Super duper happy with the quality of work for a paintless dent removal and rocker reattachment. I drove up after work one day for an estimate and Zach gladly talked me through options and gave me quotes for both a traditional dent removal and paintless dent removal. Didnt pressure me to choose one over the other, talked to me plainly and honestly and didnt make me feel dumb. I was told that paintless would probably only recover 75-85% of the dent but after they were done, it looked like 100% recovery to me! The D.E. staff made sure I was informed about all my options, and did a great job of helping me pick out the perfect color. I also had them add a protective coating to my truck bed, which is holding up well since 2018, as has the paint. I get complements on the truck wherever I go. I was impressed enough with their work and prices to bring my motorcycle parts in recently (fenders, tank, headlight cowl) to have them painted, and will post a review of that later... We had an unusual situation involving the roof of our Sprinter van, an awkward place to service, particularly because we already had installed solar panels. These folks worked hard at fixing our problem with our paint job, but could not completely resolve the problem until we removed the solar panels. In the first session before the panels came off, they did a terrific job, and had to really get creative accessing the roof. They repaired what they could reach but did not charge us much at all. Once we removed the panels, they used scaffolding to suspend the worker over the rooftop, and completed the repair work perfectly. Again they were very economical and did a superb job. We were very impressed with their dedication, determination, and customer service. read more

Dent Experts is the best body shop in the Santa Barbara area. I cannot begin to express how happy I am with Dent Experts, their technicians and in particular Kaylee, the manager of the shop. My BMW was hit in a hit and run a few months ago. I had been going back and forth with my insurance for weeks about getting the car repaired when they finally told me my car would be a total loss. I felt helpless. I love my car and the last thing I wanted to do was get rid of it or have it considered salvage. I called Dent Experts as a last chance attempt at saving my car. Thank god I did! Kaylee knew exactly what I was going through and went ABOVE AND BEYOND working with me on a estimate to fix my car at a price that would prevent it from becoming a total loss. Dealing with Dent Experts felt like I was dealing with family friends. Kaylee treated me as though I had been a costumer with them for 20+ years. I have never experienced a business with such integrity, professionalism, customer service and skill. 11/10 in every way possible. Okay here is the deal, sit back and pour a glass of wine... We have this great 2006 Honda Odyssey van with only 90K miles on it. We get hit from behind from a guy with USAA insurance. Good company right!? So...long story short, they (USAA) wanted me to go to Prestigious Auto Body in Goleta. I will write a review for them shortly (a bad one). After being lied t, and swindled I ended up going to the Dent Experts after I shared my story with others only to find out that Prestigious does this stuff all the time. I had work done there many years ago boy have things changed. All I can say is I wish I would have gone to Dent Experts from the beginning. They were the best and OMG shocker they fixed my car for $2828 when Prestigious said it was a total loss and trumped it up to over $6500 to force a total loss on me. So here is my advice. Before you take any BS settlement or deal with the lies from Prestigious Auto Body...go to the dent experts. Get your car repaired with real people here who actually care about the regular Joe and not a bunch of insurance companies looking for kick backs. Thanks for reading this! I can't recommend this place highly enough. Over the years, I've conducted business with Dent Experts a handful of times, each time leaving satisfied. While they may market themselves as a lower-cost alternative to a typical body shop, their work certainly goes unparalleled. I brought my mom's car in this week to see about getting some noticeable, deep rear bumper scrapes fixed. These scrapes had been accrued several years back so I was initially unsure about the likelihood of getting the bumper back to a like-new condition. The shop itself is in a hard-to-find portion of old town Goleta, but the employees definitely had their work cut out for them with the number of vehicles on their premises. Kaylee, the owner, conducted the free estimate for me. She was knowledgeable, professional, and recognized me from the last time I'd been in their shop which i thought was pretty cool. I was given a fair price on the spot for a few different tiers of work. Ultimately, I chose one of the quoted tiers and am glad I did. My mom's car was turned around by Dent Experts in a matter of two days. Not only does the end result appear in showroom condition, but they were also able to buff out another surface scuff free of charge. An investment well-spent for my deserving mother who will likely keep her car for several more years (it's a Honda - they last forever). I can't wait to show my mom, who is out of town and had no clue I was doing this as a Mother's Day gift. This place is terrific - a great find. I took my mom's car here to fix a badly crushed bumper on her Camry, out of pocket. After shopping around, the owner provided a very quick, no hassle estimate, but was $50 more than the least expensive estimate at the other end of the street. Of course, I took the car to the cheaper place, they called 3 days later saying there were brackets and other hardware that needed replacement, and that the price would be significantly more. I went through the hassle of taking my car back, and going back to Dent Experts. They honored the original estimate, despite the fact that the other place actually did some additional damage taking the bumper on and off (Dent Experts politely called to warn me about it). Reached out to Gregg in December sent pictures of damage, he quoted me 90% repair for $65 but that for perfect I'd need to go to collision. After trying to schedule an appointment with him for 3 hours, him looking at it and then not even talking to me but waking off, then finally coming back said "oh no I can't do that". Thank you DENT EXPERTS for being honest and reliable. I had hit a curb a little to hard when parking and it left my spoiler hanging. I went to Prestigious Auto body for a quote first. The quoted me some outrages price. $1,487 !! They told me I would need a whole new bumper and charge $90 an hour for labor. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hole. All I wanted was so the spoiler did not drag. Thankfully, a friend had recommended dent experts. They fixed it for.. wait for it.. $20!! It took less time than it took for the people at prestigious to write me up a quote. They gave me two options: replace it or fix it with a screw. I choose to fix it rather than replace it. They added a screw on the inside and it looks as good as new. They were honest and let me know the price to replace the spoiler with a new part, about $200. If I have an issues with it I'll defiantly come back to replace the part. From now on I will becoming to DENT EXPERTS for all my auto body repairs. read more

THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF. BEWARE. my friend hit a pole and got a nasty scrape on the side of my car last month. I went to them for an estimate. they estimated $950 and told me that i would have to paint not only the back bumper, but the entire car door just to make sure the color was "uniformed." Couldnt afford that, so my friend and i bought some $8 polish and managed to get most of the paint off that was left from scraping the pole. went back to Dent Experts, and the new person estimated $600. and told me i would be fine just painting the bumper. i took that deal. and 2 days later they call me complaining that i shouldnt have gotten 2 estimates, and that i was the one deceiving them. WOW. amazing how i was the one being deceitful when $8 and some elbow work knocked off $350 from my estimate. i got my car back. with only the bumper painted. and everything was completely uniformed. contrary to what the first guy told me. i can show you the receipts and pictures to prove it. AVOID THIS SHOP!!!! Poor quality and horrible time management. My advice to anyone considering Dent Experts is to look elsewhere. I took my beloved 1984 VW Westy to this shop after receiving recommendations from friends. I needed to get the rust removed from the typical places on the van. I dropped it off on a Monday and was told it would be 3-4 days until it was ready. When I called to check in they said that it would be ready for me on Friday. When I asked the manager to look for a particular part on the van she spotted a massive rust spot on the roof that the workers failed to bring to her attention. With the additional repair they assured me that I would be getting the van back my Monday. Not sure what happened but Monday turned into the following Friday and when I arrived at 5:30 on Friday afternoon they were still cleaning the van and the manner was addressing some re-wiring as I arrived and had to wait for them to finish... Not a good sign. Instead of 3-4 days the van was there for a total of 12 days. (10 business days) Certainly the van did not require 12 days of work and must have spent most of the time sitting around with no windshield in it. Upon picking up the van the manager asked me if I liked cats... Apparently there is a 'shop cat' that likes to sleep in the cars there. With no windshield in the car for almost 2 weeks my van was a prime target for the cat to sleep in it and was evident by the amount of cat hair I found inside the van. Once I got the van back I was able to look more closely at the job they did. Here is what happened: 1. There were some parts of the van that are bubbly where they repainted. Either the paint was contaminated or improperly prepped. 2. There were hundreds of rust flakes/ debris that I found under the dashboard and in various vents within the dash. These rust bits will cause rust to form in these areas over time is extremely concerning that they were that careless. 3. I looked under the windshield seal where they were supposed to remove rust and found several spots where rust was still visible. The whole point of the repair was to grind away the rust and re paint. They even failed at this. 4. I have found 2 rubber washers used to mount the roof panel to the van. These are essential to use as they prevent metal on metal contact between the mounting hardware and the body. With out these washers the metal will rub away the paint causing rust to form in these locations. The whole job cost me $1,900. This addressed the rust under the windshield, a few small rust spots at the rear of the vehicle and the larger one on the roof. For that price I would expect excellent quality. Instead I received poor service and a half-ass repair. I have notified my friends who recommended me to their shop to inform them of my experience and wanted to do the same for anyone considering working with these people. If you love your vehicle please don't take it here. read more

I used to think they were the best in town. Recently, though, they did a small job and when I got it home saw a bit on the underbelly of the car that had not been painted and still had bondo on the scratch. Took it back and they insisted that it had been re-scratched. I paid another $150 to have the scratch painted. I am not convinced and wonder if it worth $150 for them to have a disappointed and now ex customer. read more

Also, their honesty and ability to repair even rather severe dents at much lower costs than other body shops has been really amazing. I will never use anyone besides Dent Experts. Dave and his team not only do excellent work, they often have several options, depending on how much you want to spend. They work with all the insurance adjusters and are thought of highly by them. Kay Lee comes to your house to give estimates, is prompt and has a very high standard of professionalism. Recently I had my bumper fixed. I used my insurance to pay for it and it was a 3 day job. During that time, I had to be out of town. Kay Lee drove me to the SB Airport Monday, during the week Dave fixed it and they drove it back to the airport at the end of the week so I could drive my car home!
