My homeowner's insurance (AHS) sent Just-One-Call to repair my AC in October. They explained that a valve had broke and filled the Freon for $500. One month later, the AC was noticeably less cold. Just-One-Call and AHS both denied responsibility. Weather got cool, so I eventually gave up calling. Recently, I called another repair company that confirmed it was still a leak; therefore, Just-One-Call never fixed the leak and just added Freon. In summary, Just-One-Call did not fix the leak correctly and would not return, probably because insurance would not pay them again to come back. If your insurance sends this company, please request for another. If you're paying out of pocket, go with a better rated company. read more

After A MONTH of living without AC in the hottest part of summer because based the previous AC Company told my home warranty that I would have to pay $6K (turns out they were just trying to add work and make me replace things that didn't need to be replaced, they said it wouldn't be compatible, when switching one tiny part would save me $5K). On Thursday Armen and Ashot came out and diagnosed the fix (the right way, which included replacing the Evaporator Coil and the Line Set), and Saturday morning Erik and Ashot were already at my house with all of the new parts. Erik worked super hard to make sure that everything was fixed (even though the other company butchered my system), and I slept in a cool house for the first time in over a month. Also thru the LA DWP program, a technician was at my place within 24 hours of my call. And when my A/C wasn't working right, technician Ashot stayed (even called a co-worker for some help) until he got it working. I did have to pay a little bit because several things needed replacing but my A/C now pushes out some nice cold air that it wasn't doing before. AND I got a new NEST through the program. Very happy with Just One Call & I will refer a bunch of my friends/family their way. :o) read more

Very nice people came and change the thermostat and check the AC and did a very good job on it. Our ac is working way better than before and they helped us how to work with the new thermostat . I needed to replace my old heat pump. I received 4 responses, 1 I did not even consider due to upfront fees for quotes (makes me wonder about their 5 star rating on Yelp....it did not sound right to me....) I used my home shield warranty to get some duct work fix. They contacted just one call to come check out the air conditioning.their service tech arrived early and was profession. When I told him the a/c was fine it was the duct work that was the issue he told me he could not fix duct work it wasn't in the scope of his duty. He pop his head in the attic took a couple of photos and charged me 75 buck which come to find out they're not suppose to collect. I get a call from the home shield stating that they couldn't help me because my duct straps need to be replaced and their were no damage to the ducting. I spent 25 min convincing them to send another person out to take a look. Morales of this story is if you can't fix duct work how can you give your professional opinion on what is wrong with the duct. Stay in your area of expertise. read more

First, for your company name to be your first impression, it shouldn't be named for only having to make one call in order to fix your central AC; this company does not do it all, they cannot fix your ducting. So you'll end up having to make a second call. Worst experience with a technician ever. Manny, came to the house, and was instantly off putting and unmotivated to help find the problem with our AC. He did one check to see if there was pressure coming out of our vents inside, he went outside and heard the fan going and checked for Freon leaks and then quickly decided "it's probably the ducting torn in your attic and we don't do that service, so you'll have to call someone else." BTW, next technician appointment couldn't be made now until 3 days later so we were sitting around in a hot house. The right technician from my second call to another company, found out there was not enough Freon and recharged it and found that he fan is slow and will need replacement. That's it. Could have been fixed with the first call but wasn't. Thanks for reading. read more

I needed someone to come fix my AC when it stopped working and initially I called another company that I found online. They were good because they came out to inspect my unit pretty quickly. However they told me to replace my entire unit which was way over my budget!! They were super pushy on me fixing it immediately with them. These past few weeks I've had nothing but bad luck with AC repairmen until I came across Just One Call. I called them and let them know what was happening with my AC unit and they sent out a technician to take a look, after just a few minutes he knew what the problem was with my unit. I apparently had a leak in refrigerant, my AC unit was tuned up and working again. I would definitely recommend Just One Call very professional and on time.
