Literally my favorite spot for kfood in the area. Was on vacay for a week, and couldn't stop coming here. Food was fire ! I can't stop thinking of this place. And the service was amazing. Can't wait to travel back and eat this again.

Had my fair share of experience in different pochas but I was surprised I've never heard of this place! Came here on a Tuesday night after watching a movie and we got seated right away. This spot is cute and may not seem crazy extravagant from the outside but the inside is very cozy with a soju bottle lined wall and wooden benches with each table. They had popular music and K-pop music playing so playlist was poppin! FOOD ORDERED Fried chicken with scallion salad - at first bite this was awesome! So flavorful and just crispy throughout. As the meal went on (and this goes for any dish that is super flavor heavy) you get pretty tired of the taste and it becomes too much all at once. It was just my boyfriend and I so we def got tired of the taste but this is an awesome entree to order if you're sharing multiple meals with friends throwing back some drinks. These are boneless btw! Spicy rice cake So this is what we were craving and it fulfilled our cravings! You honestly can't go wrong with this! Includes fish cakes and an egg. Rice cakes were sooo tender! I definitely want to come back with friends and order a whole bunch of meals with drinks so I will be back!

Mul galbi small ($35): doesn't come with rice. Asked for rice and they charge $2. I think it would nice if it came with rice cus it's soup with the glass noodles but still feels like you need rice. I try to eat less carbs so I didn't need the rice but my bf did. They refilled our soup with more broth! Loved that they did this! There's a lot of bean sprout and stuff so this was def a game changer and great service! I don't need all that bean sprout. The soup doesn't have that much meat and is mostly veggies. Has the beef bones in the broth and a few pieces of rice cakes. Oh and beef was slightly chewier than what I'm used to Spicy pa ddak ($27): not spicy.. comes with a secret sauce which is Mayo based. Not a huge fan of most mayo based sauces. I wish it was a dipping sauce instead cus the chicken was also soggy and not as crispy as we continued to eat it Love that they give cold boricha (barley tea)! Service is good and food is good.

First time ever at a pocha and this is by far one of the best Korean food I had. Was a busy Friday night and can't really blame for the wait considering we had a party of 7. We came at around 8pm and the owner said that's when they usually get really busy. They also kept apologizing and explaining for the long wait. The place itself looks and feels like you are in South Korea. It was like an indoor night market where they served street food. Will definitely come here again when I'm in town!

Delicious Korean food that hits the spot! Large portions! The fried chicken was phenomenal! It was boneless and topped with greens and spicy mayo! The cheese corn was so yummy and really hit the spot. The seafood pancake was alright, I've had better elsewhere! The seafood kimchi noodle and Tteok-bokki was spicy so let them know if you need it dialed down Card and cash accepted.

Favorite pocha in the area. ,Excellent service, great food especially if you were into this type of.menu from.back in the day. Really good boneless chicken feet(dakbal) and their specialty, mulgalbi goes well with any type of liquor.

Repeat customer. This place never misses!! This is a small place but there is plenty of seating. This particular night I came on a weekday and I realized that valet was not working. This was not a problem as there was plenty of parking on property but for those who know and have been here on weekends, it gets PACKED and valet comes in clutch. I came as a party of 6, we walked in and we're promptly seated. I tend to not deviate much when I come here, but I seriously should in the future. The people I came with had never been here, so I ordered for the table. I always get the cheesy corn, the fried chicken with scallion salad and this time around we also ordered porky belly with chives. I love the service here. You push a button when you need help and that's it. I personally love that. It allows for the staff to go where needed, when needed, and it allows the patrons to just enjoy their meal and their company without being interrupted. Thanks for another great night Duri Pocha!!!!

