Kasey's on the Delaware provides a nice location for a meal with decent food and friendly service. We were driving along the Delaware River and passed by Kasey's and decided to grab a bite. Kasey's is not exactly on the Delaware River, but offers a quaint location for a quick lunch stop. (The Delaware River is across the street). There is indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered an omelette, The O'Brien" and the Chicken Fajita wrap. Both items were good. It was similar to what you would get in a diner; homestyle cooking. Dined here this past weekend after finding their high rating on Yelp. We were camping in the general vicinity which is very rural, so the pickings were slim. With two children in tow, myself on a diet, and hubby with a very healthy appetite we needed someplace that appealed to all of us. After reading the reviews I thought this was a good choice. Pulling up I was impressed by their outdoor dining area which at first glance was reminiscent of a secret garden. Upon further inspection it wasn't as clean and tidy as my first impression. Ultimately we decided to dine inside. Immediately upon entry you're in some sort of lobby/reception/prep area. There were baked goods packaged for sale, as well as food to go. Nothing was priced. Hubby grabbed one of the coffee cakes as we were lead to our table and immediately told the server to add it to our bill. At this time we had no idea how much it was. Once inside the decor was a mix of several styles and felt disjointed. There were Asian screens separating the tables, a rustic floor, tribal art painted on the ceiling, and rustic wooden beams. The bathroom was frilly and of a dated Victorian style like it was last redone in the 80's. It also didn't feel clean. Our table was sticky and we had a clear view of a waitress station and all the dirt and grime on the wall behind it which was inches from our table. The menu was a little disappointing. For family dining they didn't have a kids menu but said they "can make them something" that was similar to a kids meal which included a side and drink. However the price was never mentioned until I asked and I was still left with the feeling that I didn't know for sure what they were getting. In the end I ordered a chicken finger meal with two sides for them to split. It also came with cranberry sauce on a lettuce leaf which was a strange pairing. Hubby ordered a burger and fries, and myself meatloaf and two sides. The only vegetable beside potato that was offered was carrots which I got for the kids. Two of the meals also came with soup which we had packaged to go, and still haven't ate. Hubby was fine with his burger and fries, and some of my homemade mac and cheese, which admittingly was delicious. The kids chicken fingers were overcooked and very dark. Neither wanted to eat them. The carrots were old and not cooked enough. When I separated them for the two kids they had a slimy film, so they didn't eat them. My meatloaf was dry and dense, like eating a big brick. I'm not sure what meat it was but it had the color of ground chicken. A sauce or some moisture would have went a long way here, however the gravy was so full of pepper it was basically inedible. Hubby didn't like his coffee cake which was dry and he said tasted old. Imagine my surprise when the bill came and we found out that coffee cake was $5! Overall our bill was close to $50 and three of us were very dissatisfied with our meals and had to eat something else at the campground. They even charge for water! Our server was nice, and tolerated hubby's odd sense of humor but really didn't check back. The cashier was fully aware of our feelings about our meals and asked for complete honesty. She got it but did nothing to remedy the situation. A discount would have been nice or at least offered us a snack or something to go. I'm still growling over the price of this meal, which in thinking back I'm being pretty mild with this review, as it was rather disgusting. I wouldn't recommend or go here again which is a shame too because the location is beautiful! read more

Kasey's changed ownership in 2021. I haven't been there since that, but heard from friends that it wasn't as good after the change. Maybe it was the difficulty of starting anew. Hopefully it'll get better. read more

We had a very nice lunch today on the outdoor patio which was very comfortable despite the temp in the mid 80s. The restaurant is not on the river (despite the name). I had the Chicken Supreme sandwich on a very fresh roll which had plenty of bacon and a chicken cutlet that was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Delicious! BF had a burger with sautéed mushrooms and onions that was very good despite being cooked a little more than medium rare. Fries were hot and crispy. Inside the bar was covered with baked goods - pies, cakes, scones, cupcakes... that looked great. We were already full so did not indulge. We would return when on a drive down the Delaware. read more

