    Half order of huevos ranchereo

Nice place to stop on the way to Arizona, near Highway 8. It is not right next to the highway, but worth a few minute drive to this place. Friendly spot and a true locals place, with lots of people knowing each other. We settled into an order of huevos rancheros (1/2 order) and a chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast. Both items were solid and hit the spot for covering us on the remainder of the road trip to Arizona. Pretty big parking lot in the back if you don't get one of the prime spaces in front. There is also a backdoor that people use so they don't have to walk all the way around to the front of the building along the street.

everything i've tried here has been delicious, busy during lunch time, but service is still great. The only place in in el Centro to get old school food.

Stay away from the chilaquilas. I ate half of my husband's toast. I should have saved my $10

On our way to Arizona, stopped here for breakfast. My husband had the chicken fried steak and eggs, it was delicious. Whatever you do stay away from the chilaquilas. It was awful! 4 tortilla chips with spaghetti sauce, too much shredded cheese. This place is busy, so I think they just need to stick to American food, definitely remove chilaquilas from the menu.

Make sure you ask for all the things you need to at the window because everything is inside napkins , utensils extra sauces otherwise young ladies there are annoyed with you at the window. I felt like apologizing to them for their - inconvenience -when I was the customer . Maybe a better method for this maybe they are overwhelmed due to running from window to drive through . Other than my overseen inconveniences to others / which are minor but important details as a customer it's really a great spot . Try it out you won't be disappointed There are two tables outside but more of a drive thru than sit down . I also grabbed a strawberry match that was pretty tasty and hubby grabbed a craft energy with guava which was so refreshing .

They conveniently have a drive thru, so that's a plus. They also have a walk up window, but maybe a table or two outside. There's no indoor area so this isnt really a place to sit and enjoy your coffee. The staff was really nice and even gave us some recommendations. We got a couple of lattes and they were really good! Since they make the espresso fresh, the iced coffee wasn't ice cold but I didnt mind that too much. I will definitely continue to stop by this place whenever im in town!

Mom had a Californian Omelette, which was great, cooked well, but was a bit too large for her - we took the rest home and I had it the next day. I had a diet soda, Mom had a Bloody Mary. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal which was great in proportion and super flavorful. Never really had tacos for breakfast but these were quite tasty. If I ever go back think I'll try them with out the cornmeal taco as that was a bit heavy for me but it could've been just my preference. The service was spot on, not just our waitress asked were we good but several other passing service members and that is not something I'm used to. If I find myself back in California again in this neck of the woods I would love to come here again maybe for lunch because breakfast was a home run. Thank you from this little Virginian that loves flavorful yummy food.
