I'd already packed much of the stuff I cared about and left it to Careful Movers to do the heavy lifting of my many boxes and the furniture and electronics. Since I have stairs in my house and the new one has an elevator he estimated 4 men and more hours due to stairs and elevator that could potentially take longer. Enrique and his 3-man team arrived before the scheduled window. They did a walk through for assessment and then proceeded methodically and meticulously to pack what I did not and move everything to their 1 truck (yes, 1 truck was enough). They packed in 3 hours. At the destination (which was local), in spite of the elevator, they finished the move in 3 hours. 10 hours was estimated, but Enrique did it in 6 hours. Kudos to them! They did a fabulous job. I chose Careful Movers based on everything I heard and asked about. They lived up to their name. Everything arrived in perfect working order, and nothing was broken. I HIGHLY recommend Careful Movers for your moving needs.

The crew was so calm and patient, it really helped us to not freak out with all that had to be done. They offered great input to help make things faster and easier. They clearly had years of experience, they were so knowledgeable about things we had to dismantle. They even helped us make boxes. They were careful to wrap everything in blankets. We had zero scratches and nothing broke. They really hustled and were able to pivot to another task when my friend was constantly changing her mind about where stuff went. This was the most unprepared move I've ever been a part of with a person who is very, very particular and they handled it perfectly! I didn't think we'd be able to get it all done but the crew managed everything until the very end, even helping us put drawers back in dressers as those of us helping were exhausted. They did a fantastic job covering the floors so the wood floors didn't get scratched and were conscientious about wearing shoe covers when they were in the new house. They even helped us decide if we wanted to keep the floor covered by telling us to not keep the tape on the floors for more than a day or two. I can't imagine a better crew helping us with this monumental task. Their kindness and encouraging smiles and professional demeanor were outstanding and I really felt like we were in good hands. Thank you to Domingo and crew, you were absolutely essential in us completing this complicated move!

They worked hard from the moment they arrived until the very last item was unloaded, all while staying positive, professional, and taking great care of our belongings. Booking: I sent an inquiry directly with the company due to their stellar reviews, and they were able to schedule me in for my preferred time/day. Moving: the two movers, Herman and Aleksei, were incredibly efficient and very sweet/patient throughout the move. I appreciate that they handled both my expensive & economical items delicately. Also, I wasn't completely prepared on my end with the move such as knowing details like where to park for loading/unloading or even which items to move vs discard, which I had been dreading for weeks. However, thanks to their expertise and versatility, the move was stress-free. And a huge shoutout to Herman for his guidance and coordination that really ensured a seamless experience. Paid a little over 2.5k to move a 630 sq ft 1b/1b 3 miles and had 3, and eventually 4 movers. Overall I'd say it was good, not great When I scheduled I explained I had two walkins with lots of clothes - they assigned me three people when I likely needed more as I had a walkup. We ended up totally missing the window for the move which is more my fault but I had asked the people who confirmed if they felt it was reasonable. They helped move the hanging items (which I expect) and had me pitch in to pack the glass despite having asked for them to send someone to do this. It's not an issue but I do think there was a general lack of communication bw the movers and the ppl who helped book that made the day less efficient than it could have been. I'm happy to pack those things as it gave me an outlet for my moving anxiety and saves me time ofc but even without packing glass it still took 9 hours When I realized we were pretty behind it was very easy to get someone else last minute at noon, so that was helpful and everyone coordinated quickly to make it happen. All the guys were also very respectful and carefully wrapped my furniture (table, 4 chairs, coffee and side table, large tv, bed and heavy lifting frame, chair desk and small wine fridge). I think I have a lot crammed in to a 1B and was overall a good experience, though not quite as smooth or efficient as my previous SF moves Pros: Crew is friendly Didn't break anything, including my fancy stemware Cleaned up after themselves removing wrap and paper Very efficient by helping me add an extra mover at a reasonable cost ($50hr) Cons: Timing ended up being totally off :( not their fault completely but I tried to communicate several times during booking I had a small elevator window and a lot of stuff Pretty pricey for a 1 bed 3 mile move
