    Deep fried pork skin

We made reservations for a Saturday evening dinner to celebrate Mother's Day. The restaurant has their own parking lot to the side, although self parking spots are limited and the other handful of parking are valet. The restaurant has an upscale appearance with a casual and family friendly vibe. The staff were all very friendly and the service provided was top notched. We ordered the fried pork skin as appetizer and the han ban for two as our main entree. The food was delicious and plentiful. The meats were all flavorful and tender. The egg and soup dish were great and complimented the meats very well. We will definitely return to try out other menu options.

My partner and I reserved for the night of Valentines Day at 7PM and we were promptly seated. Keep in mind that it is Valet parking mandatory so we asked for cash breaking inside so we could tip after dinner. The interior is very pretty and clean, and makes for great ambience. There's also Korean music playing which we enjoyed. We ordered the prix fixe menu for Valentines Day at $99/person. Surprisingly it came with lots of food and we left stuffed and with some minimal leftovers. We started with a complimentary glass of champagne for both of us. For appetizers, we got the pancake flight (4 pancakes, truffle, meat, etc) and fried fish. For entrees, we were served a meat platter for 2 to share, and then each chose an additional entree (spicy octopus bibimbap and perilla oil pasta). We ended the night with a basque cheesecake. Overall my favorites were definitely the fish, the meat platter for 2, and the spicy bibimbap. The cheesecake was also creamy and a sweet way to end the night. We came knowing we'd be paying for a more fancy meal and a prix fixed for Valentines, but we left pleased at the quality overall of the food. The only things that could be improved was the service speed near the end of the meal as it was hard to get our check. (And more options for parking!) But overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would maybe come back for another occasion!

15/10. This spot is PHENOMINAL. Would definitely come back to this area just to eat at Karden. Ambiance -- definitely upscale but not so upscale that it's snobby. Very clean, comfortable seating, medium volume. Service -- very attentive! Not so much that you feel pressured to leave or order. Very precise. I asked for the sweetest cocktail on the menu, and my server came back with a specific answer. No guessing games. Food -- OUT OF THIS WORLD. Seafood Udon is a must have. The sauce is so creamy and perfect, with a slight kick! 100/10, would make an excuse to fly out her to come again.

Food 7/10 Ambiance 10/10 Service 10/10 Tips : make reservations in advance this is a "high-end " Korean cuisine restaurant, fusion with unique menu items. The "banchan", or side, dishes, were made from high-quality ingredients and the portion sizes were great. Only downside was that I thought the concept was really great, but some of the ingredients didn't really go well together. Service was great, one of the waitresses spilled some of our wine and gave us a free beer! Also, a unique concept of combining French cuisine/western foods with Korean cuisine, definitely a great way to introduce Korean food to foreigners.

Karden is a modern Korean restaurant that has a bit of everything but with a very modern upscale spacious look. But don't let the decor fool you thinking it is only about fining dining. They have quite a bit of everything from traditional comfort Korean dishes to trendy dishes. It's a good experience for the uninitiated into Korean food in a very nice looking restaurant. The food is on the pricier side but the value is there with the service and decor. If you are on a date then picking the combo package per person is the way to take out the guesswork and have a bit of everything. Cocktails are very nice, Asian infused cocktail drinks.

Delivered order. First time trying this place... I wanted to eat as healthy as I can with no spicy things because I had an issue with the stomach before a medical procedure 2 weeks ago; I'm recovering . I love spicy food but , for now I can't. This plate was exactly what I was looking for!!! I think with the spicy sides or the spicy salsa ( gochujang, I guess) the bibimbap has to be impressive!!!.... Personally, I removed egg and 2 more things ( I'm not sure if were doraji and gosari ) I'm not a big fan of chewy- rare food Next time, I'll try this with Gochujang sauce and the spicy sides..... mouth watering now Thank you guys, blessings!

One of the best Korean set meals I've had. Huge selection of all your popular Korean dishes into one meal. The quality was good, sausage, Galbi, egg, soup, rice cake, shrimp were the highlights. While the menu says it's for 2, I think it's more perfect for 3. Great service and I would come back! I believe it was around $120 after tax?

    Beautiful presentation, terrible taste unfortunately.

Please save your money and don't come here. We had a bad start with the tuna tataki appetizer. The tuna was straight up FROZEN, it tastes more like ice than tuna. We sent the dish back to the kitchen, but they brought it back out and told us it was how it was supposed to taste like. I've had tuna tataki at other restaurants before and never had this experience... My husband ordered beef tartare bibimbab, and the beef was also frozen. It seems like it's the norm to serve frozen meat at this restaurant. The service and the grilled meat at the restaurant is good-ish, which is the only reason why it would deserve 1 star. For the price tag ($99/pp for a 4-course meal) and the bad experience, we would never come back here.

My first time trying modern korean cuisine. Our server is very friendly and nice. The dishes are beautifully served and it tastes great! My favorite is the cod roe cream udon! The best!

