Fantastic! Exactly what I was on the hunt for.

My coworkers and I ordered food out last week and I called and placed everyone's order. I ordered the chicken and beef combo and I must say that my meal was absolutely amazing. The chicken and beef were very well seasoned. I also loved the chick peas and the way that it was prepared. I am a rice lover so the rice with the chick peas were a great pairing. And they give you huge pieces of flatbread. Although they missed one of our orders my food was great and I would definitely return. I wish that they delivered because I could go for some right now. read more

Meeeh it's ok. I like grill kabob express a lot more. You get more food and it is tastier. Grill kabob express' bread are bigger and a lot more flavorful. This place doesn't offer the free sides like spinach or chick peas. It's ok but not the best. read more

To start off the customer service was amazing! The two ladies we encountered were absolutely delightful and patient with us as we decided what we wanted. We had the veggie platter with chick peas and spinach and the boneless chicken kabob. Both veggies and the brown basmati rice were delicious. The kabob was tender and very flavorful. The green sauce was a great addition. The portions were so generous we could've shared one plate. Like other kabob places the only down side is the amount of styrofoam used. Make this one short and sweet... is there better kabob in the world? Yes. Is there better kabob in the area that I've found - and I've tried a lotta different places... No. Food is always on point, the sides such as the chickpeas, meatballs in sauce, eggplant, spinach, etc. are always consistent and well-flavored. The kabobs are all pretty tasty, the chicken is well-seasoned and the kubideh is pretty good. The karahi is fantastic, but could use more meat and a bit less vegetables. The lamb is generally very good and cooked to perfection, but sometimes can be a bit dry, so be sure to ask that your lamb is kept moist. There isn't really much bad you can say. The interior of the restaurant is a bit plain but suits it well enough, and takeout is always hot and good portions. If, IF even, you like fish in the slightest, try their Mahi Mahi when they have it. It's a bit salty but absolutely amazing! All in all, highly recommend and I will continue to frequent them and recommend them. Had to edit this review... They really deserve 5 stars. So yummy! My favorites are the chicken and ground beef kabobs. The sambosa is good but serving size is small.

Tasty kabobs, dirty restaurant. The food is more like four or five stars ...something different and very good to excellent quality. Unfortunately, as someone who is conscious of cleanliness (particularly in places where my food is prepared), I was a grossed out by dingy furniture, dirty floors, tables, countertops, and restrooms. I went to this place when they first opened and when they did their food was AMAZING! it changed hands and got a different owner or something, bc ever since everything has gone downhill! Their chicken thigh combo is the best. I went two hours before closing, and I guess they don't expect customers qround that time - because the rice was barely warm! Fairfax County Health Dept would have had a fiesta in here! Their sides, some are made in house and others are brought already made... eggplant side was SWIMMING in oil. I always have to ask for fluffy bread bc they tend to stretch it too thin and burn it, and half the time the bread came back fluffy and not fully cooked. The green and the white sauce is always nice with the chicken... to ask for an extra one and have to pay $0.50 for it is ridiculous - till you find out is $2 for an exrea bread piece and $4 to substitute a choice of meet on ANY plate for a meet that you would prefer! To change the salad dish to extra rice is $1, but considering how everything except the chicken isn't hot, and half the time not fresh, their extra fees are not worth it. Every other month they have someone newz and while that isn't a problem, hiring people who don't really understand the menu, and people who can't communicate in English very well is a big hiccup. Some of their past employees held you with a grudge if you ask for an extra disposable plate, if you went back to bug them for something - which is what happened when I asked if they could refill the small water pitcher they have on the table. They don't want t invest in a water cooler to keep the water cold, and they put faucet water in the pitcher! Its ridiculous! Most of the time the tables are clean, but their atmosphere of the restaurant, on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being "ambient", this restaurant scores a 4. Its enough to get tye job done, but the quality of their remodeling is low - so it looks run down and cheap - I think the owners are trying to save as much as possible, and to pocket the rest after paying rent and their employees! Not a good business model to use; even with other locations, without a standard enforced, this business, and its sister properties, will eventually collapse. Despite everything, I'd still come here because the next Kabob restaurant, which is a 10 out of 10, on EVRYTHING, is Kabob Palace, in Arlington/Alexandria. read more

I frequent Kabob Corner weekly at lunch time. They have a good selection at affordable prices. Their lunch specials are also well priced. I usually get the K14 Combo 2 Kabob. It's the best deal as you get a lot of food for just under $11. K14 comes with chicken and kubideh, rice, side salad, tandoori bread, and a choice of a side. I get either the spinach or chickpeas. The meats are always tender, juicy and well spiced. The spinach is a bit spicy which I love! The bread is always fresh. As for the staff, they are always friendly. The restaurant could use a good make over especially in the men's room, but I'm there to eat not live. read more

