Daniel texted me early this morning and went above and beyond -he actually met me on a day the shop is closed to make sure I could retrieve my dress. His professionalism, kindness, and calm demeanor truly impressed me. He never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Took two coats for dry cleaning recently. When I received them, there was a distinct chlorine like smell. Touching the coats felt slippery and made my hand itch. This didn't happen last year when I used their services. I do not recommend coming here. read more

Brought in 2 blazers that I found at Savers recently and need to have for an upcoming wedding in the fall. The standard rate is $15.00 per item (which is pretty reasonable) and the turnaround time is usually 3 days. You will be asked to pre-pay prior to dropping off the items. I hardly dry clean anything anymore but I had occasion to clean a couple of suit jackets. you definitely cannot wash those at home. I dropped off the jackets. Drop off was quick and friendly. I got a ticket and was told to pay when I pick the jackets up. I picked up the jackets a few days later and service was quick. No issues at all and the jackets are now clean! It's the same business that used to be off of ward in Kakaako. We hadn't realized they reopened until we were looking after Al Phillips stunk up the hub's shirts and saw there was another dry cleaners in the mall! Friendly service and professional and clean especially compared to Al Phillips. It's near Jejubing and challenging to find parking in that area. So the best place to park is ground level which actually feels like a scary murder basement and smells like trash. But plenty of spots and park right next to the incline escalator and maybe don't go alone. This will be our regular place from now on to get his shirts laundered. read more

Their customer service and prices are reasonable. Turn around for dry cleaning is fast. And location is conveniently in the ground floor of Ala Moana Shopping Center, makai side. HOWEVER, 2 STARS because I had a silk skirt dry cleaned and had it return with safety pins stuck through each side of it to hold it up against their disposable hangers. I have NEVER seen dry cleaned clothes poked with safety pins to the hanger. I was appalled, especially because the material is silk. Got 7 pairs of business slacks altered, brought them in and got charged extra for the special stitching on two of the slacks due to their wide-legged style. Everything else turned out fine except two, which I should've known when I went in to pick up my order. The stitching was loose and messy on the inside with extra strands and wads of string intertwined with the stitching. It has only been the second use for both slacks and it has unraveled about 90%. Don't get me wrong: the tailor/seamster was really nice, knowledgeable, and completed my huge order on time. However, for the price I paid, only for the stitching to almost completely unravel after a few uses, that was very disappointing for my first time using their services. read more

Dry cleaning needed for my coat........... I rarely have to dry clean any of my clothes (cuz I don't need to dry clean my shorts & t-shirt! Buwahahahaha), and since Caesars Cleaners is no longer in business, I found this other dry cleaning store called - "Aloha Dry Cleaners & Laundry" from looking on Yelp. :D Thanks to my Yelp buddy - Terry K., as she was the very first person who posted an awesome reviewed this place, and since then, I can see why many more folks that have reviewed this wonderful business! Easy to find, as this dry cleaner shop is located just across the street from the old First Hawaiian Bank (Ward Branch - which had recently closed up). There are a few free parking spaces in front of the shop, but if the lot is full, there is ample street parking near by. Coming there was easy, I just walked in & dropped off my coat, and the friendly clerk gave me a ticket showing the cost for the services needed for my coat, and the date on when I could pick it up again. The turn around time was pretty fast, and when I got my coat back , I must say they did a excellent job on my coat. PLEASE NOTE: Yesterday when I was picking up my coat, the friendly clerk told me that Aloha Dry Cleaners will be closing down this location at the end of June 2022. The reason why, is because the developer corporation - Howard Hughes will be knocking down the building where Aloha Dry Cleaners is located to build another one of their large scale buildings in the Kaka'ako neighborhood...... This company was an absolute life saver. I washed 3 of my favorite shirts along with two light colored t-shirts with a blue pen... one of the nice roller ball types that general bleed out for no reason anyway. 5 shirts in total, some worse than others but all generally in the ruined category. The attached photos barely show the damage but I can assure you I had little to no hope. I picked up my laundry today and they are miracle workers. 3 out of 5 have zero to no residual ink (miracle) and the other two are hardly noticeable. I've been using the same dry cleaners for about 2 decades now and I've noticed quality has gone downhill so I went on Yelp to try someone new. Aloha Dry Cleaners And Laundry popped up with a ton of great reviews so I decided to give them a try. They are not as close to me as the other dry cleaners but they are conveniently located in Ala Moana Center on the ground floor (near the GNC, Goma Tei Ramen and Satellite City Hall side for those curious). I came in on a Friday and they told me I could pick up by Tuesday of the next week which was a quick turnaround. Unfortunately something came up that week which was urgent so I wasn't able to pick up my dry cleaning till the week after. When you first visit, they gather some of your information to enter you into their system. Customer service was extremely friendly and you have the option to pay when you drop off or pick up. I opted to pay when I dropped off and utilized the Yelp check in discount of 5% off the bill. For 8 pieces (7 slacks and 1 blazer/jacket), it was only $69.24 after discount (March 2024). When I finally picked up my dry cleaning, I was happy with their services and would recommend them to anyone looking for dry cleaning. A wave splashed my wedding dress at the end of my photoshoot so I wanted to get it cleaned right away. It was just a little wet with some dirtiness at the bottom but I was flying to Maui the next day and didn't want to bring it onto the plane like that. I immediately called Aloha Dry Cleaners and Laundry because of all the good reviews on Yelp. Though they were going to close in an hour, they said they were able to take my dress and return it before I returned to the mainland in about a week. Once I got to the store, which is located in a super convenient location at the Ala Moana Center, the staff checked my dress and once again confirmed that they can clean it in the given time frame. He also mentioned that the product they will use for the cleaning might remove a good amount of the sparkles on the dress. I was a little worried about that but decided that I could always add more sparkles after. He charged me $200 for my item. I left the store thinking that I left the dress in good hands. However, when I checked the dress upon pickup, I noticed there was a twig and a big beige stain at the bottom of the dress. The same worker plucked off the twig and said a twig or two left in the dress is normal. Maybe, but when I got back home, I found a HANDFUL of twigs still stuck in the dress. Is that still normal? Was there no quality control performed? As for the stain, the worker said it's probably permanent... The possibility of the dress having a permanent stain was NEVER relayed to me when I first brought my dress in. If I knew, I wouldn't have paid $200 to get it cleaned. I would've just waited until I returned to NYC. The worker basically took no responsibility for the mediocre cleaning, so I left the store feeling disappointed. Not to mention, I later discovered that there were actually MULTIPLE "permanent" stains on the dress and not just the one that I saw upon pickup. I still have to rewear the dress in June, so once I got back to NYC, I researched ways to clean the dress myself. Oxiclean Versatile Stain Remover surprisingly did the job!! And I did it within a few hours... So I technically could've just saved the $200 and cleaned it myself. Afterward, I sent the business a complaint through the quote request feature on Yelp so that I could include photos. And it has been crickets on their end. read more