Upon entering I did NOT expect such a nice interior. I had heard it was a korean restaurant. Whenever I drove passed, the entire area always looked packed. I knew this place was popular but now I see why. Everything was beautiful. Duo set - so much foooood Pasta over stone pot Truffle potato jeon - unlike any potato jeon I've ever had This is the perfect place for groups, family, and occasions for impressing. Platings and presentations were aesetically pleasing. We must have had a little bit of almost everything. Lunch weekdays are the best deals. Parking is available in a small side lot. Love love love this place! Will be back for more!

Loved the whole experience of coming to Karden. The waitstaff was warm and accommodating - I guess they only recently opened up because they asked us for our feedback after the meal. On my reservation, I had noted we were celebrating our birthdays this week, and they came over to give us complimentary shots!! (which tasted great and fruity btw) We didn't know what to order, so our waiter recommended that we get the BBQ special for 2. False advertising because it's really for a family of 8 people, JK! We got a huge tray set between us - with assortment of 3 or 4 different meats - and surrounding the meats were different kinds of appetizers and vegetables, like steamed egg, Korean fried chicken, kimchi, kimchi soup, radish, etc! Only suggestion - definitely ask for a side of white rice :)

A beautiful restaurant serving both sophisticated fusion dishes and cozy Korean favorites. The interior is clean, minimal, and upscale. A great spot for a date night or if you are trying to impress someone! For appetizers, we tried the grilled artichoke, truffle potato jeon, and the beef tartare. The artichoke dish was a bit small, but the gochujang hummus it came with was delicious. The truffle potato jeon was light, airy, and super crispy. The truffle sauce was decadent and paired perfectly. The beef tartare was refreshing and high quality. The main entrees we tried were the yookgaejang and the bibim naengmyeon - both were cozy and good. Most entrees come with rice and 3 side dishes. They serve warm water! It was perfect for the cold weather outside. People are always cleaning up the table and serving more water.

There is a good selection of premium sakes, Japanese whiskies and craft beers, and a small menu of well-executed Japanese dishes. This is a cozy and authentic spot for a date or if you want to have sophisticated drinks. There are no cocktails per se but they do make a good highball using premium whiskey. I recommend checking this place out soon before word spreads.

Drinks were reasonably priced but the whole experience falls apart at the bar. I went here on a Thursday night, and was floored by how terrible the bartenders were. There were two of them working, and I would say the place was just minorly crowded. It literally took about 10-15 minutes for the bartender to even ask me what I wanted (A beer and a simple mixed drink). He then proceeded to walk away inbetween each step of service... giving me the beer, putting ice in my glass, pouring my liquor, and then the mixer. Then when he was done, I waited a bit longer for him to allow me to pay. I was also surrounded by a group of others who were just standing around trying to close out their tabs (a process which involves the bartender giving the card to their manager who takes it back into the kitchen to run the card... which I'm sorry but is completely inefficient and takes too long and just looks shady). I left after my second drink because I could have fermented the vodka myself before getting served a third time. It's a shame because the space is well done and the music was, in my opinion, really good.

The pasta was very creamy and enjoyed the flavor. As someone who loves steak and is picky with how I receive it, I had ordered a porterhouse Medium Rare, the first one we received was overcooked to medium well and our server second guessed me when I brought it to attention. He had to call over another worker to double check and we had to ask once again if we were able to get it redone to our liking before even getting it replaced right away. The second porterhouse we received was done correctly and was seasoned well and had enough fat to make it buttery and melty. Espresso Martini was made well and for Whiskey Sours, if you like them on the smokier side, I would recommend it. All in all, we enjoyed all the food but the only set back for us was that we had to wait a little longer for our steak which we wanted to pair with our pasta. By the time it came out correctly, our pasta was already cold.

We arrived right when they opened (perfect timing, especially with a snowstorm expected later that day), so the restaurant was still quiet. The space has a modern, upscale vibe that definitely feels suited for special occasions. It's located on a busy street, and while they do offer valet, we lucked out with free street parking since it was early. They offer a prix fixe brunch for $39 per person, which includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. It's a good way to experience the restaurant without committing to a full dinner price point--but be aware that quite a few items come with upcharges, and drinks are not included, so the bill can climb quickly. I do have a gluten allergy, and I was honestly surprised by how limited the gluten-free options were for a restaurant of this caliber. That said, I made it work: I started with a Bellini, had the sizzling slab of bacon as my appetizer, the recovery burger (no bun sub roasted potatoes as a side) as my main, and finished with the salted caramel gelato. Everything I had was enjoyable, but I would have appreciated more flexibility in the menu. The rest of the group (no dietary restrictions) had more variety to choose from and really enjoyed their meals, which is always a good sign. Service was attentive without being overbearing--likely helped by the fact that it wasn't too crowded yet--so we were able to relax and actually enjoy conversation, which made the celebration feel special. The restaurant also has a private back room that looks great for parties, plus a downstairs lounge area, which adds to its appeal as an event space. Overall, for me it's definitely more of a special occasion spot, and while the pricing is on the higher side for what you get, brunch feels like the best way to experience it. I'd come back again--but probably stick to brunch.
