4 stars because the service is very friendly 3 for the food? ambiance is like a home. Tried raw marinated crabs and soodubue both good but it was lacking flavour. for the price of the crabs it's not bad !

Came here to try the infamous raw marinated crabs. They were definitely smaller than I was picturing but 2 orders was still enough for 2 people with rice and all the other side dishes. The spicy version was actually quite spicy for me as someone who doesn't handle spicy too well. I preferred the soy marinated crab flavour. I found it hard to eat any of the crab legs. There are gloves available as it does get pretty messy - although they were so thin that the sauce went through the gloves. Would love to come back and get this again, just wish the size was a bit bigger.

Definitely a hidden gem for authentic Korean food. This is the place for marinated Korean crab (Ganjang Gejang) in Toronto. I always order the crab in their house special soy sauce. The place is run by a warm and welcoming Korean family, and their food comes in great portions. Besides the Ganjang Gejang, I will also recommend their tofu soup which goes well with the cold crab dish.

Homey Korean restaurant serving raw marinated crabs. I came just to try the crabs and it was a good experience, although they were quite small for the price. It was hard to eat the legs. All the food was alright and nothing really stood out, but I enjoyed the variety of banchan and the great service here. -1 star because we then ordered the crabs for delivery on another occasion and I got very sick from eating it. I didn't feel well and threw up after. Not sure if the crabs weren't fresh that day or if it was due to delivery but I think they should restrict the crabs to dine in only just in case. Be careful. I'd come back again to try their other Korean food but not the crabs.

Aside from Japanese food that's the first thing come to mind when I dine out, Korean food would be the second most chosen cuisine for myself in Toronto Yea you heard it right And for Korean food, I always go for #gamjatang or pork bone soup. But there's one delicacy that I'm longing for a try, and that is the #gejang - raw marinated crab! Heard that this place serves the best marinated crab in town, I knew I must give it a try! There are actually two types of GeJang in the menu - one marinated with their secret soy sauce, and the other marinated in hot spicy sauce. Given the cold weather, I opted for the hot sauce At first sight, I thought it would be super spicy, and would overpower the freshness of the crab. But I'm glad that I was wrong The hot sauce itself was not super spicy, instead it adds a bit of sweetness and spicyness to the crab. The crab itself, wow, it's dynamite! You can easily taste the freshness and the sweetness, along with the sauce that empowers the crab, delicious To round up my meal, gamjatang is what you can expect What's better than a hot bowl of soup in a freezing weather and after a delicious raw crab? Nothing other than the sizzling pork bone soup

The best raw crab I ever had! I'm usually not a crab person but this was amazing and one of their true specialities. The restaurant was busy and people seemed willing to wait so that's usually a good sign. I'm glad we had two orders because I definitely wanted my own after taking my first bite. The crabs were well cleaned, meat was perfectly marinated and presentation was great. We also had the galbi tang which was a bit on the sour side for me but the crabs itself is definitely worth coming for!

I don't live in Toronto so I was confused. I went to this one by mistake since my gps brought me here. I would say this a an average Korean restaurant. If you like Korean foods then you can try it. We ordered short ribs, soy crab, spice crab and stir fried squid. The best dish was the spicy crab. The rest was just ok. I paid 125 for the 4 items which I thought was average. The service was pretty slow. I don't know what they have to do with the raw crab but it took them maybe 15-20 minutes to take it out and then another 10 minutes to take out banchan. We then had to wait longer for the rice. That meant we sat for at least 15 minutes just staring at the food with no rice to eat it with. I didn't even take pictures of the other 2 things cuz ppl were too hungry so we just dig in. We came in when they had maybe 2 tables at around 6. We left at close to 8.

I was starting to get really hangry and irritated after walking around the city all day. We started with Korean beer and shots of Jinro Is Back Soyu. It was a good idea. Overall the food was quite good. I recommend everyone to check this restaurant out for themselves. The Korean pancake with seafood and vegetables was huge and much crispier than the one I've tried before. My beef tartare bibimbap was perfect. Just thinking about it makes me want to have it right now. The sizzling hot plate with pork and squid also looked very impressive. It must have been delicious as well, because one of my companions ate the whole thing with no problem. Hence we entered Jin Dai Lae. Good decision (yes, I am patting my back). Entree pricing was $3 to $4 lower than Markham/Richmond Hill. Portion was so big that you would be full, and might have to doggy bag. Most importantly, food tasted good. Short ribs stew had many pieces of beef. Squids hot plate was saucy. It wasn't too spicy, so it was good for me (menu didn't have a chilli sign either). For people who like it hot, you can ask for some chilli sauce.
