Junia Cafe is truly a gem in Gardena. It's a beautiful space--thoughtfully designed, warm, and inviting--and it's become one of my go-to spots. I honestly come here 2-3 times a week, and it never disappoints. The drinks are consistently delicious, and their current hot chocolate with Earl Grey cream is to die for. It's one of those drinks you keep thinking about long after you've finished it. You can really tell everything is made with care and intention. The staff and owners are the definition of hospitality--welcoming, kind, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It's the kind of place where you feel remembered and appreciated, not just served. Parking is easy too. If you can't snag a spot right in front of the cafe, there's always plenty of parking just around the block, only a one-minute walk away. If anything, the occasional lack of parking just shows how much the community loves this place. Even if you're not in the area, Junia Cafe is absolutely worth the drive. Highly recommend. read more

Love the ambiance and space. Came during new years and it was packed, for foos reason. Interior was clean, minimal yet intentional. We got the orange espresso tonic and matcha grey. Tonic was great, light citrus aftertaste that subtly lingers in the back of your throat. Matcha grey was tasty - strong matcha flavor with that sweetness from the earl grey cream. It is a smaller size given it's a matcha cortado, but they're transparent about it so please don't assume it'd be bigger! They use 3g of high quality matcha for that smaller size - I think the ratio works out well. read more

I love that they opened in South Bay, not a lot of good matcha and coffee spots compared to Ktown. This cafe is so cute with a good amount of seating. The workers are so welcoming and friendly. We came on Thanksgiving and 20% of proceeds get donated to volunteers of South Bay, what a good cause. It was my first time having an Earl Grey Matcha and it didn't disappoint, though it was a small cup I prefer a stronger matcha. My new favorite spot!! I'm honestly obsessed. The space is stunning with tons of seating and the prettiest natural light pouring in. It's one of those places where you can sit with your coffee, people watch, or get some work done and actually feel inspired. Their menu is so good too. My boyfriend got a pour over and I ordered the earl grey cream matcha. Yes, the portions are a little smaller compared to other cafés, but the quality blows everyone else out of the water. The earl grey matcha was perfect and super balanced with the slight sweetness from the cream. My boyfriend loved his pour over so much he finished it before I could even try a sip, which says everything. I also grabbed an almond croissant and they warm it up for you. That is a bonus point for me because most places don't. It was delicious and packed with almond filling. The staff was amazing too. They were friendly and really knowledgeable about the menu. Visited again last week and was underwhelmed. I noticed the cream was kept in squeeze bottles, and baristas used their thumbs to cover the opening/spout while shaking them which felt unsanitary Came again to try the matcha earl grey but it really wasn't anything special, and for the price ($6 plus tax) it definitely wasn't worth it. Junia Café is such a cute new spot in Gardena! The vibe is totally my style -- industrial-chic, modern, airy, and spacious. Even though parking is definitely limited, once you're inside it feels open and comfortable. I loved that I didn't feel crowded or overwhelmed at all. There's plenty of seating for people waiting and for anyone who wants to sit down and study or get work done. I came specifically for their matcha and they did not disappoint. The matcha latte was beautiful and had a bold flavor -- perfect if you love strong matcha. If you prefer it sweeter, I'd just ask! My absolute favorite was their matcha cortado with the earl grey cream top. It's a smaller portion (since cortados are meant to be), but wow... it was amazing!! I also tried one of their apple danishes, which was delicious! I don't think they warmed it up, and I forgot to ask, but honestly it was still really good! Came thru on a random day to try this coffee shop. My first impression was that it had a simple industrial vibe to it. Parking was in the street and seemed to fill up fast (thats pretty much anywhere in LA county these days) and can be a challenge if students or other patrons or even neighboring business don't take it up. The drink I tried was their matcha gray which came in smaller cup. They informed me since it was my first time trying it they wanted to focus on the richness of the matcha , that is the reason for the smaller cup. Wanted to love it, but consistency matters This was my third visit and each time I've gone in hoping this would be the one where it clicks. It hasn't. At least not yet. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk. Simple order, but unfortunately the execution has been the weak spot every visit. The baristas seem to be missing attention to detail, which is especially noticeable given the open-concept setup where you can watch drinks being made. On all three visits, my latte was made with whole milk instead of the requested (and charged) oat milk. After the catch, they fixed it but If you're dairy-sensitive or lactose intolerant, I'd strongly recommend watching your drink as it's prepared. Pricing is another factor. Drinks cost noticeably more than Starbucks, yet the portion size and overall quality don't quite justify the difference. That said, the space itself is genuinely nice, clean, thoughtfully designed, and a decent option if you're looking to sit and work or meet a friend. I'm giving this 4 stars for now because they're still new and I want to leave room for growth. The potential is there so hopefully they work on the attention to detail. read more

Another new matcha spot in the south bay ! And one with quality matcha . We got here around noon and there was a small line outside the door which moved along pretty quick. The smell of the coffee was so gooood soon as you walk in. Everyone inside was also very nice and helpful with everything. I got a matcha Grey and the girl was nice to explain what it is before I got it since it was my first time. Its basically a shot ? Of matcha with earl Grey foam on top ( i got it bc it was the most photos I saw on yelp lol). It was really good ! I wish I had more when I finished it lol. Cute coffee shop. Toasted vanilla latte is good. However menu situation is weird. Recommend having the menu posted on the wall INSIDE or have additional ones for customers in line while they wait. They won't allow you to hold the menu clipboard even standing a couple feet from the register, they will take it from you like you will run off with it and ask you to walk back OUTSIDE to look at the menu posted at the entrance. read more

Honestly theres a few cafes that actually invest in high quality matcha with a decent price point. It is really really good matcha some of the best i have had!! I do ask them for an extra shot otherwise it taste light to me, wish cafes in their normal recipe just put an extra shot so i wouldnt have to ask for it each time lol Only downside is the size is small (12 oz) for regular matcha latte (i am used to 16 oz) and then their earl grey latte which they are known for is literally a sample size, two sips and NOT worth the price. The earl grey syrup was v good but they dont allow it to be put in the regular 12 oz which makes no sense... anyway But i keep coming back for their regular matcha latte despite the size because of quality. So if you are like me and think 12 ox is small then dont go for the earl grey one because its even smaller lol i put both size photos but look at that COLOR of the 12 oz you just know its going to be good. read more

If you are passionate about cafe drinks you will be pleasantlyyyy surprised to find that they serve an earl grey matcha cortado here... A cortado is equal parts milk and espresso, so in nature it's smaller in size compared to the average latte. You shouldn't expect this to be a matcha latte with earl grey cream specifically, because conceptually a cortado and a latte have different ratios of espresso (in this case, matcha) and cream/milk. Cortados are therefore offered in smaller cups, versus lattes being your typical regular or large-sized drink. With this being said, I LOVE the idea of an earl grey cream paired with matcha. This is such a unique gem of a menu item and I appreciate that it is offered here. I also really really love their sandwich here?! Their food items (not the pastries at the front) are available from 10-2 so I exclusively prioritize coming during those hours to make sure I get the sandwich before kitchen closes hahaha.
