Parking on Sunday evening now costs $5 because you have to pay the overnight rate. We were told the wait would be 40 minutes. Three people came 15 minutes after us, and we were told they also had reservations. After we were seated, they told us that they now accept reservations from groups of five or more. With the higher parking fees and new reservations policy this restaurant might need to come off my recommended list.

It appears that there is more parking for this restaurant, as there is a downstairs garage designated parking for Kapiolani Seafood Restaurant. 2. The new location appears to be more spacious, because when I dined at the old location I noticed there wasn't as much space between tables. 3. The new Kapiolani Seafood Restaurant location is less than a block away from the original location, so not hard to find. The day we took my dad here for dim sum, the food was fabulous (see pics), and service was great! No complaints here, that's for sure. Jonesing for dim sum, you may consider coming to Kapiolani Seafood Restaurant (which is in town near the Ala Moana area, vs. going to Chinatown).
