    Katsu Curry Burger with pork
    Fionna L.

Reasonable prices and it hit the spot. I got the Katsu Curry burger with pork and while it tasted good (with no strong curry flavor), I'd only rate it 3/5 because the crispy pork was thin and dry. I would recommend getting beef instead. The "cheese" was also a thin sauce instead of real cheese. It still made for a satisfying meal. The interior is dark with punchy graphics, framed Studio Ghibli prints and other touches of Japanese culture. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Saturday and it seems like most people do takeout. You can either order at the kiosk or online (the soonest you get your food from an online order is 10 mins) and the service was friendly. I appreciated how they had plant-based options too: tofu and impossible plant protein! Tl;dr this is a good spot. Get your burgers with beef if you can!

Katsu burger is one of my favorite places. If you're ever wanting an option for a place to eat that isn't just the same old thing, come here! They do burgers but instead of beef patties they put katsu in it! I love the flavoring as they use things such as tonkatsu sauce in the burgers and nori seasoning on the fries (if you want it lol). There's plenty of seating and there's a cool mural inside as well! Although you order primarily through kiosks, the staff are still helpful for questions or water cups or what have you. Highly recommend!

Came here on a recommendation and it lived up to the hype. It was dead in the middle of the day but I bet it is vibing during mealtime or when the college school-year is in session. The burger is very different (in a good way) from anything I've had. It's quite fun to be able to mix meats on a burger. I'd love to try a bunch of the different fun pre-built burgers at some point. The very generous portion of curry fries are unique and go very well with the Japanese mayo.

I used to go to the Katsu Burger down in Georgetown very often and loved their food a lot, so I was very happy to get the same things when I went to this location. It's Cap Hill, so good luck finding parking anywhere regardless of the time of day, I went here on a Wednesday noon with some friends to an empty restaurant that seems like it could get very noisy; there's a bar (without any seats near it) and tables seating throughout the area. Music is also blasting inside. You can order food using any of two kiosks near the front, so nothing to say about service here. I got the ohayou gozaimasu burger and it's just as big as I remember it. It has a beef katsu patty, bacon, cheddar cheese, Japanese mayo, Tonkatsu sauce and a fried egg inside, and it was delicious! Bun doesn't come apart, and the burger is messy - in a good way. I also had some of my friends' noir fries which also hit the spot despite them being regular fries! These two constants that I always get at any Katsu Burger still remain the same after so long, so I was definitely happy about that. Great place to have a humongous burger and some seaweed-sprinkled fries!

I tried this Katsu burger spot during my visit in Seattle, and it was quite a surprised. I did really enjoy the chicken katsu burger I ordered. It was also extremely filling and was a good bite. However, I did think was that it could use a bit more filling. I think more curry sauce in my burger would have been a nice touch. I did also feel that the bread is a bit dry and could use some improvement. Otherwise, I did enjoy my meals. The chicken tasted great and was quite nice. I did think there was quite a bit of lettuce on my burger. Staff was great, took about 10 mins for my burger to come out which was quite fast. The restaurant was empty when we visited but whoever was on aux was doing a good job setting the vibes. There is plenty of seating available. I do want to come back and try some of the other burger items since they look quite interesting. There were also plenty of milkshake available, and I tried a chai milkshake. I have not seen that flavor before and it was great, quite similar to a chai tea latte but in milkshake form. My stomach took a beating eating a full katsu burger with the shake, I could not imagine adding a side of fries to make that a meal.

I pre-ordered the tofu burger and curry fries with nori ranch online; the order was ready when I got there! While I appreciate the thick slab of tofu, it wasn't very flavorful. It's called a miso honey burger but neither of those flavors were coming through, it was pretty plain. The tofu was almost too much for the rest of the burger. The bread wasn't the softest. Both the curry fries and nori ranch had good flavor! Fries are on the crispier side rather than soft, fluffy and potatoey.

    UMAMI WAGYU - $12.95

WHEN: Tues @1pm Looks like more people do take out since you can order online. It was completely empty when we came so we ate indoors. This place is quite spacious but the tables were beyond sticky to the point where it no amount of disinfectant wipes could fix. So I tore open our bag our orders came in and made a placemat. Here's what was ordered: UMAMI WAGYU - $12.95 This was a seasonal special so I thought I try it. This burger is created with savory wagyu beef, swiss cheese, bacon, caramelized onions and creamy Japanese mayo & Tonkatsu sauce. Crispy shredded cabbage, pickles and tomatoes are also added to enhance the flavor. It was definitely a hefty one, I recommend sharing if you wanna try other things. It's pretty good BANZAI BITES - $5.95 Fun-snack size chicken strips and pork bites (you can have one or the other). Got the Nori Ranch which was a nice creamy and salty dipping sauce. These bites weren't very memorable since they tasted dry. Glad I still gave them a shot! FRIES - $3.75 Got the Miso Honey Mustard sipping sauce which was nice, and the fries are pretty decent for some standard fries. Really nothing much else about it. Overall the food was okay. I think this is the point where too much shades of brown food was ordered and my body needs a green smoothie or something, haha. Still, no regrets!

