First timers here and we were excited to try a local coffee shop. We ordered a cold brew and Mexican mocha, iced. The drinks arrive and when we went to take a sip, the smell of spoiled rotten milk hit us. My friend said hers tasted like alcohol. She went inside and asked the barista to smell it and he insisted the milk was fine and said the simple syrup had expired. He made her another drink but it was just the same. I only drank about 1/8 of mine and my stomach hurt so bad a couple hours later. Worst coffee I've ever had. The outside seating was also really dirty, like no one had sat there in months and staff didn't bother to clean. read more

BEST WAFFLES EVER!!! They're lighy and fluffy and everything you could ask for in a waffle. I had a hazelnut latte and it was also great. Service was AMAZING. It's a small cozy place where you will feel welcomed and pay about the same, if not less than going to a mainstream breakfast place. read more

So off the beaten path is a quaint place to have more of a continental breakfast. Mostly served bagels scones and they did have waffles. No real cooking going on . Pretty much pop in the microwave and heat it up. The location is inside the courtyard of the Christian church. You will prolly have to call to get directions if you don't already know this. The bagel was good and they did have cream cheese. My husband got an instant oatmeal which he liked. But if your looking for a hearty. Type of breakfast this would not be the place to come. If you're in a hurry and want instant stuff then you have found the right place. It really is more of a coffee shop and the coffee was good. So I'm in the valley delivering another batch of paintings for Our Lady Of Guadalupe church and I wanted my coffee fix. Since I'm kind of a coffee snob Starbucks was not my first choice, so I did a quick YELP search for coffee shops and Anazao Coffee Company came up. I have to admit that the name itself enticed my curiosity and off I went in search of the lost coffee shop that Hernan Cortez wasn't able to find. Now I know why: I was under the impression that this place had a store front next to Willie's Donuts or the DMV but I was way off. My poor smart phone earned itself a big F for failing to find this place. So I went old school and in a not so Manly fashion I asked for directions. It turns out that this place was inside/outside of a Christian Church. I should have been praying to find this place not relying on my not so smart phone! From the outside of this place it would appear as though one would be entering either a child's daycare or a big confessional room. However, once you enter the place it transforms into a legit coffee shop with some incredibly friendly Xxxistas. No, not like that cochinos I can't use the word BAR in Baristas to describe the coffee maidens, it would be a sin! This place was heavenly! I had a large serving of the house coffee and I definitely tasted the love. Because I needed my sugar fix and they only serve waffles for breakfast, the choice was made for me it felt like pre-destination. I went with the Patriot that comes with Strawberries, Blueberries, homemade whip cream and love from above. The coffee in this joint makes Starbucks coffee taste like recycled coffee at a truck stop! The combination of the great coffee with the sweet waffle made Starbucks look like hell and I definitely don't want to go there! The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that they are only open until 11 am and the reason I know this is because I went back for seconds and the pearly gates were closed. I guess they saved me from sinning with another large coffee and a great waffle! My suggestion for this place is to open up more hours and a 5th star will come down on Anazao Coffee Company in El Centro. read more
