Cindy was super nice and she did an excellent job! I'm super impressed with her pedicure, given she works the business by herself! Her prices are amazing, and she is super talented! I highly recommend her to anyone wanting any of her services! read more

I found my new salon!!! I recently moved to the area and needed a new nail salon. Judging by the reviews, I decided to give this place a try. Also, I support small business owners. When I walked in, I was a bit surprised at how small the place was but I recall the reviews saying such. Cindy (the owner) immediately welcomed me. She was so friendly and gave me a hug when I told her that it's my first time and that I found her on Yelp. Her and I began chatting up a storm and getting to know each other. She did a fantastic job on my nails and her prices are fabulous. I will definitely be returning! Note, this is not your fancy, overrated, top of the line salon. This business has been in her family for over 20+ years and Cindy is an extremely hard worker. Dont come here if you want glitz and glam. Come here if you want an at-home feel and quality work at a decent price!! read more

KD Nails has been in the OC for almost 20 years. It's a locals only kind of spot. It's only $20 for a mani/pedi. It's not a rush you in and spit you out type of place. It's small and the lady who owns the shop takes her time to do a good job. I've stumbled upon this place about a year ago, and I refuse to go to another nail shop especially in this economy. The price is perfect for my budget. She and I chat about life the way salons use to be, with one on one personal treatment. I generally get my nails done on the weekend, when I have a couple of hours to endulge on some me time. She is a cash only place so don't get annoyed there's no CC machine, there's a Wells Fargo one block away. KD Nails is simply a good place to get your nails done. read more

Okay, so I was really hoping this would be my new go to spot because Cindy is such a sweet lady and she was very pleasant. I did my nails on a Saturday and I neglected the fact that she barely touched my cuticles. BUT by Tuesday my nails were chipping. I contacted her and she said she would fix them with no charge. When I got there She blamed my nails and she might be right but after I came for a fix she did an effortless job. It's safe to say I will not be going back. read more

This place is a little hole in the wall, but the lady who is there on weekdays is really nice and gives nice 30 minute facials and waxes eyebrows well. The prices are reasonable. It's not a fancy place, but if you are on a budget, then the services are worth the money spent. read more

This is the best nail salon! Cyndi is the greatest ! She genuinely cares for her customers and is the sweetest! 10/10 recommend! read more

I loved the service there, Cindy was very kind and made sure I was feeling comfortable. I would definitely come back to her for my next pedi! read more

Cindy is the best! She's a one woman show and I couldn't be more impressed. Easy to book and taking all the COVID precautions really seriously (temp, sanitizer, mask, plexiglass barriers). She took her time and made sure my gel nails and pedicure were perfect. Best part is- she has the sweetest personality too! read more

Went here instead of waiting in a pretty long walk-in line at la belle across the shopping center. Best decision. Was a little apprehensive because it's just one woman, but she is great. My only request is that she adds more gel color options. But still 5 stars because I walked in exhausted and left feeling revived with a smile on my face and great looking nails! read more

Cindy was so sweet and knowledgeable. She made a cute design with a heart for me. I got a fill and I love them!

Having my nails done here for a few months now. Cindy is great & her shop is neat & clean.

Cindy is so very very sweet and personable, but I got the worst nails I've ever had here. I got a basic set of acrylics and she shaped each nail differently, they were all crooked, and 4 days later, one nail just popped off. That's an all time low after years and years and years of getting nails done all over the place. She is super sweet and well meaning, but if I'm back, it will only be for a pedicure, since they are cheap and how hard can it be to eff up a pedicure? (Hope that doesn't come back to haunt me.) read more

Great spot for cuticle and nail care. Cindy truly cares about the longevity of natural nails and only cutting what is necessary. You may have to wait, since she's the only manicurist, but I think it's well worth it. read more

What a delight! Cindy was cute and sweet and super fast. The price was also right. Both my mani and pedi look and feel amazing. I'll be back! read more

I have been coming to this shop for 3 years and would highly reccomend KD Nails on Harbor and Adams to anyone (the shop is located in the same strip as Blockbuster, Bagel Mania, etc). The lady who owns the shop is very sweet, does excellent work and it's always guaranteed. There are many different options of services but you never feel pressured to get add ons although they are offered on the displayed service list. The basic mani/pedi is only $20 (best price I've seen) and the pedicures last anywhere from 2-4 weeks. I always feel that I am getting personalized treatment and not being rushed out right away (very dillligent about making sure my nails and toes are dry and ok to leave) but if I am in a rush I will be accomodated. This shop is CASH ONLY but I know to plan accordingly if I intend to go....I belong to Bank of America and that is across the street with Starbucks so I can grab cash, coffee and then head over to KD Nails. I usually do the nail services but have had an upper lip wax a few times which was very good as well. If you are looking for quality work, an affordable price and a pleasant/friendly experience this is YOUR SHOP!!!! read more

Needed to find a close nail salon that was open early. Didn't know I was going to find a new home. Got a response within 15 mins even before the store was open. Personalized, quick and quality service at a very reasonable price. Highly highly recommend. read more

Cindy is the best!!! I have been coming here for almost 4 years and have even moved to San Diego for the last year and I still drive the hour and a half to have Cindy do my nails and eye brow wax. I always do walk in with my friend and every time Cindy greats us with hugs and questions about our lives. Everytime I come to visit KD Nails is one of the first places I go. The salon is small but cute and the work is always done perfectly. The prices are great too and Cindy never pressures us with add ons or extras. She and the salon are perfect!! read more

