2 large machines... only one working. I used it. Cost $9
Kamalani W.

Unfortunately our washer died yesterday and murphy's law I have (2) loads of laundry staring at me. I live fairly close to this laundromat so I decided to pack my dirty clothes in my wagon and go on an adventure. *street parking only. Be careful if you need to cross 10th Ave, cars go speeding up and down the valley. I am not familiar with laundry prices, but it seemed pricey to me... $4.50 regular load & $9 for the big washer (comforters or 2 loads of laundry in my case) There are credit card readers attached to each machine BUT they don't work. They had 1 working change maker machine that will give you quarters. So I opted to put both my loads in the large machine. Pro: took only 23 minutes Con: cost me $9. It's a clean and quaint laundromat. Machines looked old and worn down some were even inop. Sorry I didn't use the dryers... took my loads home to dry. Hope this helps.

Why do appliances always break down around the holidays?! So we can get a smokin' deal at Best Buy?! Maybe?! Though it takes several weeks to get your new appliance after purchasing. That being said here I am at Kaimuki Laundromat. My dryer went bye-bye. So this is my second visit. Haven't seen a crowd yet. Its pretty clean and it takes credit cards. I've decided to bring quarters. For a large bundle of laundry with several towels, I put in 9 quarter ($2.25 for 27 mins). Not so bad. My only small kind complaint would be the parking. There isn't a parking lot, you'll need to park on street. That can be challenging depending on the day or time.

The 2 large washers. One out of order the other busted up control panel but not noted out of service. I wouldn't trust it.

So I picked this one because it had so many great reviews and took cards. Well I really should have read the most recent ones. This place may have been good at one point, but not currently in my opinion. The credit card machines attached to each unit have been disabled and the coin machine only one of the two bill inserts was working. They have 2 large washers, but one says out of order the other the control panel is broken, so you have to use the small washers at $4.50 a load (Highway Robbery)

#grateful wow place is great. I am enjoying the time spent waiting for my laundry. Be sure to know that the card readers no longer work so they only accept cash! And if you put in a $20 bill you will get $20 worth of quarters!

Clean and cool-I think the little girl thought I was taking a pic of her! so cute her!

Year End comforter and bedding cleaning! Yups, time to lug everything to Kaimuki Laundromat and use the mega size washer to do it good! I think you should clean your heavier comforter at least once a quarter or more often if it is as cold as it has been in December! Instead of risking overloading the home washer and dryer take it to Kaimuki Laundromat - you can use coin, or credit/debit. The machines are fairly new and always clean! Best times are early in the morning to beat the rush since there are only two mega sized washers. Takes about 25 minutes for the wash and 25 minutes for the dry(use high)... I throw like towels, sheets and anything heavier in with the comforters and do two loads.... Parking is best on Kaau(west side of 10th) and just be careful when you jaywalk across to the Laundromat. It is a nice surprise for someone to come home to totally clean and soft beddings - be awesome and take a trip to Kaimuki Laundromat and facilitate that surprise for your special someone!

Small laundromat but a lot not working

Where do I start? At the beginning. So, of course I live in Kaimuki and this one is so close to me, of course I choose to do my laundry here as we don't have one of our own. Most of the dryers do NOT work! Not to mention the ones that do, charges you 2 minutes for a quarter, no matter what temperature your drying them on. 2 minutes! Not only does the dryers not work but also some of the washers. There is only 2 large washers and 1 is "out out of service" and it's been for a while. If it's not out of service then only 1 type of of temperature water you will get. To me it seems like as time goes by, more and more gets broken then instead of being fixed. I've gotten my quarters eaten many times and the button to return them won't work. Only 1 side of the coin machine works. Also the hours is an issue. It says 8:00pm but Other people who does laundry here have seen the owner (or I'm assuming it is) come at 7:30 saying they need to leave because they are closing. I can understand if there is no one there then, by all means yes close it. But with customers still inside? Like I mentioned, I live very close to it, which is why I use to go there. But at times I would see our residential Trash bins filled with their trash bags! There is no number to reach them. If you notice all signs are hand made or printed from a computer. Which means, they know they're all broken, just not giving time to fix it. It can be such a nice place. I love the location, and the feel is nice it just sucks that everything is broken and there is no intention on it being fixed. :(

As of 11/2/19 the prices have gone up again to $4.50 for a single wash. There is a better laundromat on Waialae.

I felt safe with my children and appreciate the security cameras. There are lots of helpful signage that explain house rules, how to operate machines, the cost, and how to purchase a wash card. Loved the wash card method because there's no fuss with cash/coins. Wash prices range on load size. $3.75 (1-2 loads), $5.00 (3 loads), and $10 (6 loads). The wash cycle was fairly quick, 20-22min. Dryers are .25 cents per 3min and really large. Last load is at 6pm, machines stop operating after that time. I came after 3pm on a weekday and there was ample parking and not so busy. It did pick up right before 5pm. I recommend this business and will return as needed. Mahalo!

Parking stalls indicate business you can park for, they are in in the same lot with papa John's and onoya ramen, across the backside of zippys. I went on around noon on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy. I like this place as it's convenient location, big machines that are able to do the job well - three sizes for washing machines and I think two time limits for the dryers. It's clean and well lit establishment with ample security cameras. You have to get a card through an automated machine, just put money to start with. Small washing machines are $3.75, can do 1-2 loads at a time, medium size $5, can do up to 3 loads at a time, and the large $10, can do 6 size loads at a time and I came here today to do all 7 sheets and blankets with a large dog bed all together in the large machine, prob could have added a couple more too. Washing takes about 20-25 min and dryers are 3-5 min at a time. 0.25 cents medium for 3 min and 0.50 cents large for 5 min. I think I did it 3x for the large dryer so $1.50 I would say 85 percent dry and I was fine with that I could let remaining air dry at home. Attendant was helpful, I saw him helping an elderly get started with a card and the machines. They have 1x use detergent and dryer sheets for purchase too.

Since we were here last month, there's even more machines that are inoperable…read more Been coming here since it opened and things have definitely gone downhill a lot in the last year or so. From the machines you need to load credit onto your swipe card needing 10+ attempts to read the card to the card readers on the machines themselves not working the first few times. Washers and dryers that are broken don't seem to be fixed in any timely manner anymore, (I'm talking at least a month with some, and I know it's not a parts issue...I have a friend that repairs commercial laundry equipment for a living). With the other laundromats in the area closing down, I feel like they're just letting this one go since they know people will come regardless if they NEED to use it. Really disappointing to see it getting so bad and dilapidated.

Although the transaction was confirmed on-screen and deducted from my account, the funds never appeared on my card. The attendant on duty noted my card number and advised that management would credit the balance. However, when I returned this week, the credit had not been applied. The attendant suggested a card number mismatch, but I only own the single card registered in my name. Because the initial $20 charge remains uncredited despite my follow-up, I would appreciate a prompt refund or balance adjustment. But I'm probably not going to get my desired outcome and don't want to come off rude. So.....? I won't be going back.