I loved Kabob Corner the first few times I got take out there. The service was fine, the chicken kabobs were juicy and well-seasoned, and they gave me a giant piece of naan bread for each order of kabobs. I felt like I got a great quantity of delicious food for the price. The restaurant is very clean and modern inside, which I like. The past two times, however, things started going downhill. The service felt a bit surly both times (the person taking my order over the phone sounded seriously annoyed that I called), and the last order of vegetarian side dishes I got was sloppy and packed incorrectly - it was upside down in the plastic bag they put it in, so each dish came out of it's compartment and mixed together to form an unappetizing pile of slop, and it leaked everywhere. I didn't notice until I got home, of course. And for some reason they started giving me only one piece of bread per order of kabobs. I might give it one more try since I loved it so much the first few times I went, but I'll probably wait awhile. read more

I also like the white and green sauce and they only give the green Sauce, when youre paying $11 for a combo I think they should both be offered. Ofcourse I buy the extra anyway but I only buy one, when I would buy an extra even if one was given to me. read more

Very authentic kabobs and great customer service, sometimes takes them 15 mins or longer to make a kabob (just make sure to order ahead of time), I would recommend getting their lunch special and always extra white sauce. Great food overall read more

Wonderful environment, nice and clean... espiacally the bathrooms which says a lot about how clean the kitchen is kept. The service is good.. very nice and welcoming... waited about ten minutes for my kabob which is average... the only thing i didnt like to much was the taste it was very bland... not a lot of spices are used... Being from Afghanistan, I have had the pleasure of knowing most Afghan restaurants serve up some really amazing food. Having that thought in mind, me and a couple of buddies headed towards Kabob Corner expecting out of this world-amazing food. We arrived there forty minutes before their closing to only be ignored. As soon as we opened the door, the servers went to hiding in the back. We waited and waited and finally had to leave because no one had any shame or dignity to serve us. The first time I came to this establishment the young lady at the front had an incredibly bad attitude. I ordered my food anyway and it was not fabulous but decent. I stopped by today for my son who is a vegetarian. Tables were dirty. I ordered a vegetarian dish that was supposed to come with rice, fried spinach and fried eggplant. After about 20 minutes the girl at the register called me to the counter. She asked me to pick three additional sides. I told her I was confused because the dish is supposed to come with spinach and eggplant she said yes it's in the back but you can pick extra. I asked about the rice she said the rice comes in a separate container.There were four sides to choose from. 2 not at all appetizing. She then offered me beef meatballs but hello it was a vegetarian dish. I selected some chickpeas just to be done with it. Next thing I see is her taking the side of rice and putting it in my bag. I asked her where was the eggplant & fried spinach. She said, "Oh its still cooking. You still want it?" Uh dear. It is what I ordered. She said okay let me go see. She went to the back and came back out and said you will have to wait 25 minutes. She is soooooooo lucky I had a hungry child and I'm working on anger. Best kabob in Fairfax! Compared to my favorite place in Crystal City, this is a very close winner. The chicken kabob was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The basmati rice was amazing too. The white sauce was so good with the chicken kabobs. For $12 you can't beat this! read more

I've had kabobs all over Northern VA, and this one stands out as one of my favorites. Highly recommend it, the meat is well seasoned, you get good sized chunks of meat, speedy service, and the bread and chickpeas are a fantastic complement. Want to love this place but so far only like it. New Fairfax resident and happy to find a kabob place (was in kabob heaven living in Vienna). This place is Afghan which is good with me, and offers a few options beyond Kabab. Prices are reasonable and it's nice to have complementary tea. Staff seems to be Afghan or at least middle eastern and are very friendly and communicative. Food is fresh cooked and arrives reasonable fast considering that it's fresh cooked. Love that they have Wifi. Unfortunately there have been quality issues both visits. The first visit the food was overcooked. The chicken quite charred and dry and kubedeh was borderline. However, spicing and food nice in all other respects. I'm here one week later to give it another try and two pieces of the chicken are very tough. Set them to the side and leave them level of toughness. I didn't know chicken breast could be that tough - it seems like way more of an issue than more than overcooking or anything, and they don't seem overcooked anyway. I guess somebody in the kitchen should be sampling each batch of food supplies as it comes in? I'm not sure the answer/solution but am concerned that I had two issues in two visits. Somehow every restaurant where I've even eaten chicken has figured out how to not have it be this tough. I will report again after my next visit. The place seems good enough to give it another try and now I feel like I own them to try again, after this review. read more
