I was there on 1/17/26 and it was very cold…read more I'd like to start with the fact that I live in CA and the car I brought in was not mine and I travel back and forth assisting an elderly person who has no one in Texas. I researched many places prior to locating this business and bring a female myself, when I saw the name Marisol, in so many reviews, I decided to drive an extra 5 miles passing up many business to reach this place. It was an extremely cold day as well. The parking is tricky and if you park, make sure you communicate your place in line. Others stay in their cars in a makeshift line, so make sure whoever is conducting the inspections your spot. I chose to park because I didn't want to block the persons car from having the ability to back out, who was getting the inspection. Well my inspector was a person named Grace. She said that I could sit in my car to stay warm, but I elected to sit in the cold garage by a space heater so she wouldn't have to come find me when it was my turn. I enjoyed watching her and how effective she was and the way she communicated with others during their servicing. I learned a few things. Grace was detailed with explaining things to me. I knew there was a $2 charge when using a card due to my research. However, she informed me of the places nearby in grocery stores that I could stop out to obtain a sticker. She noticed that I had the registration paperwork. I had no clue. She made my day much easier!!! I looked up the official locations and was dreading getting into those lines. I more than recommend this establishment. Ignore the reviews about a used car lot. When pulling up, my brain assumed it was a business next door who took up space. I kept them in mind thinking that I'd research them too, to see if they are a different type of car service.

I headed over on a weekday after work (no appointment). The inspection was able to be done immediately, no waiting required. The staff member helping me was super friendly and efficient. There are plenty of chairs inside the garage to sit on while they do the inspection, while you watch. By the time she was done, the "pass" information was already sent electronically to the state. I was able to successfully renew my registration online later the same day. They accept credit cards. My texted receipt link came through in Spanish, but that's not a problem for me in any way. I would return here for my next inspection. Just don't forget to bring your proof of auto insurance because they need that information before they begin testing!

He told me nothing was needed and to just let him do whatever was required. The inspection was completed before he ever told me the price. Then he tells me it's $60. $60?! I've never paid anywhere close to that for a state inspection. Afterward, I called several other inspection stations, and every one I spoke with told me they charge $18.50 for a Texas state inspection. Had he told me upfront that the inspection would cost $60, I would have gone somewhere else immediately. During the inspection, he also told me I needed new wiper blades and that my license plate light was out. He quoted me $45 for the wiper blades, but after I questioned the total, they suddenly became $40 as a "discount," bringing my total to $100 in cash. He then told me his computer system was down, so I had to pay cash. When I questioned everything, he told me I couldn't leave because the job had already been completed. After reading other reviews, I noticed several people said they were also told their license plate light was out. He responded to those reviews denying those claims, but that is exactly what happened to me, which makes me question whether this is a pattern. I'm beyond angry and feel completely taken advantage of. I'll be reporting this to the appropriate agencies because no customer should be put in this position. If you go here, ask for every price upfront before he touches your vehicle.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this shop. I paid approximately $800 for service…read morethat included front brakes and rotors, rear brakes, an oil change, and an inspection. After leaving the shop, I discovered that my front left wheel had not been properly secured and the lug nuts were loose. This is not a minor oversight ! It is a serious safety issue. An unsecured wheel could have resulted in a wheel coming off while I was driving, potentially causing an accident, injury to me, or injury to someone else on the road. When a customer pays a professional repair shop to service their vehicle, there is a reasonable expectation that the vehicle will be returned in safe operating condition. Properly tightening and securing a wheel after brake service is one of the most basic and critical steps of the job. I paid $800 expecting professional workmanship and, most importantly, a safe vehicle. Instead, I was placed in a potentially dangerous situation because of something that should have been checked before my vehicle ever left the shop. They did send a tech out to me to fix the issue. However, it's unknown if there is internal damage to the tire since it was loose. I cannot recommend this business based on my experience. I strongly encourage management to review its quality-control procedures so another customer does not experience the same potentially dangerous mistake.
