Times Square
Lei A.

Came here with family late one night as they're open 24 hours, I believe. The worst part was the wait with the limited seating but everything else from the atmosphere to the food was a 10/10. Our server was very patient and amicable with our party of 5 and the seemingly endless questions and preferences of each individual. I had a margarita flight and the Times Square sandwich and everything was delicious.

Doordash took Ten minutes to retrieve. This place is nice and vintage. Music is smooth and the people here look well to do. Food is fresh. Cheesecake shake and the Ruben Sandwich are recommended by staff.

I've been here a couple times and it usually takes a while to bring out the food, probably around 25-30 minutes. Their food is OK and I have only tried their breakfast items. Waffles were nice and fluffy. The brisket tasted good on its own, but the hollandaise sauce didn't pair well with it. Servers are all very nice and attentive. They will refill coffee without being asked. It is a lively place and has a diner-style feel to it. The dessert is AMAZING. I was hesitant since the bread pudding had raisins but I would absolutely come here again just for that. The chocolate cake was good too, but the bread pudding really stood out. Easy to park, they have a parking lot attached.

We always try to stop by Katz when we are in Houston for the French dip and matzo ball soup. My husband should be a spokesperson for this sandwich. Service is always friendly here. Our food was served hot and didn't wait too long. I tried the pastrami Reuben. Flavor is there I just wish the meat was thicker instead of sliced deli meat. It's still a tasty sandwich.

Well.... The vibe was definitely giving NYC. No greeting from the hostess just straight in with "for two?" with zero personality. Other staff greeted us kindly as we walked toward our table. Our waiter was nice and attentive but the food felt rushed and the jalapeño poppers came out cold. Sandwich and artichoke dip were pretty good. I got Matzo ball soup to-go which tasted great. For Houston I think they could've represented themselves a bit better. Would I go back? Yes, but the staff should and could use more spark and to make sure food comes out hot.

Let's start with Jason, bar staff. Excellent attention. Courteous. Friendly. The Tomato Basil soup is good. My first time to have it. Has a little spice, but only enough to warm the throat. The soup was a bit thick and could have used a fresh grated parm on top. I would order again. The burger. Cooked perfectly. Had mushrooms on it that were not ordered, but easy to remove. A side of onion rings were perfect, as usual. $61 was painful. Still a great place to go late night.

Well, I stopped by for a late lunch and having been a customer previously had a certain expectation. I was greeted promptly with a smile by the hostess who inquired to the size of my party of one, then led to a table when I declined seating at the bar. It was when I was being seated that the first odd thing occurred, the hostess asked the gay couple at the next table if it bothered them if I were seated at the next table. They obviously were gay and a couple since they were kissing passionately and rubbing each others groin areas in public. But nevermind my thoughts of having lunch next to a passionate couple. TBH, this ruined my whole lunch vibe. Things proceeded downhill from there. The server came across as totally unconcerned with me and my experience and only interested in whether or not I wanted to order an appetizer. I ordered an iced tea and it took a full 5 minutes to get my beverage, by which time I was ready to order. Again I was hit up to order an appetizer, which I declined. I ordered the Pastrami and Eggs which when delivered to my table was acceptable, but I could have cut the poor attitude with a knife. My server, Lamar, didn't bother to check in as to how things were or if I needed refills on my tea or water. When he finally did swing by and I declined the offer of desert and requested my check; I heard him tell the hostess that I was his last table. Not something which encourages me to return, regardless of his previous poor service. Come time to pay my bill, Lamar hands me a tablet with a preloaded suggested tip amount which was insulting to me given the poor customer service which I received. I should add that working in the service industry myself, I'm very atune to the difference between good guest service and distain for the customer. Maybe Lamar needs to check his career goals because he doesn't excel in guest service. If my visit today is indicative of the regular service, I can't recommend stopping by. I will say that in my previous visits the service has been much better.

I was excited to try Katz after a referral to eat here . The food itself is very disappointing. I had chicken Parmesan sandwich . Soggy before I could eat it .. dripping of water sauce from marinara . I asked to send back . I got the country club . It's a sandwich so not much I can mess up . It was hard to though . Didn't know it came on a bagel and the bagel was a bit toasted so hard to bite . The homemade spinach dip is a LIE . Nothing homemade about it . It was super watery . The Alfredo pasta is wayyy over priced for taste . No seasoning. Very dry ... Kids pizza was undercooked . Cheese wasn't even melted yet . Service was though. Waiter and manager were respectful . Ambiance is family friendly nice and clean . Over this experience is a 2 out 5 . I honestly expected way more . The bill was $41 for Alfredo and a sandwich lol . I was pissed because it wasn't even worth $10 . Not sure what's the hype was but I didn't Find it OH AND HAIR WAS IN OUR FOOD . Enjoy the nice I tried to take .

