Went there on Monday November 18, 2019. Picked Juniors because of good reviews and...now I'm adding mine. I always believe that if a restaurant can't make breakfast taste good, they have no place being open. Junior's exceeded that standard and made breakfast phenomenal. Had simple scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns with sour dough toast. The hash browns were perfect, crispy outside and creamy delicious inside. Bacon, crisp and crunchy. Eggs...fresh and fluffy. Although this is one of the favorite valley restaurants, I've never been a huge fan. This is just my personal opinion, please don't hate me! Parking is in a dirt lot behind the restaurant, so there is plenty. However, the actual restaurant is fairly small- but I guess it is a cafe isn't it? There is limited seating, but they provide bar seating and a menu while you wait. Menu is pretty standard. There isn't a whole lot of variety, but it's not lacking. For me, the food quality, however, isn't anything I would write home about. I once had their broccoli cheddar soup I think? I ordered only a cup and I did not finish it /: I hate to write anything negative but it's my honest opinion. Anything I ate was more just to fill me up and leave than to satiate a need for great food. The hours are also pretty short, but that is normal for a cafe. All around it is not my favorite place to go to in town, but I won't cry about it if a friend wants to meet there for lunch. 3/5 read more

Junior's was the first, er actually the second place (the first was actually Camachos) I was taken to eat upon arriving in (h)el centro. What an introduction! Friendly owner - I actually feel pretty bad about the two stars - who brought our table a nice dessert. Average diner style food - read: ick - but still not the cause of the two stars. Jrs gets the rating primarily for its cleanliness . . . or shall I say lack of. I literally have never seen a dirtier restaurant, not even on islands. Ahh, Juniors. This is a little gem that unassumingly sits off the side of the road in El Centro. For the valley, this place earns a solid 4 stars. There is a big shortage of decent restaurants in the Valley and this place serves some good food. It tastes homemade, and I would much rather eat here than spend twice the money to eat overprocessed food from IHOP or Denny's (how do they manage to make eggs and pancakes taste processed??). Which brings me to the next plus: the prices. You cannot beat the prices at Juniors. The portions are great also. I haven't tried everything on the menu, so I can't speak for all the dishes, but I love the Machaca breakfast burrito and they have some good french toast as well. read more

Junior's Cafe is a fantastic place for breakfast in El Centro. We don't have all that many choices in this small city, but we really don't need them when we have a place like Junior's to go to. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy, but you can't really go wrong with anything on their breakfast menu. I only wish they were open later. read more

I've been a long time customer and fan of Junior's Cafe. Although EVERYTHING on the menu is great, I usually order the same thing: two eggs and sausage with biscuits and gravy for breakfast or the chicken fried chicken salad if I go in the afternoon. Always try the soups - they are fantastic! My favs: Turkey gumbo, lentil sausage, potato and cheese. If it's not too busy when you go in... try ordering something off the menu, Carlos just might oblige :) Love it! read more

Stopped in for a bite while on a road trip. Nice staff, clean area, and delicious food! The corn tortillas were so good. I had the Huevos Rancheros and I was very content with my choice. Because I'm from NM I'm not used to salsa-like chile, but it was delish. Just the right amount of heat, and great flavor. The beans and potatoes were a little too greasy for my liking but they were tasty.My folks were happy I talked them out of Dennys and driving a little further for some local flavor. We drove a little out of our way while passing through El Centro to get to Junior's because of positive Yelp reviews. Very disappointing. The service, while very efficient, reflected their motto (which they proudly sell on tee-shirts for $15). "Eat, pay and get out!" I ordered a caesar salad and my husband asked for a BLT. The server was downright intimidating, but our food came quickly. My salad was drowned in dressing and the corn muffin on the side was oily and overly sweet. Terrible combo. The home-made croutons were the best thing on the dish. The BLT, according to my husband was "the most basic BLT, ever". No panache, and oddly heavy on the bacon. It looked very pale, though the fries were tasty. Unfortunately, they repeated on us all day. Maybe the oil? Overall, the food was just bleh. The room is very loud when busy and the service, when not frightening, was indifferent. If you want fast food that isn't a corporate chain. This will do. read more

I wasn't overly impressed with this place. The chicken was a little dry, "vegetables" means corn, and "dressing on the side" means slathered all over. Service was good and when a dining mate had an issue with their chicken the guy immediately brought out a new one. Good as a regular joe cafe so don't expect anything more than that. This review is for the catering service. I placed an order for my wife surprise birthday party and they were the on time (which is key for a surprise party). The food was outstanding and the portions here very large. Guest had 2 or 3 servings of spaghetti and meatballs and we still had plenty leftover. Also had grilled vegetables that we so flavorful. Only four stars because the staff is initially inattentive but once you order they are great. Food is excellent (at least the breakfast). I had two eggs, hash browns and a side of gravy. My friend had an omelet and sad it was some of the best food he's had in El Centro. He had just been there for 10 days.
