Recently my husband and I had been going through a crazy experience. I'll keep this long story short; after moving into a new apartment it ended up being home for bees as they came into the apartment prompting us to leave with our pets to a hotel! We had to grab a new litter pan and litter as we have a litter robot. The staff were so nice, incredibly helpful and so sweet to our dog sho we brought inside! This was weeks ago as we have no settled into a new apartment but we talk about it often! Seriously the kindness and helpful service was noteworthy. I only wish I could remember their names but the two gentlemen definitely added a dash of ease to a crazy night! Thank you to the staff! This should really be called a feed store as they dont sell pets, and honestly, its all cat/dog food with a small section for bird seed. Pretty underwhelming. If you need food/treats, this store can check your box, but beyond that you'll need to shop elsewhere for pets and pet supplies. The employees were very friendly and welcoming though! read more

I like Kahoots. They have a nice variety of items. I've picked up leashes, collars, dog toys and treats here. The staff is nice and accomodating. You can get your dogs/cats vaccinated here on Saturdays. They also offer teeth cleaning and exams. They don't sedate your pups. They wrap the up in a blanket like a burrito. Then they have them lay in the vet techs lap all relaxed. I've had four of my dogs come through for a teefie clean and no bad experiences. Cost is $175 per pup. I recommend this procedure over a veterinarian which is sedation and about $600. read more

At first we were curious because of the name of the store and didn't know it was a pet store until we walked in and saw a sign that there were pets to see - we only saw some beta fish and sleeping guinea pigs. We walked around the store and saw lots of options for pet food and a huge selection of pet toys. If you're local to Temecula this store is definitely has a great selection for your pet! I like supporting smaller stores so I try to go here instead of some of the big box pet stores. A year or so ago they switched the brand of mealworms they carry. I noticed that the containers were often short the stated amount of worms, at times by almost 20%. I mentioned it to employees but they just shrugged. I continued to purchase them, but not as often. Then I recently bought a large container of mealworms and at least half of them were dead. I spoke to someone (maybe the manager?) about this and she just made excuses about shelf life, etc. She never even apologized, much less offered any compensation. I understand things can happen, but no "I'm sorry?" Guess I'll just buy my mealworms from other sources from now on. read more

Kahoots never fails to impress!! I live in Dallas but am back in Temecula a couple times per year for family. It's never a complete trip until my pup and I stop by Kahoots to find something new and fun. Gertie LOVES going to Kahoots and basically yanks me into the store as soon as we get out of the car because she knows exactly where she's going, even though we only go 2-3 times per year. The staff is incredible, loving, and treat her like royalty. They set up a high bar for pet stores. The merchandise is mostly of great quality and the employees friendly and genuine animal lovers. Flynn (our doggie) says this is his store. It is the only store we come for his needs: foid, toys and occasionaly sweaters. His Tyrkey patties are healthy food for him and not breaking the bank. We compared the prices with Amazon and Kahoots is actually mostly cheaper. So hapoy he have such a good pet store in the neighborhood. read more

We have been going through it with our Golden Retriever puppy and trying to find a food that works well with him. Each staff member is EXTREMELY knowledgeable on dog nutrition and has helped us tremendously. We have learned so much from going in. My Frenchie seems to always be picky about her food. But I haven't had an issue with her eating the grain free Kahoots brand. I've rotated protein bases for her enjoyment. But besides that, she's been eager to eat her recommended daily amount (and then some!). Employees are always friendly and if you're too tired to carry the 35lb bag out, then they'll gladly do it for you. They also provide samples of their food if you ask. Just so your dog can try it out first. Also, they provide low cost vaccinations. Haven't tried it out but if you're in a bind, then not a bad option. Definitely a recommended spot for any dog owner! Parking has never been an issue. Never had to use the restroom since I'm usually in and out pretty quick. Store is always clean. What more can you ask for from a pet store?! read more

Been shopping regularly at Kahoots for a year and a half now. Really cool store, great products and helpful staff. Even though I use the big chain stores sometimes I shop here more often for things. When my dog was sick we bought goats milk in the freezer and thawed it in the fridge at home. He loved it and it helped keep him strong and well nourished. I also bought green teeth cleaning sticks, liquid vitamin supplements, toys, healthy treats (once in a while), and grooming aids. Now I buy cat items like catnip, toys, cat grass, hairball preventative and they have good sales on canned food so it's good to come in often and see what specials are cooking. read more