Cobb Salad

Always good food! I do feel it's better to eat in, but this time I ordered delivery. Service was fast and my food was fresh. I ordered the Cobb salad. Their Cobb salad does not come with a boiled egg, just so you know. I did pay for extra avocado, because I love them. They offer a very nice variety of salad dressing. However, I wasn't feeling adventurous today.‍ The ambiance is casual and usually pretty busy. When ordering delivery you miss the temptation of the dessert counter. But even delivery is safe sometimes. The cheesecake still calls my name. However, their food is consistent as well as their service. I've not had a bad experience. So if you're looking for a down home kinda meal, Katz's will probably work for you.

Avocado toast with salmon

I was excited about trying this place. The atmosphere and decoration are cool. We ordered the margarita flight which was yummy. Then we got the avocado toast and the Salmon Eggs Benedict. I would not get the eggs benedict again, as the sauce was sour tasting. We didn't like it. We absolutely loved the avocado toast. It was so fresh and tasty. We ended our meal with watching a drunk person out the window hit our vehicle in the Katz parking lot and the cops had us waiting hours and they never came to help us. We won't be returning because of this incident. Go somewhere else if you're out and about on a Friday night.

Stopped in today at Katz's for a to-go order. Upon entering it was quite busy but hostess seemed to be handling well. The place is very nice, has an upstairs portion as well as downstairs with a bar. I went straight to pick up line to order and had a minimal wait time. Ordered and food maybe too about 10-15 minutes to be ready. I'm a big stuffed jalapeno popper person and these just didn't do it for me. Not sure if they're made in house but they definitely have a Costco/Sam's pop in the air fryer quality to them. The raspberry chipotle really saves them and makes them pretty decent. My Kountry Klub was overall pretty nice experience. I got it how it comes on whole wheat. The bread has a minor sweetness to it that I really enjoyed. I don't usually eat bacon but this one was tolerable so that's nice. The sandwich was a bit dry overall, wish it had a sauce that came with it or a little more moisture from tomatoes or something. The chocolate cake is AGGRESSIVELY sweet. I'm a fan of sweets but even this one was pushing it for me. It also comes with a fudge sauce and that totally throws it even more overboard. If that's your thing so be it, this is for you! Overall, I'm neither mad or extremely excited for Katz's. The price point is fairly steep. I got out with all this at a little over $50. A price point that I can go get bigger quality more flavorful dishes somewhere else. They are open 24/7 so I could see how this would be a great after leaving a club spot. All in all, it was a decent experience. I may have to try more of the menu and give another review

Went a few weeks ago with my family food was pretty good but the real star was the decorations and service. Would go back just would probably stick to the breakfast menu and not the pasta.

I assume that the happy hour portion sizing is little smaller than the non-happy hour dishes, but I could be wrong. We ordered the Polo Club Suya, Meat Pie Minnies, Coconut Chicken Bites, Golden, Buka, and Black Star. I believe happy hour is M-F, 3-6:30PM Not to be a chicken nugget girl, but I will say that the Coconut Chicken Bites were one of my favorite dishes that night. The chicken was sooo tender and perfectly fried. I don't think I really tasted much coconut though, but still yummy regardless! I also really enjoyed the Meat Pie Minnies and the Polo Club Suya! The pastry pie is so delicious and the Polo Club Suya was packed with flavor. Wished the meat was just a tad more tender, but awesome for the taste buds. Service was great as well - even though it was busy, the staff was still attentive and I felt like our food came out in a timely manner. Interior vibes gave ethnic wine bar feel. It's clean, well decorated, with music flowing. Would recommend to street park for free. There is a valet but the lot is packed. The vibe is great, the decor is awesome, the food delivers consistently, and service rarely takes a day off -- it's just a solid place to go when you're up for some great southern comfort classics. Cocktails, delicious. The daily food specials make it refreshing. The oysters never disappoint. We've rarely had to wait long on any ordered items and servers are all top notch. My only minor complaint is some of the larger groups visiting can sometimes forget there are others in the restaurant. We don't need to hear your entire conversation about the latest office gossip.

*this review is only for crawfish, not their regular menu (which is amazing) *…read more We went here during crawfish season because they've been advertising their $8/lb crawfish, and we trusted that it would be great given the quality of their regular menu. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!
