I locked my keys inside my car on accident at the gas station while cleaning out my vehicle. When I called, I was quoted $29.00 plus an Additional $39.00 to get my keys out of my vehicle. Upon arrival he explained what he'd be doing and got my keys out in under a minute, he also arrive within 20mins of calling which was great. When it was all said and done, I was charge $214.00 which was wayyyy more than what I was quoted. He tried to say it was because of emergency but arnt all calls emergency?? It didn't make sense to me and I feel like I was charged more simply because he could. I was not charged what I was quoted and if I would have known what I would have been charged, I would have tried a different person. It was unfair and not ethical. The service overall was great but the fact I was charged $214.00 and quoted under $100.00 is totally unprofessional and a rip off! In our first conversation, there was a little bit of confusion about the price of services--I had requested a quote via Yelp about the rekeying, and it was a different amount than what Alex had brought up. Alex quickly called the office, I pulled up the quote on my phone, and we quickly resolved the issue, and the original quoted price was honored. Called KB Lock & Key this morning asking if they could program 2 Jaguar auto keys and cut the metal keys also after I couldn't stand the thought of spending lots of money at the dealership. The person answering the phone was very professional and within 2 hours or less the locksmith called to say he was on his way and showed up on time. The locksmith determined that one of the key fobs I had bought online (not a factory original) was defective and could not transmit. He quickly was able to program the other one and cut the key. Since he was here, I also had an RV where the dealer only gave us one key when purchased. He sold me a spare key fob, quickly programmed it and cut the metal key and tested out both vehicles to make sure everything worked fine. He was very good as a locksmith, professional and COVID safe.
