive this vehicle and I would want someone to work on it that has my children's safety as their first concern.
