    Pita Bread with Toum
    Rodney S.

Occupying the former location of Chinitos, Kabob Master has now set up shop in it's stead, serving fine Lebanese cuisine. The owner operates a catering business & previously ran a now closed restaurant/hookah lounge in Pomona, and just recently opened Kabob Master as his base of operations in Lakewood. Being within walking distance to my residence, I was more than giddy having another dining option to patronize. Garlic sauce (toum), pita, hummus, baba ghanoush - everything is house-made at Kabob Master and customers can taste the difference. Kabob Master's pita bread was light & fluffy, and the garlic sauce was deliciously strong & pungent. Also the baba ghanoush had a great earthy & smoky flavor profile, with a creamy texture. Lamb kabob & shawarma combo plate- Lamb is one of my favorite proteins, and Kabob Master's combo plate was a hearty introduction to their food. While the shawarma was a tad well done, for my preference, the kabab was succulently medium rare. The seasoned rice was well seasoned and the salad & hummus balanced out a filling and substantial meal. Service was excellent. Alex, the owner, provided service throughout the entire visit, including cooking. A good amount of seating, with a few outdoor tables, Kabob Master has online ordering via Door Dash/Uber, phone-in orders or, the old fashioned way, walk up. Parking can be an issue during peak hours. I suggest try finding parking across the street on State Rd., if no parking spaces are available in the shared lot. Kabob Master is situated between Cassidy's Corner Cafe & Boba Homies. A great eatery, and so close to where I live, too! Kabob Master is a terrific Mediterranean food restaurant, and whether for a quick lunch, or as a caterer for a large event, Kabob Master will satisfy the taste buds for even the pickiest of foodies. Highly recommend!

Got the Chicken Kabob sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and garlic sauce. It was a tasty pita sandwich. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The chicken was tender, moist and well seasoned. I detected maybe some citrus flavor? Service was very friendly. While waiting for your food to be prepared, you can sit at a table and listen to the cool mellow music from the television. Service was very friendly. Parking may be tough since KM is located in a mini strip mall.

Fast casual cute, clean, and quick. Newly opened 3 weeks ago, service friendly but it was a one man show about 10 customers in 30 minutes, needed more staff but pretty quick for cook to order, that poor guy was working really hard. We so appreciated him. Got the 2 kabob combo Chicken and filet mignon about 10 piece of meat, there is and up charge for steak kabob. The meat was cooked to perfection and delicious. I preferred the chicken so flavorful, the hummus, and tabouli was very good. Tzatziki was fresh and tasty. Portioned good. We really enjoyed our lunch and will be back. Bravo!

Who doesn't love Mediterranean food. Popped in to grab a chicken kabob sandwich. The chicken is well seasoned but the sandwich needs more meat. Maybe the plate would be better. Fries are good. But the fried cauliflower is sooooo good! This family owned spot will do great.

Kabob Master recently opened up on Del Amo Blvd by Studebaker in the space that was previously occupied by Chinitos Tacos. They have your option of kabob plates, kabob bowls, or sandwiches. For $22, I got a "duo kabob" plate with lamb and filet mignon kebabs, rice, spicy hummus, and a cucumber/yogurt/mint salad. The meats were perfectly cooked, with some nice char on the exterior, but the pinkness/doneness was perfect. I'll definitely be back for more kebabs. Definitely glad to have a great option close to home!

3 skimpy kabob combo with 2 extra sides and a canned soda for $63 via grub hub. Never again.

The food was tasty but the experience left me not wanting more. I ordered through Grubhub and paid $63 dollars for one entree with 3 kabobs, one extra side of tzatziki, one extra side of tabouli salad. I was planning on making 3-4 meal preps out of this. The entree with 3 kabobs were so skimpy. You don't get 3 full kababs but 2-3 pieces of meat per protein . The pink turnip pickles were not crisp but was mushy. The bigger issue is that they didn't include my extra side order of tzatziki. They also added a coke to my order instead of the Diet Coke I ordered. I was able to get my money back but I will not order from here again. Kabob crush gives you a ton of food and are priced better Oh and I didn't receive any pita bread with my order. Sad Lastly, the girl I spoke to on the phone there was just plain rude when I asked about my order and its missing items. Disappointing for what I thought was a 5 start business

Amazing food!!! So fresh and tasty. I liked it even better than Green Olive. I had the Duo plate with the kofta and chicken, rice, house salad, and hummus. It also came with pita and garlic sauce. The meats were moist with a charbroiled deliciousness! Must try!!! Friendly service

Tabbouleh Salad, Stuffed Grape Leaves, kebbeh lamb/beef, spinach fatayer

I said I was going to give this place a second chance and I am so HAPPY I did! Alex the owner was there and as my husband and I were ordering,he knew right away that I was the Karen that left a not so good review on our first visit. Him and his staff were very personable and he was happy we came back. Everything we ordered was so satisfying! My husband is Lebanese and his family is on the East Coast so needless to say he doesn't get his Lebanese home cooking ,but now he can! We ordered the stuffed grape leaves heated, spinach fatayer, fried kebbeh lamb/beef, and the tabbouleh salad. I don't eat lamb, but the flavor of the mixed lamb and beef kebbeh was delicious. The tabbouleh salad was also very tasty and satisfying. We are so happy we went back and now really hoping this business succeeds as we finally found a place that makes good Mediterranean food and we definitely plan on returning! This is a clean and welcoming establishment. Alex thank you so much for your hospitality and good food. We will see you again soon!!!

