Recently, I heard from some friends that the restaurant had been sold and that they were now offering Indian food along with their regular menu, so we decided to give it another try. When we first walked in, there was still a slight odor that reminded me of when people used to smoke inside. It wasn't strong enough to make us want to leave, though. The bar area was fairly busy, while there were only two other guests in the dining room. We were seated and given menus and the daily specials. We asked if we could order from the Indian menu, and our server initially told us they didn't have any menus available and that we would have to ask her what was on it. While we were looking over the regular menu, she came back and said she had found an Indian menu for us. This was our first time trying Indian food, so we did some searching online to see what some of the dishes were and what they looked like. Our server came over to take our drink order. I don't remember her name, but her name on the receipt was Chaney. She was new, and when we asked if she had tried any of the Indian dishes, she was honest and told us she really hadn't. She had tried one thing and liked it, but that was about it. My wife and I decided to give the Butter Chicken a try along with an order of Garlic Naan. When the food came out, it looked very good. The chicken was very tender and came in a red sauce that had a little tangy taste to it. We both thought it was good, especially considering this was our first experience with Indian food. The white rice was a little dry, although I'm not sure if that is how it is normally served since we don't have anything to compare it to. The one thing we both felt could have been better was the amount of chicken. There was quite a bit of sauce, but we would have liked to see more chicken with it there was enough sauce for 3 orders. For dessert, I ordered the raspberry lemon cake to take home. When I got home and had it later, I thought it was very good. Overall, we had a great experience and were glad we decided to give Thursday's another try. The food was good, the new Indian options were something different for us, and our server Chaney was very pleasant and honest with us. Hopefully, as she gets more experience, she'll start trying more of the food herself. That way, when customers ask questions about the menu, she'll be able to give them some recommendations based on her own experience.
