I brought a bent RV door hinge to be straightened. I received a call about two hours later to say it was done. I picked it up and it had been successfully repaired. When I went to pay for it I was told there was no charge for such a small job. I have seldom experienced such kindness from a business in my lifetime. I have AAA insurance and after a minor fender bender, AAA recommended a body shop in Santa Barbara. I drove all the way down there and they said they'd get back to me with an estimate in 48 hours. A week went by, two and then finally three weeks and nothing from the body shop! I figured it was time to choose my own body shop and Monte's came highly recommended. I mostly worked with Dale but all the guys at Monte's were wonderful! So friendly and on top of things. They had the estimate to my insurance the same day and got approval immediately - which was especially impressive considering claim adjuster was on vacation and they switched the file between a few different people. Dale was very thorough and even with their needing to order extra parts, I still got my car back at the time promised. My car was thoroughly cleaned and looked like new! I'm so happy with the service I received at Monte's and, although I hope not to need their services again, I'd call them again in a heartbeat. read more

Long story short, my friend and I were in Solvang on our way for some wine tasting when we got rear-ended by another car. My friends car's bumper was torn off along with a bunch if other damage. Anyways, the tow truck driver dropped us off at Montes. Everyone is super nice there. They helped my friend call her insurance and get everything situated. They explained everything to her about what was going to happen to her car and everything. Though I can't comment on the work they do, if they do half as good a job as they do taking care if their customers then I five them 5 stars. read more

I'm always dubious of reviews because I always wonder if the review was written by someone from that business to make themselves look good, but here it goes anyway.... I brought my car into Monte's after hitting a opossum going 70 mph on the highway. It tore off the entire front portion of my car, the under portion (splash guard), and wheel well (all plastic components). The insurance company claim adjuster wrote up the claim for after-market parts. Monte's was able to get the actual parts from Lexus at the same price! Ordered them on Thursday, got them on Monday, and the Car was ready on Thursday. It took all of one week! Awesome! They cleaned my car up looking better than when it went in. I had some adhesive from a sticker I pulled off of my window (not in any way associated with the accident). They cleaned that up without me asking. They went above and beyond. My car looks perfect. Impressive service and professionalism! I live in Santa Maria and work at Vandenberg AFB. When the belly of my vehicle was recently damaged on Vandenberg AFB by a defective steel ballard cover that was bent and stuck open by the vehicle in front of me, I was determined to send my car to Monte's because of the raving reviews from my Lompoc friends. The competition didn't have a great reputation regarding customer service -- and I wanted both excellent body work AND customer service. Well, my car has been in the shop for a week now and I'm to pick it up tomorrow. I have to say, the regular detailed status updates from Bonnie have been a pleasure! She even invited me over to see the lifted car last week to have all the damage explained to me. I was impressed with the facility. It was clean, uncluttered and all employees were in uniform. I was so glad when my Insurance Adjuster told me that my car would be repaired by Monte's Auto Body because they are the best Auto Body company around. They repaired another car that I had which was severely damaged and it looked like new when I got it back. I expect the same in this go around. The people who work there are just so friendly and courteous. Also, my Boss owns a number of motorcycles and he has had them do the paint work on some of the restorations because they match the paint color so well.
