Staff was so kind, machines were clean and worked great! My apartments washer went out almost a month ago and I had soooo much laundry to do. I was able to get all of my loads done in a little over an hour with their many washers and dryers. Normal loads cost $4, commercial size washer costs $8, and drying costs $1.50 for 16 minutes and it dryer so fast! read more

I live fairly close to this laundromat so I decided to pack my dirty clothes in my wagon and go on an adventure. *street parking only. Be careful if you need to cross 10th Ave, cars go speeding up and down the valley. I am not familiar with laundry prices, but it seemed pricey to me... $4.50 regular load & $9 for the big washer (comforters or 2 loads of laundry in my case) There are credit card readers attached to each machine BUT they don't work. They had 1 working change maker machine that will give you quarters. So I opted to put both my loads in the large machine. Pro: took only 23 minutes Con: cost me $9. I like the many washers and dryers at this laundromat. Washers are $4.50 for the small and $9 for the big. Dryers are big and it's .25 for 2 minutes. I paid for 20 minutes for each dryer and everything was dry in the end. I washed blankets, clothes and comforters. This laundromat is clean, music playing in the background and lots of ceiling fans to keep you cool along with cool breeze from outside. The big washer decided to break down on me mid wash. I called the number provided on the website. My call was answered quickly, someone came to meet me at the laundromat to help me fix the issue. She refunded the $9 I spent to use the big washer. She wasn't able to get the door unlocked right away. I finished my laundry and went home. The worker (I didn't catch her name ‍) kept in contact with me to ensure me that she was going to return to the laundromat to retrieve my items from the washer. Right before 6 she was able to finish the cycle the washer was on and retrieve my items. She gave me a call and apologized many times. I will continue going to this laundromat over and over again! There are only two regular size washers and neither work. This is a concern because many customers go there to wash bulky items; i.e. comforters, rugs, blankets, etc. And the rest of the washers are very small. Why do appliances always break down around the holidays?! So we can get a smokin' deal at Best Buy?! Maybe?! Though it takes several weeks to get your new appliance after purchasing. That being said here I am at Kaimuki Laundromat. My dryer went bye-bye. So this is my second visit. Haven't seen a crowd yet. Its pretty clean and it takes credit cards. I've decided to bring quarters. For a large bundle of laundry with several towels, I put in 9 quarter ($2.25 for 27 mins). Not so bad. My only small kind complaint would be the parking. There isn't a parking lot, you'll need to park on street. That can be challenging depending on the day or time. read more

what the heck happened?? I would enjoy coming here when they first opened, it was beautiful. Now The machines are old with little maintenance and I had to wash one of the loads 2x. ,it was still Soaking. The credit card scanners on all the washers and dryers seem to be permanently out of commission, almost half the washing machines are out and one machine that doesn't have a sign on, wont take coins(learned this after putting. My detergent in) Oyea did I mention it's 25 cents for TWO min now one good thing is that it's clean, and the location is safe. Hopefully this place will be up and running better, bummed! read more

Used to go to this location. Of the 8 washers, at least 2 were always out of service. Averaged 3 dryers that didn't work...for OVER A YEAR and the owner made no effort to fix them. The owner also advertised that it was open 365 days a year. Owner was conscientious about posting if it going to be closed. Unfortunately on Christmas day about 3 years ago, it was closed and no notice posted. I called and left a message for the owner but she never returned my call. On a good note, the lady who opened for the owner was always nice. We were very impressed with her. Needless to say, wetook our business elsewhere, and the owner is awesome! Year End comforter and bedding cleaning! Yups, time to lug everything to Kaimuki Laundromat and use the mega size washer to do it good! I think you should clean your heavier comforter at least once a quarter or more often if it is as cold as it has been in December! Instead of risking overloading the home washer and dryer take it to Kaimuki Laundromat - you can use coin, or credit/debit. The machines are fairly new and always clean! Best times are early in the morning to beat the rush since there are only two mega sized washers. Takes about 25 minutes for the wash and 25 minutes for the dry(use high)... I throw like towels, sheets and anything heavier in with the comforters and do two loads.... Parking is best on Kaau(west side of 10th) and just be careful when you jaywalk across to the Laundromat. It is a nice surprise for someone to come home to totally clean and soft beddings - be awesome and take a trip to Kaimuki Laundromat and facilitate that surprise for your special someone! read more

