    Reuben sandwich is amazing!
    Jane L.

Great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Their Reuben sandwich is popular because it is melt in your mouth delicious!! My Mom loved the huge turkey club with curly fries. (She took half of the sandwich home.) One if the best restaurants in the area. Their eggs Benedict is super good too.

SOS, french toast, coffee, eggs benedict

The Cons: The service was horrific. If we hadn't already purchased tickets (no refunds...) We would have been long gone from there. The owner is totally missing the boat here. Granted the place is in the middle of nowhere but it's got SO much potential. We went for a music event (outside - Artie's "Summer Stage"). While we waited at the inside bar for the event to start (45 minutes late) we tried to get drinks, but couldn't get a drink to save our lives. The place was half empty, and there were two bartenders but they completely ignored us. Like puposely and specifically didn't make eye contact. We waited at the bar for 10-15 minutes without a drink while the bartenders chatted with (I'm asumming) the local regulars, cleaned and checked their phones. Crazy. Once outside the seating (iron tables and chairs) were pretty rusty and really hard. The outside was generally a little rundown, though the stage and the sound system were newer and nice. The outside bartender was more attentive, but the servcie was still bad. BAD bad. Only one bartender at the outside bar was simply not enough. And she had to keep going inside to get supplies, drinks, etc. So if you ordered a wine (my wife...) the bartender would dissapear inside for like five minutes, then come back with a glass of wine. There was a single waitress outside for about 20 tables - drinks and food - also not enough. We easily would have had 2x the drinks and food we had if the service was better. Also we got the same round of drinks each time, but were charged different amounts each round. Random amounts. Not sure I would go back unless it was an event i REALLY wanted to see. I would definitely eat first and not plan on drinking, The experience was was frustrating. Such a shame, this really could be an awesome place.

I was very impressed by the way we were greeted by Noelle at the door. A little bit of history of the renovated barn turned into a cozy, well-appointed Stockton area BYOB, some smiling chat and then we were off to our table to what we were looking forward to since we made our reservation. I love the idea of the prix fixe menu with a well-rounded selection (fish, seafood, meat, and vegan choices, etc.) Apps The potato soup had a nice smooth consistency, full pieces of lobster meat, a touch of truffle. 4 stars The tuna tartare was fresh but seriously underwhelming. Not much flavor nor pizazz there. I wish I got something else. 2 stars Entrees The seafood ramen noodle thingy, explained to us that it was a newer item in the menu and very popular was the highlight of my evening. The stock is everything in ramen dishes and this was no exception. Excellent lobster stock and perfectly prepared shrimp, cooked to a snap when bitten into. The marinated egg was very different and very good. It had a nice strong tingling taste. 5 stars The braised short rib was tender but dry. However, when mixed with the au jus and pureed carrots on the plate, it livened and juiced the meat up. The roasted broccolini was inedible. Totally undercooked, chewy and a waste of a fine veg. 3 stars Dessert The peach and biscuit napolean presented itself fantastically, was looking forward to the first bite out of this jar of delight and then fell flat. The peaches were hard and tasted like unripen fruit. The honey and syrup and the sweetness of the whipped cream was all one can taste. Very disappointed and a waste of calories. 2 stars Service Hostess 5 stars, wait people 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars, or perfect, if we didn't have to wait 25 minutes for our dessert which was ordered pre-dinner. It's not like it had to be baked fresh, I didn't think. Maybe they had to whip up and bake the biscuits. And also, this was the type of place where you have to chase down your server to get your check and then once again chase them down to take your card. Now, would I go back? If I was in the area, maybe. Some of the other apps and entrees I saw being served looked very interesting. But that was the main problem I had here. Presentation was creative and art-like but some dishes ended up not living up to the vision.

We both had some delicious cocktails, recommended by our amazing waitress and then shared the fresh strawberry salad with burrata which rivaled any five -star salad I've had in Nee York!!! My daughter is gluten-sensitive so she had their gluten pizza with chicken which she said was awesome! I had one of the daily specials, a chicken parm upside down pizza. When it arrived, I questioned if it was the small as it was that big--and tasty! So, to wrap it up, even if it's by an accident , make sure to check out The Little York; we're so glad we did! I grew up down the road in Milford, and our go-to restaurant in Frenchtown was always Napoli by the park, but I'm pretty sure we ended up here once or twice. Honestly? Wasn't the best on our most recent visit, and the sky-high reviews might be the result of an inflated tourist bump. I came here yesterday for lunch with one of my OG chums around 1:30, 2pmish. Despite it being a pretty meh weather day, the town was packed and loud, likely at least partially because Bastille Day was the next day (aka today as I'm writing this) - lot of French flags and perhaps a few more tourists than usual. Frenchtown is always pretty touristy on a summer Saturday though, to be fair. We chose Frenchtown Cafe because Piazzi next door was closed; and for me at least, it was nice to get some indoor seating away from the humidity and the high-decibel concert across the street. My first impressions, which were substantiated throughout our meal, was that there were a few too many tables packed into the restaurant, which I always consider a shameless money grab, especially if it's coming at the expense of the comfort of your customers. If it wasn't NYC-level/bumping up against your neighbor, it was close. And any time you happened to stand up, you had to be very careful/cognizant of your surroundings because more than likely, an employee or other customer was right behind you. In hindsight, would have advocated for the outdoor seating. I wasn't in the mood for a sandwich/melt, so I went with a plain hamburger and fries. Eh. The burger was clearly pre-made/frozen meat, and it was SUPER greasy. My chum got a melt, which was also dripping with grease. Hard to find selling points in your entrees when your paws are covered in a substance that's going to literally congeal into lard at some point if you don't clean them. Hard to pivot, but beyond that, the burger was at least cooked to my specifications (medium rare). The fries were by far the biggest selling point - perfectly crispy, just the way I like it. The service was just okay. Our waitress seemed very nice but wasn't the most attentive and beyond getting the check, never checked in to see how the food was. It WAS busy in there, but the waits for everything were a bit longer than they should have been. I doubt I'll be back any time soon, though I recall a lot of people coming here more for breakfast - that's probably the play if you're set on frequenting what was for us a mediocre establishment.
