That's incredibly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the restaurant's integrity. What makes it worse is that when booking, you're required to provide a credit card and are charged a fee if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance. But when they cancel on you last minute--with no compensation or accountability--you're just left hanging. Restaurants like this rely on customer trust and loyalty. As soon as my husband and I walked in, we noticed the interior of the restaurant was so pretty. The ambiance is great for a date night or to chill with friends for a special occasion. Around 8pm there's a live singer singing classic pop music while servers perform a dance show. Our server was also really quick and attentive to our requests. Overall the food was really delicious, and the portions were good. We started with heirloom tomato salad and salmon caviar recommended to us by our server. It was honestly a hefty portion, for 2 people and almost got full before our entrees. The tomatoes were fresh and sweet and paired well with the cheese and tangy sauce. I would recommend getting the salmon tartare. It was a big portion and the salmon was seasoned really well with a type of ponzu sauce and there was a perfectly creamy avocado underneath. The free pita chips were a bit stale to my liking but were really good with the salmon tartare. When we ordered the lobster mash potatoes I wasn't expecting a whole lobster tail, but it was so soft and juicy. The steak was cooked well. My favorite entree was the octopus, it was soft and the sauce and sides paired well with it. Although I was stuffed, I devoured the chocolate cake cause it was delicious. It was a fantastic experience! Katsin is just around the corner from our place & we've all been curious about it. My husband & I, together with some friends, decided to celebrate the September celebrants' birthdays at Katsin last night & we enjoyed it so much. There was some mix-up with the food but, overall, it was an amazing night. The entertainment was something! The food was delicious! Our server was very attentive & nice. Knowing we're celebrating several people's birthdays, he offered us the dessert tower. But we were with some young adults so we opted for the drinks tower. And what a fun & fantastic arrangement! What a lovely experience! I've been to the Yerevan location about 2 years ago and this one is exactly the same! Service was wonderful and attentive. The singer was great and the performances were also really entertaining. I'm not a big fan of a lot of loud music at restaurants, but this place had a great balance. Venue was beautiful, amazing decor, you could tell the detail that went into this place. Food was great, some things were better than others, but we didn't have anything that was awful. I think for the location, the they are over charge, this is Glendale not Beverly Hills or Malibu lol. I definitely think they need to tone down their prices because for this rate I could go to so many other restaurants that are nicer, in better location, and less expensive. read more

My friends and I visited Katsin to celebrate a Birthday for their Sunday Brunch. The Ambiance there is really nice. The place was packed everyone looked to be having a great time. After about 10 minutes our table was ready and we were seated. The first thing I noticed after being seated was the music was too loud and they couldn't turn it down for some reason. It was so loud the waiter was hollering to get our orders. The waiter and servers were nice however, it took us about 30 minutes to receive our drinks. They had hookah as well. It was $150 and came with on spout. Finally another 30 minutes after receiving our drinks the waiter came back to take our orders. He later returned to disclose that they were out of chicken and shrimp. Now I believe the owners a Persian throwing a brunch catered to Black folks. They obviously didn't do their homework cause how could they ever run out of chicken and shrimp. So everyone at the table who ordered shrimp or chicken chose another brunch item. Mine you the menu is very small, not much to choose from. We waited another 40 minutes and still no food. We decided to leave and as we're leaving I see the waiter coming out with food. We decided as we had already been at the restaurant for 2 hrs. The vibe was cool but I would definitely eat before going, cause the service was ridiculous. read more

First of all, the food and entertainment was awesome. My groups server was attentive enough. My problem with this place is that we were there celebrating a birthday. We weren't the only table celebrating a birthday this evening, but we were the only black group there. That being said, the servers all sang happy birthday to all the other tables celebrating but did not do that for us. Was it because of our skin color? I don't want to think that, but we did spend over $600 on dinner. We could have gotten the same treatment as the rest of the guests. What made our experience particularly disappointing is that we ordered a $150 dessert tower, significantly more than what others ordered, yet we were the only birthday party that evening who received no acknowledgment or celebration from the staff. My husband is usually in charge of picking restaurants, and he usually does a great job at choosing where we go. Katsin was such a vibe, and the ambiance exceeded our expectations! The servers and performers had high, positive energy. Our server's name is Frobel and he is such a sweetheart, he had a very genuine and humble energy and approach to him. He was extremely attentive, helpful, and overall amazing! He made our experience comfortable, easy, and wonderful (wonderful is what my 8 year old son emphasized). We are so thankful for Frobel's help and for making our Thanksgiving experience at Katsin a phenomenal one. The food was delicious! We started with appetizers and had the Beef Tartare with Bone Marrow 9/10, Tuna Tartare 10/10, and the Katsin Appetizer Large Set to Share 8/10. The Katsin Appetizer is mostly dips. For the meals the kiddos had Mac and cheese, fries and my son had the Atlantic Salmon Fillet. My son rated the salmon a 10/10 lol! My husband and father in law both had the lamb chops 9/10 and the Moroccan Octopus 10/10. The rest of our family and I had different meals, but this review will never end if I name what the rest of us had. Overall food was delicious, good portion, and good quality! I do want to mention the $114 whisky my father in law had.... I'm sure it was top tier and tasty. Overall, we would highly recommend Katsin if you are out for a good time! We went here to celebrate my cousins birthday. There was a lot of hype about this place and we wanted to give it a try. The place is set under an apartment building and is nicely designed inside. The valet is on the side street so you have to walk around the short block to enter the restaurant. As we entered the restaurant there was an armed security guard which was interesting. Made me think if we need to be concerned or if it was required in this area. We were seated in a corner up against the wall near the restroom and seamed a big hidden. That said we were hungry and ordered almost everything on the menu since we were a large group. Sad to say the food was disappointing. We were hoping for some traditional flavors and the dishes were not that at all. The best thing on the menu was the red caviar. As we moved to the desert, we decided to get the desert tower as we were a big group and wanted the birthday to shine. That said, it was so disappointing that nothing on that tower was any good. For $150 you got like 6-8 small desert pieces that were disappointing. Glendale has one of the best pasteries so this was so surprising. I hope they change the pastry selections and food menu. The fun part to the night was the music but it was very short: after a fun 30 minutes of dancing music the music was turned down to slow songs. It was a buzz kill. Sadly, I would not go back. Grade A (90): Started with Heirloom tomato salad was ok, the truffle oil was just too heavy for me, I will skip it next time. The Mozzarella Avocado was an Excellent combination, specially the pine nuts on top complemented the pesto which has pine nuts in it, and the generous helping of Avocado, this is enough to share with a few people. Filet Mignon, some people want to ruin it by having it butterflied and well done (don't eat steak if you can't have medium!), the New York Steak was very good with medium temperature. The crust was a bit leathery, almost seemed like oil was used instead of butter, but the overall taste was excellent. New York steak is hard to get right but when it is, it's the best tasting steak. Katsin has to be one of the greatest experiences I've had locally. Completely reminded me of a European restaurant, and I absolutely loved it. We went with a group of 7 for a celebration, and we had a blast. The food was amazing, the service was beyond excellent, and the entertainment was unimaginable. There was live music, the servers were a part of the entertainment as they had choreographed dances they would perform together with the singers performance and more! Our server, Frobel, was amazing!
