The service and breakfast sandwich/burrito were delicious. I experienced the feeling of clean food-not greasy and full of preservatives. The sausage they serve is very good!! I wish I could have bought some of the in house roasted Colombian coffee. Very smooth not acidic. They were running low on the last roast. Next time I will call a few weeks ahead and order a pound. Excellent service. I had a turkey club and it came with a side salad. The ingredients were very fresh and it tasted delicious, tiny bit spicy with the jalapeño aïoli. It balanced nicely with the iced chai tea latte which was particularly good as well. read more

Found this little coffee cafe along our way back from the El Centro Blue Angels Airshow and wanted give it a try. Very clean establishment. They have lots of different flavors of coffee and they pride themselves on being an independent roasters in the valley. We tried their passion tea sweetened and it hit the spot. Next we sampled the avocado toast with bacon, "tasty " my girl tried the English toast- might want to ask to have the toast a little more on the warmed up side but she still enjoyed it. The Mexican Iced Coffee with creamer and the blueberry scone are so good! I'm normally not a huge fan of scones either but I'm glad I tired this one. The Mexican ice coffee was also very good. The drink wasn't too strong and had just the right amount of creamer. The service was very good and the inside was very clean. This cafe used to be better when it was less popular. Couple years back, we were consistently the only customers and they made us awesome breakfast burritos and sandwiches. However, since all the new condos have been built and their business has picked up, the quality and quantity of food has gone down pretty drastically. My breakfast burrito was maybe 2/3 of the previous size and barely had any fillings, similar experience with sandwiches and service was much slower. Coffee is still good and its a nice place overall. Salsa here is amazing for the breakfast burrito. read more

I've been a couple times when I've gone to go visit family in the area. The coffee is actually good and the customer service is good too. I got the ham and cheese croissant sandwich and that was good. My husband got a breakfast burrito and he said it definitely needed more meat. It barely had a few pieces. Only issue was soooo many flies inside but I'm assuming that's because it's hot as hell out there and they make their way inside for the AC. read more

So I went inside and asked for a large iced caramel Machiatto. I WAITED 40 MINUTES FOR ONE COFFEE. There were 2 young ladies working there and despite more customers coming in an ordering they were very slow. One was in the back and the other was taking orders and making coffees at the same time You guys need more workers because this ain't it. The Mexican iced coffee was super good! The cinnamon taste was not too overwhelming sweet. I wish was coffee was a little stronger though! The savory sausage burrito and loaded croissant were extremely delicious! I learned that their salsa, jalapeño aioli, and sausage are all homemade! Would definitely return for some more salsa :) The service was a little bit slow but the workers apologized and offered us a free confetti scope (which was homemade as well!). Super nice of them! I visit my family every couple of months and with limited cafes with a great space and coffee in the Valley, I usually head to 3:16 Cafe to work from. They have a great selection of coffee and food, however, as a non-religious person, I find it incredibly disheartening how many conversations I overhear that are filled with so much hatred towards immigrants and the LGBTQ community. A pastor sitting at the table across from me was making fun of Calexico's mayor, who is non-binary. If this cafe supports EVERYONE in the community, I hope they would place signs supporting the LGBTQ and immigrant communities - especially as a border town filled with immigrants. I find it astonishing how small-minded the religious community is sometimes when they should be accepting of everyone and provide a safe space for all. read more

To be fair, I really really wanted to like this place because of how much promise it seemed to have. The interior was super cute and really inviting, but the drinks we had were just not up to par. I dropped by this cafe on a Saturday afternoon to grab coffee with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the inside looked. My friend ordered the dark chocolate mocha and I went with the matcha green tea latte. Our drinks took a biiit long to come out, but we weren't really in a rush and didn't mind the wait. However, both drinks were somewhat tepid and lukewarm and really weren't the hot coffee drinks that we had both been looking forward to. Upon notifying the staff that our drinks were a bit under temperature for us both, we were told that they could microwave both drinks in the back. Tastewise, the mocha was definitely better than the matcha green tea latte, but both drinks were a bit underwhelming. I'm not sure if the issues during my visit can be chalked up to needing better training for the staff, but I feel like this may be something that can be looked into so that other customers don't have a similar problem. I may give this place another chance in the future, but it's definitely not at the top of my list currently. read more
