It's a tiny little cabana with a fridge stocked with pies, sandwiches, etc as well as a few shelves stocked with packaged cookies and a rack of bread loaves. Behind the till there is a display of pastries and the coffee bar. We tried a few different pastries, cookies, coffees, passion fruit lemonade, and took home a loaf of sourdough. The chocolate chip cookies absolutely slapped and the sourdough loaf was great. I didn't love the lemon drop cookies-- they just weren't tart enough for my taste, but I think this is consistent with my review of the key lime pie at Krewe and leads me to believe that I just love a really deep citrus flavor, which isn't for everyone. I also would try a more classic pastry instead of the blackcurrant danish next time, but all the baking is truly top notch, just a matter of finding what speaks to your preferences. The lemonade is tasty but the added flavors are powdered (makes sense given the limited fridge space) so I would stick with plain next time. Service was very kind and prompt. Come through! You won't regret it!

Service was pretty good and efficient although the servers were not the friendliest but they were nice enough. It was a very busy Sunday so maybe they were just tired by the time we came in at 12:30. It's a nice modern looking place that look like a lot of locals enjoy going to especially for Sunday brunch. We've never been to downtown Saint Joseph before so it was nice to see what the college town had to offer. The food came pretty quickly and everyone was happy with their Food servings for a good size although we ordered some extra rice for the jambalaya and the gumbo and the beans. Since we were a big group, we probably ordered most of the things on the brunch menu. There are some items that they don't carry for brunch like the cornbread or hush puppies. Unless you order a bloody Mary in which case you get one hush puppy. It was overall a great visit and would come back here again if we were in the area.

Our waitress (possibly the owner?) was so friendly, personable, quick and attentive. The food was exactly what we ordered and she was flexible with our requests. We prefer a few healthier options, like fruit or whole grains, with breakfast, and we like excellent coffee, and those aren't on offer here, but I didn't take a star away for that because the Park Diner is exactly what you want it to be - a nice, clean diner with generous portions and great staff.

The building was clean but the bathroom floors were a little bit sticky. Our service was good and she came back multiple times to ask use if we needed anything. Jaclin is very friendly and professional. The family had a great time, and the geese were happy since we gave them some snacks. Among other things, as a chef, I recommend the Spam skewers--yes, Spam--and the BBQ ribs, which are fantastic. Good selection of drinks, and behind the bar, very skilled hands. Until next time...
