I came to Karma Cream after a trail walk with a friend and she suggested we stop here, and I'm so glad we did. I've only ever come for the ice cream before, but this time I tried the ceremonial matcha with oat milk and the Turkey Pesto Sandwich, and wow... I was genuinely impressed. I'm not vegan by any means, but I didn't miss the "real" turkey at all, which completely caught me by surprise. The sandwich was exactly what I was craving: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Seitan Turkey, vegan provolone, cilantro walnut pesto, tomato, lettuce, and mayo on multigrain bread came together beautifully. The bread was soft but nicely toasted, and every bite was and satisfying. The matcha was smooth, earthy, and delicious one of the best I've had in Gainesville. Even though the place was packed, the staff was quick, kind, and on top of everything. Overall, such a great experience. I'll definitely be coming back for more than just ice cream from now on.

The monkey bread was INSANE the matcha was okay, I think I'd have enjoyed it more without rose syrup. The chickpea salad was okay, more from a subjective perspective because I'm not vegan and my tastebuds were prepping for a chicken salad sandwich with each bite. Granted, I was trying something new with the matcha and the sandwich, so nothing inherently wrong on their end, just not a fan. Notwithstanding, all of the ingredients tasted fresh, which was a bonus. The monkey bread is really why the rating is on the higher side with consideration to the other 2/3 of my meal not being my favorite. My boyfriend would have gotten 2 or 3 more monkey breads if we had known it was so good from the get go

It was so good...I forgot to take a picture!!

Even though it was a busy game-day Saturday, we got out food quickly and were able to sit street-side to enjoy our dessert. People milling about, conversations about school, work and vacations darted past our ears, as we decided how to reward ourselves. Wait, they serve sandwiches too?!? The menu on the wall read like a small bistro, but we were here for sweets! The names of the ice creams are off to the left, even though you order near the cash register. Take a peek to save time! There are cookies and smores and more to choose from. I got the blackberry chunk (you can get 1-3 scoops), and it was worth it! My friend got a chocolate chip cookie and another German type of cookie, and we both went outside to talk and enjoy treats! Kinda of a small place with big tastes!!

One of my favorite stops whenever I am in Gainesville. I love all of their drinks, but I am obsessed with their matcha lattes. Perfect amount of sweet with high quality matcha. I also love their dessert/pastry options (they change) & their assortment of ice creams. All of their sandwhiches are vegan/organic, and they even have vegan ice cream! I am personally not vegan, and I have loved everything I have tried. My favorite is their grilled cheese! Food and drink aside, it's also an adorable coffee shop with lots of indoor and a few small outdoor tables (if the weather is nice). I like to go and study/read, but keep in mind that there aren't outlets at every table. The parking can also be rough, but you can pay to parallel park or wait for after 4/5 pm when you don't need a neighborhood decal. So much love for Karma Cream!

Prior to working in the area I had only been here for ice cream and coffee and it was wonderful. The food is delicious! Sandwiches are made to order, vegan and extremely fresh and they offer a gluten-free bread and a gluten-free wrap if you want to mix things up. The only thing is it takes a long time to get a sandwich as they are made fresh so you can't just come in quickly and expect to get served quickly. Amazing pastries -- unusual and thoughtful flavors. All the lattes, teas and coffee drinks are delicious. Sign up for rewards to offset the slightly high prices (but you get what you pay for). Also -- absolutely fantastic service! You can tell the team is proud of the quality they offer. This is a weekly fave.

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie ice cream. One scoop.

We were visiting Gainesville from Jacksonville. We were riding our Ebikes on the Gainesville 6th Street Rail Trail to Hawthorn. We rode the Karma Cream on the way back and looked at each other and said "yes to ice cream". * My wife got the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie ice cream. She said it was good. * I got the Birthday Cake Milkshake. It was good. Service was friendly. Shop was clean and very busy! We ate outside at the patio chairs. Definitely recommend Karma Cream.

Awesome place and so many vegan options! I was amazed by how much of their offerings were vegan or could be made vegan. They have ice cream, baked goods and lots of drinks! We got a cookie sandwich and an iced matcha latte. The cookie was delicious (and vegan!). I enjoyed the matcha latte too. It wasn't as strong of a matcha flavor as I usually like, but still super yummy! The workers were all fabulous and the cookie and drinks came out super quickly! It is close to the University of Florida so there were lots of students studying. The vibe is very chill and relaxed, and this would be a great spot to grab a bite & drink and just hang out.

