I'm so glad I found someone as skilled as Karina for my alterations! She's fantastic at both repairs and taking in garments, whether it's adjusting the arm area of a shirt, hemming pants, or tailoring the waist. I love keeping my favorite pieces sustainable, and her work makes that possible. She's thorough, reliable, and easy to work with, and every piece she's altered has come out perfectly. She handles my husband's and daughter's adjustments too! She's prompt with communication and delivers right on time. Highly recommend! read more

Karina is highly responsive and super accommodating! Professionalism at its finest. I am one to research thoroughly, and I found Karina to be the quickest to reply. Plus, she offers competitive pricing! I got a double layer hem for my bridesmaid dress, and Karina completed the hem same-day. She was kind enough to drop the finished product off to me. I will definitely trust Karina for future alterations! read more

My first but not my last visit to Karina was everything a customer would want! She quickly identified what needed to be done taking into account the type of fabric and sizing. She also repaired on a moments notice a broken strap to wearable condition. It's great to find a knowledgeable and caring alteration service as hers. Thank you Karina! read more

Excellent communication and quality work, also very friendly. I highly recommend Karina's very professional service.

Everything went well. Her wanting to make sure my mu'u was exactly what I wanted and her patience with me. She is definitely an expert of creating from a picture. I also had a similar example to help in letting her know what look I was striving for. I needed the mu'u in 2 months, which was ample time for fittings and adjustments. OVERALL- I get lots of compliments on this custom made one-of-a-kind art piece. We were a great team. Karina knows her craft and I'll be back if I need something created again. read more

Karina does top notch alterations... she knows what she is doing. She did a rush job for me without blinking an eye, very efficient and most importantly, my alterations were done to perfection. So glad I found her. Highly recommend! read more

This review is very overdue. She altered my wedding gown in 2024. I bought a second hand gown, which was probably 3 sizes too big. It had a long train and was entirely made of silk. She was able to fit it to me, keep the train, and make a wrist loop (in lieu of a bustle which I don't want). She also made me a little scarf and scrunchie out of the leftover fabric which I got to wear in my hair getting ready and throughout my wedding weekend :) the dress fit so nicely and she put in bra cups so I had no nipples showing through the silk gown. Turn around was fast and she was friendly and professional. I've been meaning to go back to her for everyday item tailoring but I moved to another island. Definitely recommend her. read more

Very helpful and great work. Will go back. It's a little mom-and-pop operation, but she cares and is flexible.

I contacted Karina cos I needed to alter my dress needed some alteration. She was very quick to respond and I was lucky she was able to fit me in shortly. She did an amazing job and her price is very reasonable. She's located Waikīkī/ala Moana area. She does charge a little extra for an emergency work if it's a short notice. Highly recommend this business for your alteration needs! read more

Quality work and she was fast and affordable!! Easy to meet up with as well. Thanks again for your great work!!

Karina was so professional and took care of all my tailoring needs in adjusting my wedding dress! She is the very best!

I love Karina's tailoring work! I've already used her several times, the first time she fixed my shorts that were ripping at the pocket, made them look like brand new again! The 2nd time she tailored a patch from my shirt onto my shirt where my bird made holes, and saved my awesome favorite shirt! I definitely recommend her she's been doing this for over 30 years and she's very good at it! read more

My sweater had over 50 holes. She fixed it up so I can wear it. It was a lot of work (neither of us realized just how many holes there were) and cost more than planned but she finished the work quickly, negotiated the price when it was higher than planned and the sweater looks good. Quick to respond to messages. Would definitely recommend. read more

I am so happy with Karina's service. We were in Hawaii for the weekend our friends wedding and of course something had to go wrong with my suit. Tried contacting this woman to simply take the length of a shirt up by 3". All I can say is in my dealing with her she turned out to be someone who is flighty, unreasonable and over priced....She, in my opinion, lacks any social courtesy and is very unprofessional in dealing with a client. I'm turning 65 this year, so I've been around long enough to know good from bad service.......All I can say is contact this woman if you want the latter......signed: Very disgusted customer. read more

What a find! Karina was very professional and helpful! I would go to her again for my alteration needs.

Karina was incredibly thoughtful of the overall finished product and showed so much attention to detail! She created a great jumpsuit out of a very full dress, and it is just what I was hoping for. Karina did an excellent job altering my bridesmaid dress! I brought it to her Thursday late afternoon and it was done by Monday morning. I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a good seamstress in the San Francisco area. I will likely bring other items to her in the future. read more

My rating is zero. Called her to set up an appointment date and time. Drove all the way to Waikiki on the day of the appointment. Called her and she did not pick up. She called me a few minutes later to tell me she has to reschedule the appointment. No courtesy of a call before hand to cancel our appointment. Don't bother wasting your time. read more

Karina is amazing! She is kind, very responsive and went above and beyond to fit our timeline. We had a brand new garment that needed to be ready by a certain date, as the original zipper that came with the gown fell apart the first time it was tried on at home. Karina turned the garment around quickly, replaced the zipper, and even steamed the gown. read more

Impressed and thankful to Karina for her work! I had a bridesmaid dress for a small, intimate wedding and she was more than willing to take in my dress and do all the alterations necessary! She pays attention to detail and is a perfectionist which I appreciated SO much! Any little detail we saw that could be fixed, she would take more time to fix the dress instead of just shooing me away. Fair pricing and I will most definitely be returning for all other alterations! Great work! read more

Karina is the best! I brought in about 10 pairs, most of them needed size adjustments but she also sewed up any holes I had or loops that broke off from the waistband. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. Everything looks so professional like it came straight from the factory and they all fit to my exact body type. She gave me a really good price because I brought in so many pairs. I'm excited to go back with my next batch. read more

Karina made custom panels to cover a stained glass inset that's in my bedroom door and interior window, and when it turned out that the panels didn't fit quite right, she remade them to be exact. Both times she traveled to my house to deliver them, and all of this extra effort was no extra charge. I strongly encourage you to use her for your next project--she is truly an excellence person! read more

Karina is incredible to work with! I came to her with 3 lehenga skirts that I purchased from India that were way too long and large on me. I needed them in under a week for a wedding, and Karina came through in just a few days. Not only did she make them fit beautifully, she worked with incredibly challenging fabric (all the skirts were embroidered and had thick borders she needed to work around), to create a beautiful product. She was a pleasure to work with and her prices were unbeatable. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of excellent design or alteration work. read more