Whilst driving along the Delaware we came across Kasey's. Ate outside in the garden area which was nicely shaded. The burgers we ordered appeared to be homemade and delicious. (They were too large to eat even half!) Burger Platter came with a pickle spear and quartered whole potatoes. Purchased a home Baker chocolate chip cookie on the way out. Not fine dining but a good little place to eat! Prices were very reasonable, too! Bathrooms were dated but clean. read more

Vastly exceeded expectations for our first visit. It's a little funky- definitely not a chain or copycat kind of place. But the service was genuine and engaging and the food was really well done. Wednesday is Italian night, and I had a meatball parm hoagie that was a special. The portion was very generous for the price, with well-seasoned and well-cooked meatballs nestled into an appropriate amount of marinara, mozzarella and parsley on a really good roll. The bread was crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside but not soft enough to succumb to the filling. It had to be close to a foot long, for $7.95. The fried flounder sandwich was also good-the fish well cooked with a crisp exterior and moist center. Highlight of the meal, though, was the cherry pie and rice pudding-both were outstanding. We'll go back to try the entrees, maybe on Thursday for the steak night. We sat outside in the shady patio which was surprisingly comfortable and bug-free on an 86 degree day. I had a very different experience from a previous reviewer, and wanted to mention it. We found the waitstaff friendly and helpful. We did have a bit of a wait, but didn't feel forgotten. There was a huge arts festival down the road that day and Kasey's was really busy, even at 3:00pm. On to the food: I had breakfast (they serve breakfast any time) - a mushroom and cheese omelet, with freshly cooked potatoes - quite tasty; my friend had a junior turkey club with fries. Prices were very reasonable and our meals were fresh. But my favorites were the baked goods we took home! As we arrived we saw an assortment of baked goods on a table. I checked them out while we ate our meal and found some handsome cupcakes and brownies that looked amazing. I took two cupcakes and one cream cheese brownie home and they proved to be every bit as good as they looked. Extra moist cake and a creamy whipped frosting. The cupcake flavors I tried were Tres Leches, which is normally a cake soaked in milk that is heavenly. Somehow they managed it in a cupcake! The other cupcake was coconut, and had a moist, creamy center with perfectly baked cake around it. Outstanding. read more

The food was amazing!!! I had the land and sea, delmonico cooked medium rare and it was perfect!!! The meat had great flavor and you could taste the quality of the meat was good. The outside was perfectly seared and had the perfect grilled flavor balancing the meat. The crabcake that came with it was full of crab and flavor!! The Mac and cheese was ooey gooey and so tasty. I can't tell you how my loaded mashed potatoes were because by now I was stuffed!! So I boxed up my food and took home a slice of peanut butter chocolate something or other pie. Agree with others that it doesn't look like much from the road but the lot was packed and the family was "hangry" so we we decided to stop in. And so glad we did! So so place, oil and vinegars could use a wipe down , so what else isn't clean? Crab cake had more filler than crab, crisp was made with 75 percent sugar and 25 percent fruit. We eat at Kaseys for lunch today. First, the service was great and the people working there met you with a smile. We eat indoors which was a treat. Chef salad was huge and full of fresh meats and cheeses. Two had the Kasey sandwich with fries. Fries were well seasoned and delicious. Another person tried the Mexican Lasagna and cheese quesadilla. It was sooooo good. We ended by splitting lemon meringue pie. Very good. Large portions. Great prices. Nice ride along the Delaware River. read more

First time visiting this restaurant based on a family members recommendation. Upon arrival our experience was solid. From the simple parking lot to the detailed interior, this place has a lot to offer. You get a decent portion size of food for you money. The service is decent and the people are friendly. Very poor service, had to flag down the waitress for water and a cup of coffee, waitress rude and very rushed and confused with the order. Ordered Sirloin steak medium rare, served some sort of Swiss steak looking thing, well done. I advised waitress and she took back to kitchen and a few minutes later I was served my order, rare. Salad was lettuce only, nothing on it..no tomato/cucumber/carrots, etc. Coconut shrimp appetizers went from 5 pieces to 4 pieces of shrimp. 3rd time I was there, 3 times a fail. Never going back.