You must try Katsu Burger. It's a twist on burgers and tonkastu and they made it taste so good. I got the Tokyo classic with chicken as my protein (other options include pork, beef). The chicken was so crispy and the Mayo / tonkatsu sauce was incredible. I enjoyed every bite of it. We had to order through a kiosk. I don't enjoy using these are restaurants. The staff was helpful whenever we had questions though. The katsu burgers were made in a timely manner. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. I liked the themes and art that was created. It's a nice area to enjoy some good food. There were plenty of seating in the place.

I loved the decor here at Katsu Burger! This is a chill restaurant with really good burgers. The Godzilla Attach ($11.95) was large enough to share. It was perfectly crispy, a little spicy, and all around delicious! I also tried the Wasabi Coleslaw ($3.90) and wasn't a huge fan. The flavor was so mild and the portion was small. I'd recommend getting a different side besides the coleslaw. Overall, Katsu Burger is a good place if you're looking for a modern twist to your traditional burgers.

Tried the Tokyo Classic burger for the first time and was impressed by its size-these burgers are HUGE! Easily shareable with a side of fries and drinks. The bar was unfortunately closed, which was part of the reason we initially went, so hopefully that will open up soon.

I'm also from out of state so everytime i went I wasn't able to try it out until this time! It was definitely worth it! It's a small restaurant located across from another sushi place. The restaurant itself has a warm and cozy atmosphere. We ordered the ochazuke, the unigiri (mentaiko mayo and the mentaiko special), as well as the agedashi tofu. The ochazuke was very good! I ordered it with grilled eel and after the original dashi broth was added into the rice, the dish was just perfect! I definitely recommend trying this dish! I would go back just for it! The eel was made perfectly and was soft and flavorful. I also loved the mentaiko special onigiri (cheese and spicy roe)! It was so so delicious! We ordered the mentaiko special togo as it was so good we needed to bring it back to california hahaaha. All in all, definitely a five star restaurant I would definitely recommend!! For parking, since it is a busy area, we ended up parking at uwajimaya which has free parking if you make a minimum purchase of $20. We just bought some snacks and that covered parking.

The restaurant is definitely tiny and they do have an outdoor spot but they don't offer outdoor dining, so not sure what that is about. Although if they are full, they ask for your name and it seems like that is where you're supposed to wait to get called. I know this as we were told it would be about a 20 minute wait so we went to walk around but when we returned, we had to get put on the list again as they had apparently called us and we weren't there. I felt like they should take numbers as well because it felt unfair that we returned within the time frame but then we were told in a rude manner for no reason. But it turns out the service here is definitely not warm or good as the employees barely check in on you, took a long time to do things, and I also don't like that we all ordered and mentioned we are doing four separate checks but our onigiri was put together with another person's order in our party. I suppose they do offer a plate on the table but just thought it was a bit annoying. The interior here is cute and cozy. I love the wind chimes above the table we were sitting at. The name and mascot is a fun idea for their restaurant! I did notice that there were a lot of random wet spots which sucked as I had a backpack with me so I had to have it on my lap (I had a seat that was against the wall so couldn't put it on the chair). The menu isn't too big and I definitely want to come back to try the ochazuke as I've always wanted to try it out. But since everyone in my party were getting onigiri and they said the onigiri here is good, I went with the ebi mayo onigiri. I was surprised by the size of the shrimp tempura, it was massive but it was delicious. It wasn't the best shrimp tempura but it was filling and not bad for the price. I also got their lychee fizz which was very refreshing with a satisfying fizz, plus they apparently make the lychee syrup in house. My friends got their other drinks which looked amazing too so definitely want to try those out too.

Simple yet so appetizing. Sushi rolls were both fresh and well prepared. The nigiri was also great and fresh- not fishy. The sweet and warm Japanese curry felt like a welcomed hug on a cold and brisk May afternoon. The biggest complaint was actually the cutlets - despite a nice crunch to it, something felt a little off. Like the cutlets were a bit old or were previously reheated or something. I had to drench each slice with curry to fully enjoy the meal. At the end of the day, two regular-sized curry dishes actually made us quite full and content. We left feeling stuffed and warm - the perfect combination for a chilly spring day. I would say this was a bit pricey for my liking, but what isn't pricey these days in this economy? Solid 4 stars!
