My family and I came for breakfast. My food was good. My daughters ordered pancakes and they ate them up. I tried them, I felt like they were really dense. What a cute little diner! It was once an old house and they turned into a diner. They serve breakfast all day and while they serve other meals every single person that was eating inside was eating breakfast even though it was lunch time when we went. Their menu is great they have all the basics from chicken fingers to omelettes to burgers. We were approached fast by our server however we never got waters brought to us. The prices were really good some of their "dinners" were $9 for example the chicken finger dinner that included a salad and 2 sides with it. That's a heck of a deal! I ordered the eggs, toast and hash browns all for $5. The eggs were so good and fluffy my mom and i both noticed that something about their eggs were really fresh and fluffy. I devoured their hash browns because they weren't burnt to a crisp nor were they weren't so soft they're mushy i feel like this place has it down to perfection! I ordered a half sweet half unsweetened tea it was great not too sweet like most places but we weren't ever offered refills or a to go cup. Where i sat i could see the girls working in the kitchen and they all wore gloves. Everything just seemed really clean and organized inside plus we didn't have to wait long for our meal. Finally a. Re favorite spot in Guthrie! If it looks like a long wait don't worry, they are fast and worth it. Walking through the door smells of heaven. It reminded me of grandmas house on Pancake day. They had incredible fluffy biscuits with homemade gravy. I also had a deep fried chicken fry and it was not too greasy and was super flakey! There for lunch on a weekday on my way up I-35. Staff were very friendly and attentive. That place was hopping! People seemed happy to be there, chatting with other customers. Especially if you like country gravy The scrambler was a flaky biscuit, a scrambled egg, AMAZING bacon, and cheddar cheese covered in gravy with a side of hash browns, crispy on the outside and billowy on the inside. The only thing keeping this place from being 5/5 is the cleanliness. I happened to be in Guthrie this morning and stopped in for breakfast. The food and service were perfect. My eggs were perfectly scrambled, light and fluffy, as well as properly seasoned. The sausage was properly cooked-done all the way through yet still juicy- and even the toast was beautifully golden brown. My server was pleasant, attentive, and on the spot with coffee refills. Katie is a nice little spot in Guthrie to get a good home cooked feeling in a nice small atmosphere. The dining area isn't very big and can get busy quick, so know when to come and when not too. I ordered the steak and mashed potatoes last time I was here. Came with a salad and two slices of bread as well. Like I said, don't expect 5 star quality, bc that's not what this is about.