Food: Decent. Vegan options all day. I'm not vegan but they were tasty. Got ice cream (strawberry cheesecake with hot fudge and bananas) and an apple turnover. Both were satisfying, but not knock your socks off. Service: Great! Kind and helpful people. Offered us a rewards card, but since we're out of town or we declined. Ambiance: it was packed, but it felt very chill. Every table was occupied, except for one table outside, which is where we sat. The street noise was kinda nice. The weather was perfect and it was actually pretty quiet in there for it to be packed. Seating is limited, but it fits the vibe. Another review given it to you Straight no chaser! Enjoy!

Clean, modern, and full of natural light!…read more Loved the atmosphere of this place. Right off UF's campus. Stopped by for a quick morning coffee and book sesh. Espresso is strong and packs a punch! A bit on the pricier side - $5.30 for a small oat milk Latté. Nevertheless this place has an amazing vibe for studying or doing work...especially in the morning when the early light pours through the many windows. Plentiful seating and outlets (great for students!) Highly recommend for any UF student needing to do work in a bright and airy environment. If you're visiting Gainesville it's a perfect spot in midtown for a coffee break or WFH session.

They also have outdoor seating on the patio out front. Concord Coffee offers a nice selection of drinks with unique syrups, etc. Although I didn't order coffee this time, I would be willing to try it in the future! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their pastry case is limited and I believe they get their baked goods from somewhere local. I wasn't sure what to get and the worker recommended any of their pastries, as opposed to their bagels, as they were delivered fresh today. I ended up ordering the cinnamon roll, she heated it up and that took about 5 minutes. The cinnamon roll itself wasn't anything super special. The dough reminded me more of that of a croissant due to its flakier consistency. The glaze on top was light and the cinnamon inside was underwhelming. I still didn't have a problem with it until I reached the center. I noticed the center wasn't fully heated up and even felt slightly cold. But my biggest issue was the fact that the dough in the center was very much raw. It was not cooked/baked through at all. Disappointing to say the least. I would not return for a pastry or baked good, as I believe you can find better ones around the area for a better price. But I would return to try the coffee. Overall, I think Concord Coffee is a super cute coffee shop located in midtown. The staff is really sweet and helpful as well. I thought the inside was clean and I appreciated the decor. With that that being said, I would stick to beverages as opposed to their food items. My cinnamon roll was anything but special, I feel like one from Publix would have left me more satisfied. By biggest issue was definitely the fact that it wasn't baked through and raw in the center. I will get around to trying their coffee at some point in the future.

I was lucky to get a spot after game day in the Swamp. Inside is very cute and definitely made for students or people who need coffee and to work on things. There is outside seating to if you're just coming to meet up with friends or just to sit for a bit while you enjoy a cup. Food: They have the Baker and Baker goodies just like other locations but also sell warm sandwiches! It is prepackaged and the baristas just heat it up. I got the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I also tried the apple fritter and it was good. I do wish I tasted more apple in it but I know Opus didn't make it so can't complain. Drinks: They have other drinks here that are def named by Gen Z folks and some millennials lol. I didn't do an actual comparison but they seemed similar to the drinks at the Opus Airstream maybe slightly different flavors. I just always get an iced latte with no flavor...very boring lol. My friend's daughter got a hot chocolate and she loved it (before spilling half of it) lol Service: Polite and quick. They thanked me for tipping them. Bless their heart. Side bar: they have wooden menus here and I got to read about how Opus came to be and it was nice to know more about the owners, especially that they came from the 3-0-5 like me!

Located right on the cusp of downtown, the cafe is a great place to relax, socialize, and study. The inside is rustic with an "old European" kind of feel. There really isn't another cafe like this in Gainesville! The service was super amiable and helpful. I specifically wanted to check out Cafe Voltaire for their crepes as I've heard so many rave reviews. And after spending this past summer in France, I feel like I am a good judge of an "authentic" crepe. I went just after they opened (8am) and it wasn't busy at all. While I wanted to try a crepe, I was told they don't start making them until 9am. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay that long on this particular morning, so I didn't get a chance to try their crepes--but I will be back to try one FOR SURE. Since I couldn't try I crepe, I ordered one of the items in their display case. They bake several other items in-house and even have home-made gelato! I opted for a piece of their bacon-Gruyère caramelized onion focaccia. She worked offered to serve it with an herbed butter and house-made pickles, so of course I opted for that! The focaccia was served heated up and was decent. I honestly thought it was a little dry and the butter lacked salt. While this wasn't a hit, the chocolate gelato I ordered to go certainly was! This truly brought me back to Europe and I will need to get some more of their gelato down the road. Overall, while I was unable to try a crepe, the item I truly wanted, I still had a good experience. The focus wasn't bad, but could have been better. But that gelato--WOW was that memorable. You really cannot find anything like this in Gainesville and it is a true gem of a cafe. It is very reminiscent of a European cafe and really look forward to returning. I will be updating this review soon with a review of some crepes and coffee too!!