i needed to wash my comforter so to the laundromat i went! This was a quiet little spot nicely placed on the corner of the street so you really can't miss the pink exterior. When I went none of the washers seemed to be accepting card. Thankfully I had enough cash on me to use the large washer and dryer. Where do I start? At the beginning. So, of course I live in Kaimuki and this one is so close to me, of course I choose to do my laundry here as we don't have one of our own. Most of the dryers do NOT work! Not to mention the ones that do, charges you 2 minutes for a quarter, no matter what temperature your drying them on. 2 minutes! Not only does the dryers not work but also some of the washers. There is only 2 large washers and 1 is "out out of service" and it's been for a while. If it's not out of service then only 1 type of of temperature water you will get. To me it seems like as time goes by, more and more gets broken then instead of being fixed. I've gotten my quarters eaten many times and the button to return them won't work. Only 1 side of the coin machine works. Also the hours is an issue. It says 8:00pm but Other people who does laundry here have seen the owner (or I'm assuming it is) come at 7:30 saying they need to leave because they are closing. I can understand if there is no one there then, by all means yes close it. But with customers still inside? Like I mentioned, I live very close to it, which is why I use to go there. But at times I would see our residential Trash bins filled with their trash bags! There is no number to reach them. If you notice all signs are hand made or printed from a computer. Which means, they know they're all broken, just not giving time to fix it. It can be such a nice place. Facility is clean. Which is what everyone wants in a laundromat. But washers are expensive, there's only 1 working Large washer all the others are almost $5 for a "regular" load but I could barely fit a few towels and a couple sheets. I chose to come here bc I read there's card readers and that skipped me a trip to the bank. But I get here and the credit card readers don't work. So I had to leave to get cash anyway which was unfortunate. No ones here to facilitate or manage the place. Not a negative but just something to be aware of. And no AC. HIDDEN IN KAIMUKI This laundromat is hidden off the beaten path on 10th Ave and Kaau, on the right side of the street (as you go into the valley). Street parking. They sell Tide powdered soap boxes for $1.25 (quarters), and there are two sizes of washers. I used the small one $3.25 (credit card YES! quarter ok too) and it took 22 minutes to use the front loading washing machine. I took my stuff home to hang to dry. This places is open every day. They actually answer the phone. It is clean, everything works, and you can grab a bite to eat down the street while you wait. What's not to like? MON-SAT 6am to 10pm SUN 6am to 9pm read more

I used to wash laundry at the place next to Don Quijote and, maybe it's just me, but there's a lot of homeless (some of them are just straight up crazy) people who are just hanging out there, some sleeping, some drinking alcohol..but I digress. Kaimuki laundromat is scrupulously clean. I've never seen scary people hanging out there. The laundry room is breezy and there is music playing the whole time you are washing and drying. The change machine takes $1's, $5's, $10's, and $20's too! You can totally wash sheets, bl Yes, it's priced a bit higher but so worth it to relax in a clean place. Street parking's always easy on that stretch of 10th Ave which makes this laundromat convenient. I actually look forward to washing my clothes now! read more