Came here on a random weekday night and this place had a decent amount of people. They took out their outdoor tents and only had indoor dining available when we were there and the tables were pretty close together. TBH, I felt a bit uneasy dining so close to others. The place was lively and had loud hip pop playing in the back. The workers were efficient. We ordered the spicy chicken with rice and cheese and that was really yummy. Overall I do think this place was great but I wished they allow outdoor dining again. We went to DanBam pocha afterwards, and had ourselves a better time

Overall: food was ok, service was not, beware of bug bites!! Set up: The restaurant has their outdoor dining set up with quite a few tables, sitting 4-6 each. A bunch of tables are near the tall grass and I noticed another group asked to move from there since the bugs were going crazy. My group even gotten bitten through our clothing last night! They have bug spray and electric zappers but doesn't seem to help much. Temperature check and mask required before entry. Valet parking on premises. Food: We got the dalkgalbi, corn cheese, potato pancakes, and samgyupsal. Everything was pretty good but nothing was superior to other Korean food I've had. Service: Pretty bad...they had three waiters who weren't paying attention to the 3 tables that had guests. They were blasting k-hiphop and jamming out to it. The music was so loud that we were just shouting at each other the whole time. Pancake wasn't even precut and they had no knives for us to cut it...?

Came pretty early with a party of 7 and got sat right away. Had really great food and staff was nice. There was cute photobooth outside where we took cute pics before we left. Overall very satisfactory experience!

Food here is really great and authentic. I loved the intimacy of the place and the many menu options for both food and drink. I wish the staff were a little friendlier but that won't deter me from coming back to be honest

We came here on a Saturday night after DanBam was too full to take any more groups. We were pleasantly surprised to hear that this place was open and close by. There was a "parking lot" out front and they also offered car service if needed. The parking lot really only fit 3 or 4 cars though so I definitely recommend the plenty of side street parking. We came here during COVID and they took all the necessary precautions. They offered outdoor seating, took temperatures upon entry, had tables 6 feet apart from each other, required masks indoors, and had hand sanitizer on the tables. We ordered a few of the items that you see below. Honestly everything we had was very authentically Korean and very good! The portions were also big enough to feed all 7 of us. We, of course, ordered a few bottles of soju and beer with our meal. Staff was incredibly friendly and food was so good and very affordable. Overall I would definitely come again if I was in the area. It was good vibes, good food, and good service. What more could you ask for? Price: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5

Finally got to try this place I heard so much about on a Christmas day with wife because it was…read morefrigid and we wanted a warm bowl of Korean "tang"(soup). Finding parking is quite challenging given the location on a busy commercial street, so make sure you can come earlier than meal time to have better luck. They have waiting seats OUTSIDE so yeah I suppose it's quite popular at times. 1. ATMOSPHERE (3/5) - This location is small and it's pretty straightforward place. But I still found it cozy, with decent amount of seating (I think it can handle 15-20 max) and little details like wall with wood ledges and coat hangers were a nice touch. Seating was comfortable, though we tied our down parkas around our waist as another party had hung theirs on our side of coat hangers. 2. FOOD (4/5) - We dove right in to try their famous gejang (~Korean raw crab "ceviche") and ordered two of their namesake gookbap (rice with soup) to see how they are. Here's how it went down. - Gejang (App, $20, 2/5) - I had a hunch that on a holiday perhaps I should not order this, but my craving for succulent crab flesh be damned, I went for it and unfortunately, the meat was not well-marinated as I had feared. Gejang is a dish that has to sit in the complex soy-based pickling liquid for some time... and if restaurant is too busy churning them out or if it's slow season they won't do this properly. It not only wasn't fully marinated, I think the marinade was off because the spiciness was way out of balance and was overpowering. Perhaps knowing that it didn't have enough time to marinade the kitchen put extra diced jalapenos to compensate? Because that's exactly what it tasted like - you can't fool me. I tried to salvage the dish by asking a confused-looking girl server for some sugar, but yeah, can't un-do the overpowered marinade with sprinkling of sugar. This was really unfortunate as I was looking forward to a good bite. - Ahjae Gookbap (Main, $18, 5/5) - Thankfully, their namesake gookbap was spot-on to salvage our dining. Generous slabs of succulent beef on the bone and off the bone was swimming in a hearty beef/bone broth that tasted clean and focused. Portion was good, and can I say their banchan of fish cake moochim & unfermented kimchi & ggakdugi(radish kimchi) simply ROCKS? That was some serious deliciousness and dare I say value at $18 at a day and age where hamburger costs over $10! You win at life by ordering this! 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Our server girl was attentive and food came out early on though later it was a bit hard to get her attention promptly. We found ourselves putting hands in the air, and wavin' like we don't care... for a little while. They provide gloves & metal bin for gejang which was a nice touch for people to keep their fingers clean. One thing I'd like to mention: Plastic cup they served water in was all chipped on the rim so we instead went and got water from their hot & cold water dispenser which had metal cups (as many korean restaurants do). I'd suggest them to replace all these old plastic cups with metal ones for health reasons. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. I'd chock up the gejang mishap to it being a holiday. I hope chef was just off with the marinade that day because I am a certified gejang pro(I catch and make my own) and that balance ain't it. But I will give it another try during warmer month and we'll definitely be back to try sooyook moochim, oyster jeon & other great soup offerings.