I don't have items to dry clean often but when I do I like taking them to Aloha Dry Cleaners. I feel like they take the time to inspect the garment and are knowledgeable about care. I like that they check the fabric care tags on my clothes when I'm dropping off to ensure they can complete the service in accordance to the instructions. On more than one occasion I've brought items in without reading the tags at home and at the store they've advised me against dry cleaning, instead of taking the business and running the clothes through the cleaning anyway. I've also brought an item in to be repaired and the adjustment was so quick and minor they did it for free while I was there. Thought it was a good deal for dry cleaning, but turns out it was too good to be true. Received my cream colored suit set back with additional stains than I even came in to begin with. I received my blazer with pen marks and the cream pants with the same stain as if it were never washed. I came back to inform them about this, they took the suit set back informing me I could come in the following day to pick it up. Came back and it was not worked on nor was it back. Had I known that they would not fulfill the promise of next day completion, I would've never allowed them to take it back in the first place. So far so great... I dropped off a simple (supposed to be) floor length dress the other day, and I am hopeful about the results. Updates to follow, but the service was very friendly. Someone said hello as soon as I walked in the door, which was very welcoming as it was my first time in the store. The alterations expert was happy to allow me time to put the dress on so that he could carefully mark where the new hem would go. 2-week turn around estimated but it sounded like someone is out sick and this is abnormally long for them. Edit: I picked up my dress a whole week early. I got the impression that they had worked hard to get the alterations done quickly. Awful experience, clothes ended up with more wrinkles after cleaning than when I dropped them off. Poor attention to detail and would avoid taking any clothes of value to them as they obviously are too lazy to set up the clothing properly in the press before pressing the button. Surprised they were able to even get the center crease right considering they managed to create pleats where there were none and press out the pleats already sewn into the garment. Joke of a dry cleaner and joke of a business. Incompetent would be too kind a word for these lazy excuses for professionals, pretty sure I could get a better result from throwing it into a rusty top loader. read more

Missing my knickers! Took four pieces and was told to return a few days later. During pickup, I checked and saw that a belt was missing as well as linen pants. Belt was hanging on a separate hanger in the back without a plastic. Still wrinkled which makes me question if it was even cleaned. Anywho, pants are no where to be seen. After a five minute search the guy says for me to return the next day after 4:30pm and discounts the entire ticket so I don't pay for the pants. Yes, I return the next day after 430 and learn pants are not there. Another ten minute search with workers loading up the dumpster and a van as the entire shop is moving. I'm told to contact the factory or come back in two weeks. Where are my knickers?!?!! read more