Learning and discovering what's out there in my own neighborhood would not have been possible if it weren't for yelp. It's great to be able to see things out there that I didn't know existed and worth checking out. With that in mind, I didn't know that there was this laundromat here that's pretty close to my home. Granted that I have not personally use the facilities just yet, its nice to know that its there for me to use. I rolled past here on a recent run up and down 10th Avenue in Kaimuki. Not far from the main thoroughfare of Waialae Avenue, this small laundromat has been a local social scene for those who do laundry on a weekly basis. The parking here is sparse, so you would need to find street parking in the nearby residential neighborhood. The laundromat is small, not more than 12 or so heavy duty washers and dryers for your needs. They are the front loading types, so its nice to have them for both your tops, bottoms, accessories, and other items. Bring cash and coins, since they are coin operated. Don't be a fool like me and pretend like they accept credit cards. Nope, certainly not this one! I've seen random people hang out here for an hour or so, just doing their thing. Some of them most likely came from the public housing facilities in Palolo Valley on Ahe Street, but that remains to materialize. Most likely doing their laundry on any given night. Young kids being bored with their mothers while waiting for the wash to be done before drying them in the dryers before folding them. Sometimes, this place is cool for what services it provides to the community. Glad to see this laundromat is here so close to where I live. Just in case my own pair of washer and dryer breaks down, I can come down here and do my thing. Overall, this laundromat in the heart of Kaimuki town is a great asset to the community. The only stipulation would be that they require you to start your last wash by 8pm and the last drying cycle at 8:30pm. Kind of be on the look out for shady characters that may or may not be hanging out here on any given night. Exercise some common sense wherever possible. While its not in the vicinity of public housing facilities in Palolo Valley, its inevitably close enough to where some of the residents are using this laundromat and it can attract people. Everything is self service here, so if you do not know how to learn how to use a front loading washing machine - like how I used to - be advised to learn at a quick clip. It's a bit different from top loading that I am used to. A weird shock to me though! As always, make friends and networking is always good - even in a laundromat. Decent little laundromat that's kept relatively clean with bumpin' music, a few chairs, laundry carts, and a sink. I live close by and am without a washer/dryer so this place is my new go-to for weekly laundry runs. A regular wash is $3.75 and a dry is $0.25 per 4 minutes. If you forget your detergent you can also buy packs for $1.75. They do have a quarter machine if you have cash but the best part is they take CARD! Basically, this place is great for what it is: a laundromat. Some cons: -No parking. I walk so this is a non-issue for me, but if you have a lot of laundry try to go at an off time where you can park close. -Some of the dryers don't work! Try it out first with one 4/min cycle to check before you waste $1+ in trying to make the dryer function. -Card swiping is iffy. So it's great that they have the option at all, but it may take you several swipes to get the card to work. There's also one machine (first washer on the left from the two big center washers) where the card swiper is too close to the bigger washers and won't work. Best piece of advice is to READ all the signs before you go ahead and insert your coins/swipe your card and add your detergent. Also double check that the machine actually works. read more

Perfection!! Just a few minutes away and easy to find. This little pink laundromat on the corner in the middle of Kaimuki residential is the place to go. At first I thought oh my it's so small it'll be packed and we won't be able to was or we will be waiting long. We were in and out in 30 minuets. That's including load and unloading. It's extremely clean and neat. All the washers are side loading. There is a change machine but best of all is it takes credit or debit cards. About time I find a laundromat that takes a card. I am looking to buy a washer but it was so quick and easy that I'm actually reconsidering. Time will tell after a few more visits. I loathe laundromats due to the filth and congestion and this experience has proven to be the exact opposite. Side note. ONLY STREET PARKING. This is my second time using this place. But there are just too many stupid inconveniences that im going to start going elsewhere. I came here because it's close to where I live and the prices are somewhat ok. It's too small to the point where if there are like four people in there you are literally bumping into each other and fighting for machines. The coin machine was out both times I went. Luckily I had my own change prior. Also, this famous Erika must not tend to her shop as much as her friends on here say she does because both times there were machines out of order but there was no sign indicating such. The first time another person there told me. The second I ended up finding out after putting $3.50 in the machine and having it not respond. I had to move to a working machine and put in another $3.50. Not a big deal but machines should be marked so people aren't having to waste money and play musical machines. Anyway, not any one of these things is a big deal on its own. But all together they make it an inconvenience. When I do laundry I just want to get in and get out. This place just makes it so much more of a hassle than it needs to be. There is nothing else that ruins your day more than getting to the laundromat only to realize that you've totally forgotten any quarters, laundry detergent, or dryer sheets. Yes... I am so wife material. Luckily for me, Erica was working that day. It was my first time here and she was very gracious in compensating for my wifely shortfalls as she educated me in how much soap and which machine was best to wash a comforter. After I told her I had no soap, she gave me some of her own personal stash! Bonus! She did the adding of the soap for me and told me how to use less water and not overfill the soap. She even told me how long I should dry it for... I think she knew I wouldn't have a clue.... and she gave me some dryer sheets too! In the corner, there is a machine that will make quarters out of $1, $5, $10, or $20 bills. Thank goodness for Erica and Kaimuki Laundromat.