Cindi is the best. This place has been here forever and is the only place Ill ever get my nails done (you can also get waxed, facials, etc) Its great because she does everything and she does it all herself, for the best prices. We have a great time talking and if you are on a budget like me its money well spent. She's a great artist. The room is decorated with beautiful flowers and birds, fish, all things she's created from recycled papers. I love KD Nails and recommend it to anyone who wants some good work done in a comfortable atmosphere for the best prices in costa mesa. read more

Words cannot explain the level of irritation and frustration I just experienced here. I was at Wells Fargo on my lunch break and needed my nails done. Normally I would have just gone to Happy Nails across the street but there was a sign outside advertising some kind of special, plus no one was inside. I figured I'd be in and out quickly since I didn't have a lot of time. I walked in and the first thing I told the lady was it was my first time there and I specifically asked if I could be done in an hour, and she smiled and nodded. Told me it'd be $25 for a new set. At first we chit chatted back and forth while she did her thing with the Dremel. Things started looking shifty when it took her 10 (yes, I watched the clock) TEN full minutes to find the right size tips for my nails. For every nail she tried every size. I seriously thought someone was punking me. I should have listened to my intuition before she proceeded to apply the acrylic. At that point I was pretty convinced she 1) was not licensed and 2) had never done a new set before. It was like getting my nails done by someone who had watched the process a hundred times and finally just decided, hey, that looks easy enough to do, let me try! Long story short, after slicing my pinky with a nail file that had a tear in it, struggling to apply the acrylic in what looked like an attempt to get it on without having to shape it with the Dremel at all (it was lumpy and thin), and then filing them OVAL when I specified VERY SQUARE, I looked up at the clock and I'd been in there over an hour. She had only shaped 3 nails. I told her to stop and that I did not want to continue. My left hand was completely unfinished. The language barrier seemed to have worsened as we both started to get frustrated. Then she had the audacity to tell me it was going to be $25. I told her there was no way in hell I would pay for a full set when she didn't even finish the job, but I would pay for the work she already did. She kept trying to tell me to come back later and she'd fix it... honestly this went on for another 5 minutes...and I had to repeat over and over and over that I was not going to come back ever and to please run my card so I could get back to work. She still insisted so I finally just said yeah whatever. I paid $15 because I'm not a dirtbag but there's no way I will ever go back there or endorse this place. read more

Not the nicest, but clean enough. Pedicure is $12 and it was pretty good, lasted about 3 weeks and their selection of colors and glitter topcoats was good. Plus they don't pressure you into callous removal/nail art. They were very quick and efficient. You really can't get a pedicure cheaper than $12 that I know of. read more

After walking in to two other nail places( both of which had long lines), I thought I'd give this place a shot. I'm glad I did!! Cindy did a great job on my pedicure. She buff and polished my fingernails perfectly. It was nice, cozy and relaxing. She was really sweet and personable. I'll be going back again. read more

Cindy is the best! She is so chill. She's old school Asian, so if you say you're going to do something...do it. It was my first time there and I called to get my nails done. I told her I would be there in 10 minutes and got there in 5. Turns out, she was already closed, but waited for me so I can get my nails done. DON'T LEAVE HER HANGING! She offers the best customer service and is the most meticulous nail tech ever. She is worth it! I support her business. read more

Went here for my first time today and I'm now calling KD Nails my spot. Cindy is so sweet and doesn't upsell anything (I hate that!). In fact, she didn't ask if I wanted any upgrades, which I appreciated. There was no wait. My pedicure is immaculate! All for $12 (although I paid her $20)! Try this place out! read more

This place was absolutely filthy, everything was covered in a thick layer of dust. None of her tools were new or clean either, all were obviously previously used. She filed my nails completely unevenly and they had rough edges and were different shapes. I just asked for round. I got a gel polish, which was $23, she had a decent selection of colours but all from an off-brand that was very bad quality. It chipped almost right away and kept chipping until I just decided to take the rest off. She also overpainted part of my nail leaving a sharp, hard edge digging into my finger and the texture was uneven/thin/bubbly on all my nails. Either the base coat didnt cure properly or her polish is expired because the base coat stayed attached to my nail while the coloured coat chipped. She also buffed my nails with a dremel even though I had no gel, acrylic, nail glue etc at all. No need to use power tools on fresh nails. She was nice but I was honestly disturbed at the lack of sanitation and regret not walking out. It was the most bare bones manicure as well, very rushed. Did not soak my nails or lotion/massage my hands. I can go a few blocks down the street to Nail Lab & Spa and pay $25 for a gel manicure where they take their time, ask if you are happy with the length/shape/colour of your nails every step of the way, are friendly and very clean and have a huge selection of colours/brands. Only went here because they were open later Sunday evening (nail tech complained about another customer coming in and then changing her mind because she had to stay open even though those were her posted hours!) read more

Cindy is the sweetest! I would give a call and ask if she is free it is just her. But she is so fabulous, fun, and did a wonderful job. I got a gel manicure and I love it. Price was great and she took her time with me. I couldn't figure out what color I wanted but she even took the time to apply three different colors to one nail so I could pick! I loved that. I never have had that at any other big nail salon. Really enjoyed talking to her, it felt like home away from home for some reason. Like I was talking to someone who loved me haha sounds silly but that meant a lot and I needed a little pick me up like that. I will forever be coming back! read more
