Very authentic Ramen! Been there several times doesn't disappoint. Any choice that you make is delicious I especially love the spicy miso. If you're in the area, you must try! read more

We've been coming here since they opened, food has always been good however they decided to change their menu this week, and now refuse to give my daughter the side of chicken broth she always orders which used to be on their menu for $6, and she would just add the plain wavy noodles since she has allergies and cant have a lot of other items that they put in their $15.50 bowls, we always order a lot of food, so not trying to be cheap, her's usually cost's $11.50, so now in order to get the same soup they are making us order the $15.50 bowl + the extra noodles she would normally get, making her plain noodles and broth now cost $17 to Order. unfortunately, after the customer service we experienced today, well no longer be coming back. read more

Service: we went for dinner and waited about 5 minutes then showed to our table. We knew what we wanted to order so our order was taken about 3 minutes after we got to table. Then we waited for like 25 minutes before our food came out. The server came and told us they were making our food after 10 minutes of ordering, so I was thinking it would come out in like 2-3 minutes. Nope, we had to wait there for about another 15 minutes. Food: one of our bowl ramen came with pork belly and chicken, but the chicken was missing. We had to tell them and waited again for them to just bring the chicken to add on top. The noodles, I think they use a dry noodles because it tastes like the one I would use at home and just need to cook in hot water for 8 minutes. The bowl is small, noodles, soup and topping only half a bowl, maybe I'm used to getting a big bowl in pho places. Very little toppings (meat, veggies) was giving for a $15 (2 1x2 inch and thin pieces of pork belly) and $18 (2 pieces pork belly and 4 pieces chicken 1x1 inch) bowls of ramen, it's like I paid them to just let me sit there and wait. Do not recommend this place. Over all I had better ramen elsewhere and their prices and wait time is craz read more

Updating my review to 5 stars. I've been here so many times now and found that despite not having a kids menu, my kiddo and I just share the ramen and it's still plenty of food for both of us! Still in love with the spicy miso, also love the katsu, shrimp tempura, their eggs in the ramen are cooked to perfection, edamame is also excellent, and the staff is so friendly!! read more

Sadly, I cannot give this the rating I was hoping to. I went with a group and it was our first time at this location. We were trying to ask questions about options on the menu and the server was very abrupt and did not seem happy at all to help with suggestions or recommendations on any items. When asking if anything could be edited as an option, she was not very accommodating and not helpful at all. The food was OK... The chicken tasted very stale. The Gyoza was very good but everything else was barely just meh. read more

I have been hearing about Kazu since it opened so I had to try it. I ordered Take out and the service was really quick. I order the Karaage (fried chicken thighs)YUM! I also y order the Kazu Ramen, it is there signature dish and had just a tiny bit of kick to it... adds the perfect amount of flavor... next time I go I will eat in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend Kazu as the ambiance was so inviting. read more

We ordered takeout from Kazu, as it was rated #2 overall in terms of ramen in the valley. We were really excited to try the food, and it was so stale, flavorless, and the chicken tasted SOUR. We really hope to give it another try if they change some flavor profiles. read more

Family friendly establishment with decent ramen and standout appetizers. Other than their five ramen options and eight appetizers, Kazu Ramen also offered rice bowls and sushi rolls. The beverage selection consisted of a few sakes, beers and traditional fountain sodas. Service was stellar and we were consistently checked on. Appetizers came out within 5 minutes while the ramen arrived in 15. =FOOD= *Kazu: their signature ramen with pork chasu and grilled chicken. The broth was on the thinner side and despite being considered "spicy", I would have rated it as 2/10 in terms of spice. Both the chasu and chicken were on the chewier side but I enjoyed the grilled flavor. The seasoned egg was sweet and gooey. Bean sprouts and kikurage mushrooms balanced out the saltiness but the black garlic wasn't prominent. The straight noodles had a pleasant bounce and I preferred them over the wavy alternative. *Spicy Miso: had more flavor broth wise than the Kazu. There was an option to make it even spicier for $1 more and I would pick this if you actually want to feel some heat. Still palatable for those sensitive to spice. Noodles were similarly bouncy. Good if you prefer a saltier broth and don't mind having only chasu. The corn was a nice counterpart. *Karaage: chicken was tender and covered in a mild, light batter. Surprisingly the side salad was memorable, crisp with a vibrant vinaigrette. *Gyoza: although the menu listed these dumplings as pan fried, they lacked any crispiness and resembled the steamed version. Regardless, the pork and veggie filling was juicy and sweet. Went well with the acidic and salty gyoza sauce. Would order again albeit the misleading description. Really nice to have a legitimate ramen spot in Gilbert. While I prefer my broths to be more robust and thick, the basics were there and the appetizers were above average. The family was friendly and that's always a plus. read more

Went here for lunch the other day. We got there right at noon, and there was only one other table; so I was a little concerned. However, after 15-20 minutes the place was almost full. I ordered the Kazu Ramen bowl. It was very good. I especially loved the spicy pork broth. Perfect amount of spice and rich flavor. Well definitely be back! read more

A go to, great ramen place. Ramen is tasty, authentic. Excellent service. Definitely will be back.

