I brought my truck into Texas last year and got it inspected at a reputable place and it passed. I take it to this place and they fail me because they say my tint is too dark in the front window. I already had it tested last year and it passed so I don't know how these people decided that it was too dark. I suppose it's possible that the last company made a mistake, and it is such a small percentage of difference that it's almost unbelievable that they would fail me for it. So good for you that you followed the rule to the percentage, I definitely won't use you again. read more

On August 21, 2023, I visited the store at Legacy and Coit in Plano. The employee stated I needed new wiper blades and he could replace them for $30.00. I told him they were replaced four months prior, on April 23, 2023 and I had a receipt of proof. He said he would not pass my car without new blades. He advised me that he could replace them immediately or I could go them replaced and come back...either way I had to pay for the inspection now. I paid for the new blades, so I could be done with it and be on my way. He was a grumpy guy and I feel he was merely trying to upsale parts (which he did!). Not much to say about this place. It's straight forward state inspections only. A few chairs and a TV inside to keep you entertained. The employees are friendly enough,but what really matters is they don't try to sell you anything else and they usually get you in and out in 20 minutes or less. What more could you want? I've been getting my inspections done here the last 3 years and I'll continue to do so. read more

Quick Quick Quick...that is the benefit here. Inspections is all they do so you also don't need to worry about them suggesting bogus fixes. The waiting room is bare bones, with a 19 inch TV, but hey, you're not there too long so it is not a problem. The crew is friendly and explains things clearly. What else would you want?!?! read more

Been using this place for most inspections since they opened - which was probably 10 years ago? Probably a lot longer, actually; I've lived in this area off and on for 15 years. It's in an old Chevron. They inspect your car, they slap a new sticker on it. They're honest, and while I've never had a car failed by them, I've heard them talking to people who have had their cars fail, and giving honest advice in simple terms about why their car failed, and what *probably* needs to be done to make it pass. No selling, no repairwork offered, just "this is why it failed, take this sheet to your regular mechanic, come back and we'll re-test it for free if it's within 10 days". The only other place I've had the same experience with has been Maso's Texaco in far north Dallas, which actually does run a shop on site (Maso's was who I usually used for inspections when I lived in that area). read more

I really like this place. Been using it for several years. I really want a place that doesn't have anything to sell because I don't feel scammed. Even though this last time, I had to come back after something was repaired. It's still just a) go in, b) leave and the time between a & b has never been more than 15-20 minutes. This time, well, I should say the last 2 times for the same sticker, I didn't have time to get all my emails checked and certainly no time to play a game or 2. They are not overly friendly but then, they are there to do a job.. and they do it. Very polite too. read more

This is my first time visiting this station and the signs are rather small and bleak in regards to how to pull into the station. As I entered the station, the employee (this is Monday, Sept 19 @ 12:30 p.m.) did not bother to greet or introduce himself. However, he did inform me immediately that "for future references, I need to pull up all the way." Again, the signs outside were not clear as to how far I needed to pull up. Since I am on my lunch break doing this, I asked him how long is the wait. He replied, "10 minutes." I needed clarification so I asked "for the inspection to get done also?" The employee then replied very sarcastically, "from this moment it is 10 minute, no more no less." I absolutely do not believe it was necessary for him to be so rude and condescending towards a customer. Therefore, as opposed to giving my business to this establishment, I am choosing to use another company that has better customer service, even if I have to wait longer for service. I work with a huge group in the area, and I will be sure to dissuade any coworkers from going there to get their inspections done read more

What a waste of my time! Came here to get my car inspected. Got here early (7:45am) because I figured there'd be a bit of a wait. It's currently 8:30am and there are no employees here and the store isn't open. Have watched several other customers come and go. The sign out front says open 8am. Disappointed. read more

This is not only one of the most unhelpful places ever but they also told me to fix things on my vehicle that clearly fall in the PASS category. Don't go spending lots of money to fix all the problems they say you have. Find someone who knows the laws and will help you instead of pointing you to the next person! They told me when the parking break is down that they have to rev the engine up to 1000rpm and it can't move. FALSE! Moving on. Also, they have one nice customer service guy. Never again after witnessing a couple who were being harassed by one young employee - the kid looked tall, skinny, kinda methed-out - he kept talking/yelling over them and fidgety. One other customer witness called Plano PD. I hope the couple filed charges as he was verbally assaulting them, called the woman a B**** and groped his genitals yelling at her. I think she took his photo. The woman was crying. Sadly, I had to leave before the police arrived - I wish I could have stayed to help. I'm definitely never patronizing this pathetic place again - so sad that one idiot ruins the company's reputation. read more

I recently purchased a home in the neighborhood and thought I would use someone local to get my state inspection. I work in the sales and understand what service is supposed to look like. I would say the staff is a detriment to the future of Inspections Only. Without going into a long explanation, I was spoken to in a condescending way and was laughed at twice. Not really the type of experience you want in your local neighborhood. I would highly recommend Care Care Central (7013 Alma Dr, Plano, TX 75025) just down the road. I always have a wonderful experience there. The staff seems to love what they do and care about their patrons. read more

Dishonest place, will failed your car inspection for stupid reason (windshield wipers need to replace and they will offer to sell new ones there for you ). I thought my windshield wipers were still good but agreed to buy new ones for 22.99 plus my inspection fee 25.50. After 15 minutes of trying to replace it but he couldn't do it because his windshields wiper were not matching my car, he putted my old one back and told me that I have to get new ones at the dealer and bring the car back for inspection within 14 days. He charged me 25.50 for inspection, I drove my car to different place for inspection right after I left there and it passed which it meant he was lied to me because I didn't even replace new ones. I have two cars and always go here for inspection because they are very professional and quick, usually wait about 15 minutes to finish. As the store name says, they do only inspection.