Homemade Garlic Sauce on Homemade Pita bread

A small restaurant just opened on Del Amo Blvd and Studebaker Road. Very clean place and lots of parking. The owner Alex took our order of a combo plate of Chicken and Lamb. We requested to split the order between me and my wife and he was very accommodating to grant our request. While waiting for our food he served us Pita bread with his own home made garlic sauce. It was so delicious! The food came in fast and was personally served by Alex himself. The Chicken was well marinated, cooked well outside and served as moist inside it was well made. The taste was really great not salty or sweet but it had a certain taste that was really memorably great! The lamb was also marinated and prepared well not overcooked was really soft and breaks all your salivary glands to the max of great tasting meat! The salad was also homemade and WOW! Wait till you dip the homemade Pita bread into the homemade garlic sauce (we had to ask for more!) and of course the Hummus was also homemade. Dipped my Pita on it and a sudden rush of happiness from my mouth was really unexplainable! You have to try it yourselves. Local restaurants such as Kabab Crush and Green Olive now has a competitor that will surely hit the restaurant scene!

There is a bell that you have to ring in order to get one. Remember to get it! It's very tender. The salad section was great. It had a good variety of greens, and they were all dressed and seasoned very well. I liked the big cucumber salad and the kale with pita chip salad the most. The pita chips as croutons were very nice and crispy. The hummus section was awesome. My favorite one is the green one. I think it's avocado? You should try them all! Don't get filled up on it, though--save room for the meats! Besides the lamb shank, I liked the kofta and the gyro. The first batch of kofta I had was very juicy, and the second was more on the drier side. Same goes for the gyro. It was cut kind of thick and was a little dry. The garlic sauce they have went very well with it! I also got the beets, and they were my favorite item. They were sweet and tender, cooked to perfection. The cantaloupe and honeydew were both very sweet. I think that's kind of hard to come by these days. Their pudding was okay, not my favorite. I also tried the baklava, and it is definitely one of the better ones I have ever had. Definitely recommend this place, and I will come back.

They sort of got an Indian mix in their buffet, the problem is that the curry is watered down, and the chicken over done or too loose. Luckily I'm not here for the Indian food. The grilled veggies was the real star of the show, I can't wait to go again to try their greens, but since there's that recall I'm playing safe, looked amazing though. The lamb was tender and great, although it's one shank per person there is a lamb rice dish on the buffet line and you can get more lamb meat. The beef kebab is pretty standard and the rose water is uniquely good. Although I did water mine down a little to reduce the sweetness. The desserts are great, usually the fruits at buffets aren't sweet but these were! The pasteries felt like it was Greek restaurant grade. Would come here again when I'm in the area, the price is great if you typically can eat two plates - cost of plates nowadays are too much elsewhere.

One thing you absolutely cannot skip is the edamame hummus. I had never even heard of edamame hummus before coming here, and now I can't believe I went so long without trying it. Having lived in Beijing and eaten Uyghur-style food out in the streets and in established…read morerestaurants as I traveled around, I was unbelievably excited to find this restaurant near home. However, it left me wanting more. I do wonder about the plethora of high reviews, because from my standpoint of having had a lot of Uyghur-style food abroad and my husband who had never had any, this place disappointed in taste. Ambiance (3/5): It was large, brightly lit and clean, but being so empty, it felt kind of sterile in there due to the lack of air flow and a TV blaring Spanish infomercials. I think it would add to the mood if they played some light instrumental music. Service (3/5): There was one waitress the whole time we were there and other than taking our order, she didn't come by much. I had to go to her twice to ask for things, including asking about rice. It was weird that she let us order without letting us know that we had to order rice separately. Yes...unlike most Chinese restaurants that automatically serve complimentary rice with main course dishes, you have to order rice and it's charged per bowl. Yikes. Food (3/5): We ordered the spicy Sichuanese boiled fish, lamb skewers and popcorn chicken. Admittedly, the fish and chicken dish aren't very Uyghur, and for that, it's our fault. However, the fish just was not close to anything I've had elsewhere, and not in a good way. It wasn't that spicy and it didn't have that signature mala kick. It was also salty. This was probably the most disappointing. The popcorn chicken was called something else on the menu, but it was essentially a big order of what you'd get at a Taiwanese boba shop. My kids loved it but I questioned why we ordered boba shop food on a dish. If anything were to right the wrongs, I expected the lamb skewers to be perfect at the price for four and it being a major Uyghur specialty. While the smell of the spices was accurate, the chunks of lamb were dry and tough that even my husband who had zero expectations mentioned what I noticed. I'm giving this place 3 stars for it being a unique restaurant that tries, but at the price point and quality of food, we both didn't feel that it would be a place we would visit again. The empty restaurant during peak dinner hours might have been a hint. But if you have restrictions such as needing to eat Halal food, then this restaurant offers some different dishes, so that may be its huge plus.