This place is delicious! My wife and I tried this place for the first time tonight and it really surprised us. My wife got the Kazu ramen and I got the Tonkotsu with black garlic. Both broths were flavorful and the noodles were cooked just right. We also had mochi ice cream for dessert. Make sure you go early because it gets busy during normal dinner hours. read more

Always the struggle to find decent ramen on this side of town, but happy Kazu Ramen is here! Visited for lunch on a Saturday and the wait wasn't too long. We each ordered a different type of ramen, plus Gyudon and tempura shrimp, edamame as starters. Edamame portion was a little small and tempura shrimp was okay. We appreciated them noticing and taking the extra care to remake the salad that accompanied the tempura shrimp, when the server realized that the dressing had peanuts (peanut allergy in our group). Ramen broth was tasty, pork was deliciously charred and juicy! The only thing I wish were different, was a more soft-boiled egg but otherwise the ramen was great! Gyudon rice bowl was yummy too. read more

We've tried the ramens, appetizers, and beverages. The lines are getting longer so others are finding out about their ramen. The service has always been excellent. food: I have to say that this place has really improved since my first time coming here! I wasn't a huge fan the first time I came but decided to try again after the grand opening rush faded and I am so glad I did! The ramen was so good and I had to swipe hands away from stealing bites of the chicken on the side. Not a huge ramen person? I also recommend trying one of the rice bowls! ambiance: They don't take reservations but weekdays aren't too bad of a wait for a quick dinner. I really enjoyed looking at the fun decor filled with ramen-inspired art! read more

I still haven't had a good ramen in Arizona. Only in SD and Hawaii were the best places that had the best ramen. This place was down the street from my house. So I wanted to try it with my bf.. We got karaage for appetizer. Too plain for me. For ramen we got spicy miso and Tonkotsu. Not much to say.. Nothing special. My Ramen wasn't as hot. It was kind of cold and they were both pretty salty.. I might give this place another try in the future. I'm hoping it'll taste and get better by then read more

Was visiting Arizona and we were craving some Asian food and ramen always seems to be a safe option! We were super excited since it looked like their soft opening so we ordered the shrimp tempura, 3 kazu ramens which are their specialty and poke appetizer. The ramen itself is not super creamy and it's very watery actually. The noodles are not fresh and they taste like they are definitely packaged. It had black garlic in it but I could barely taste the garlic. And our poke appetizer never came out because it was forgotten. The waitress was super nice and she was the only one working so just purely based on taste, it is average. I wish the ramen had a thicker consistency to it like I'm used to. read more

This place!!! It's a small little restaurant. The service is great, really nice people. I crave the spicy miso broth. I could drink it by the gallon. Unfortunately, they don't sell like that. There is something here for everyone. Yummy, Run of the mill chicken teriyaki for your less adventurous peeps. Spicy miso if you like a little zing. (So so so good). And the Vegas roll is also craveable. And normal ramen bowls of You like noodles with out the spice. Go here. You won't regret it. read more

Come for the ramen stay for the sushi! My favorite item on the menu is the Golden California roll; a California roll fried in tempura and drizzled with eel sauce. The gyoza, one of my go to items, are pretty good and the ramen is rich and flavorful with all the right toppings. I have come here twice now and ordered the same thing. read more

The spicy miso was damn good. Good enough that both my friend and I cleared our bowls on top of an order of gyoza and karage. My friend ordered the Kazu Ramen and she wasn't a huge fan of the straight noodles but my spicy miso was on point with the wavy noodles. I really enjoyed both broths but would sub the noodle for wavy in the Kazu. Let's just say the ramen was good in a sense that even after finishing the contents, we both kept just sipping on the broth for over 30 minutes while we caught up. The service was great too - quick and efficient. I don't live near there but I'll absolutely go there again the next time I'm in the area. read more

Oh man, Kazu Ramen is becoming more popular every day. The food here is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Kazu Ramen is a great place to eat. My husband and I came here and we had a good experience. The ambiance is good, food quality is good and price was good. We were a little hesitant at first to come here because my mom said it was too salty and she didn't like the texture of the noodles. I was reminded that she has a low salt restriction on her diet so to her, any normal dish is salty. Then I saw a Yelp review of the same complaints my mom had about adding water to the salty soup. I did not have that same experience. The ramen was good. I ordered the Kazu spicy broth ramen and it was just the right amount of spice. Not too overwhelming. Not too salty. I thought the consistency of the noodles were great. Fully cooked. Maybe they made corrections, I'm not sure? It's worth visiting here. My husband ordered the Gyudon and he liked it. He's a picky eater so I trust his judgement. read more

I can count on one hand the number of 1-star experiences I've had, but when I couldn't even eat at your restaurant due to three 16 year olds trying to manage a restaurant, you deserve it. Seriously the young lady that sat my wife and I was very nice, but the other two wait staff arguing over who has to take which table was over the top. Still waiting for service, a mother and son get seated next to us and after minutes they have to ask if there is any service. So how the old saying goes, "the squeaky wheel gets the oil", they get service. Here's a hint to all the young waiters and waitresses out there... always take drink orders from the couple on a date! They tend to tip better. I know I got preachy on this review and yet I haven't said anything about the food.... That's because I didn't even stay to eat. After 20 minutes of waiting in a seemingly empty restaurant on a Monday night, I couldn't reward this incredibly bad customer service! To the owner.... Hire someone who wants to work and can make customer based decisions running your restaurant. read more

Be sure to order water for your ramen! I am a serious salt lover but this ramen was too salty. I had to pour in almost half my cup of water for it to even be edible. This is the first time I have not returned a completely empty bowl. And the noodles... I swear they weren't cooked all the way because of the texture. If you do the typical noodle test to see if it's cooked, I'd say it was maybe Al dente. If you do the chew test, it was definitely sticking to my teeth in a way that said it needed more cook time. I also hate to compare, but there were far less noodles here than in other bowls of ramen I've got at other places. I was so excited to potentially find a good ramen place nearby. Guess I'll keep looking. ‍ The takoyaki was great though!! read more