2nd time coming here. Small restaurant with a few tables. Thankfully when we came (Saturday…read moreevening), there was one table available and it was the same table as last time! Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

Ended up getting the pork combo for 2 ($90) and chose to get the aged pork belly, pork jowl and marinated pork short ribs. They give you a lot of banchan (side dishes) and they were good. The quality of the pork was really good as well. There was a lot of food for two people which I really appreciated. This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

The USDA Prime Rib Finger and Pork Shoulder were both delicious, but I think what makes this Korean BBQ restaurant shine is their accompaniments. His hot tip: this restaurant is BYOB, so hop into the liquor store (inside the Hmart complex) next door to grab some soju and beer before settling in for some grilled meats. There are some plated dishes on the menu but with grill covers in the middle of every table, it's clear this is a restaurant meant for Korean BBQ. The pork belly was incredible with decent grill-kissed char marks. The marinated beef was tasty but a little tougher than I prefer. I love all the free side dishes that came with our meat orders, especially the soybean stew and towering egg soufflé. Service is brisk and efficient..sort of. This is the sort of place where servers hover with their order pads soon after you settle down, expecting you to just know what you want. Since this is a full-service BBQ, our server came around frequently to grill, cut, or flip or meats. After all was eaten and done, it become mysteriously difficult to flag her down for our cheque. We have always enjoyed dining at Daeji Ssonday in Ridgefield, but the rude and unprofessional behavior of our waitress completely ruined our family dinner. We were seated at the table directly in front of the far back-right table (when looking from the counter). From the moment we sat down, the service was hostile: Aggressive Attitude: As soon as we sat, she demanded our order loudly. When we asked questions about the menu, she answered with visible irritation. While we were briefly discussing options with our children, she slammed her notepad onto our table with a loud "bang" and walked away, startling both us and our kids. Negligent Service: She continued to be rude throughout the meal, literally tossing side dishes onto the table. Furthermore, the exhaust hood at our table wasn't working properly, causing the smoke from the pork belly to fill the air and make it hard to breathe. She didn't check on us until much later. Ruined Meal Flow: While we were still eating our pork belly, she came over and--without asking--scraped all the meat onto a side plate to clear the grill for the spicy squid. We had to eat cold, greasy pork belly instead of enjoying it warm off the grill. She never even asked if we wanted fried rice afterward and ignored our table for the rest of the night. We always try to treat service staff with respect and gratitude, but this experience was unacceptable. Despite our polite demeanor, we were treated with zero professional courtesy. If the manager or owner is reading this, please look into the staff working that shift. This waitress needs serious retraining in basic customer service. It's a shame because we loved this restaurant, but after tonight, we have no desire to return.
