Came here on a Monday lunch. Been hearing great things about their marinated crab, and cold noodles Food: - Korean Spicy Cold Noodles. Came here on a hot day, so it was super refreshing to order. The tangy, spicy soup base was mild, and fresh with veggies beef and egg. Yummy, and delightful. - Marinated half/half gejang. Half soy sauce marinated crab & half spicy marinated crab. It was sooooo good. My first time having marinated crab and it did not disappoint! I would recommend this for sure. Sauces were complimentary to the crab flavour. The spicy sauce is the one I preferred and enjoyed. Highly recommend ordering this in season! - King Tonkatsu. Pork cutlet served with brown sauce. Tbh I've had better, I would stick with the soups & crabs on the menu. If you want added protein go for it! HUGE portion to share. Brown sauce is mild, served with rice. Service: attentive and quick. Friendly and polite :) was not busy on the day we came in, so we were attended to in a timely manner. Ambiance: casual, tables for groups of 2-6. Bright natural light. Parking: beside the strip of restaurants there is free parking. Overall, would definitely come back, and recommend to friends!

I really enjoyed the cold noodles here. They were nicely prepared, with great flavor and the perfect noodle texture - chewy without being too firm. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, making it a nice place to dine. The service was attentive throughout the meal as well. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.

After hearing good things about Naju, I finally got a chance to try it myself! Had dinner here on a Thursday evening. When we arrived we were seated right away. The server was super friendly and checked in with us periodically to refill our sides and make sure we were okay. Great service here! The restaurant itself is located at the plaza at steeles, east of woodbine. On the other side of steels from J-town. Plenty of parking. Inside is clean and spacious with enough tables to serve decent size groups. Decor is also clean and simple and nothing too fancy. I felt that you can have a casual meal here. The menu itself is extensive but not overly so. I think they're known for their gookbap (soup and rice dishes) so I went with their original beef gookbap and I have to say it was as tasty as the gookbap I had in Seoul. Super flavourful, hot and the meat was tender and tasty. Even my friend had a taste and immediately said he'd come back for that too. We also ordered the kimchi jeonggal (kimchi stew?) with tonkatsu, marinated raw crab, kimchi pancake and tteokgalbi. Everything was really good and we immediately said we'd come back for the food here. I want to try the rest of their menu! Recommended 10/10

Raw marinated crab (half/half) and shrimp

Just ok! The food was fairly disappointing considering the value and I don't think I'll be returning. I came here with 2 friends on Sunday for dinner and the place was surprisingly pretty empty. We were all craving raw marinated crab which is why we ended up here, along with hearing about this spot recently opening and wanting to try somewhere new. We ordered a plate of half/half raw marinated crab plus marinated shrimp to share, and our own mains. I got the gomtang. We were disappoint by the crab. Unfortunately, they weren't super meaty and lacking some flavour. Squeezing one half of the body only really gave me a spoonful. The soy sauce marinade used for both the crab and shrimp in general was pretty bland. I tried to dip it in the sauce further just to see what the flavour was but still didn't taste much. The broth of the gomtang was yummy and cozy... I enjoyed the hint of sweetness it had. But I feel the portion was on the stingy side. I wish it had more noodles and substance to it. The beef was nice and tender but they were very thin. You wouldn't be able to just have that on its own and be full. However, my friends really enjoyed their mains -- the tteokbokki (I tried it as well and the sauce was amazing... of the best I've had) and soontofu (which I did not try). Overall, it seems they have mastered a few select dishes but the items we were excited to come for fell short. The cost for our meal was just over $50 per person after tax and tip which is up there for a meal that didn't hit the mark. Their service was pleasant and attentive but my cravings weren't completely satisfied after. I'll be trying another competing spot nearby for their crab next.

Came here for dinner on a weds night and it was pretty empty, we got a seat fairly quickly. We ordered the half/half marinated crab, the pork bone soup and beef patties. The marinated crab was well seasoned and had a good taste. The pork bone soup was different from what I was used to but it was good and flavourful, however the pork bone was not fall of the bone meat. The beef patties were delicious! I absolutely loved them, they reminded me of kalbi without the bone! Overall very tasty and the staff came by to check to make sure that everything was ok and if we needed additional side dishes. FYI: 5 star reviews may be because of the promo they offer which gives dumplings or pop.

    Seolleongtang & Kimchi Jeongol

Went for an early dinner today. I ordered the Seolleongtang (설렁탕) which was very good! Seasoning was spot on. My friend ordered the Kimchi Jeongol and enjoyed it very much as well. Not spicy, but well-rounded in flavour. Service was great and the place is very clean!

New Korean spot at this plaza! Minimalist decor. Nice and bright in the afternoon. I was not able to try their marinated crabs since it was sold out. But tried the shrimp and galbi tang was delicious. Love their kimchi as well as they were not very tart, just how i like it

Pork bone soup. They use beef broth for all soups.

Tried a new Korean place and it was pretty good! Their soups are all made from beef broth. Service was attentive and the vibe was casual and modern. They have only tables of 4 so if your party is more than 4, be prepared to squish someone in on a side chair. We loved the side dishes and I heard that the crab was excellent! Pair it with a soup and it's quite good :) I had the pork bibimbap. I think they could have put more veggies and the pork was a little dry, but otherwise it was tasty! Would recommend, but I hope they have more non-beef options.

The cold noodles and bulgogi combo was delicious, especially on a hot summer day. We went here during lunch hour, and it wasn't too packed - service was great as well! Our food came out quickly, and there was a good amount of noodles and meat. The restaurant is located in an area with lots of parking, which is free for 3 hours. Although a bit pricey, the food is worth it!

First time coming here, we didn't order much as we tend to order a lot and end up having to pack it home. We ordered only 3 dishes, and I would have to say, the pancake and raw crabs were decent. For the raw crabs, the sauce could be stronger, but everyone's taste is different. The soup was great; it is one of my favorite soups, so I had to try it. The service was not bad, but they were busy and kept running around. We did get half the things we asked for, but it's all good. The noise level is decent as well, and I would come back for the soup and maybe try other things on the menu.

So not only were we stressing about our first born, but personally I was also very stressed for my wife as I wanted to make sure she had a good recovery (as per traditional Cantonese ways). I can make some soups myself, but I just couldnt imagine being able to find the time. When we found Let's Soup we were elated as this was exactly what we were looking for in the GTA - A traditional Asian (Chinese) herbal soup place! Lets Soup is located at the corner of Yonge and 16th avenue on the South East corner at the base of the condo building. This is a very small store that is strictly for take out. When we first came to order it took about 15 minutes to prepare. We ended up ordering via messages on their Instagram account and was never disappointed with their service. Honestly I literally can not think of any other place that exists in the GTA (at least when we were looking) that offered this kind of service - Outside of hiring a "lai ma" to come and cook and cook for us. This was the next best thing and it was an absolute god send. I dont deny though, everyones taste is different, raised differently and of course different experiences with food and cooking. Unfortunately, I dont think there is any restaurant out there that can truely replace a parents cooking thats made with love - But Lets Soup is an extremely close second. My wife and I purchased some soup to try them out, and was happy enough that we decided to get the full "post partum recovery" set (pre paid for a set number of soups at a slight discount) So we had the chance to try many of their soups. Serving size was more then enough for 2 adults or one very hungy wife that just gave birth :) This was absolutely perfect for us, and we still went back even after we had the package to pick up more soups. I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend this place, as honestly what other places can compare? This is almost a one of a kind service in the GTA as far as I am aware On top of all this, I had nothing but excellent service every time I went. They were always friendly and happy, offered lots of advice for having a first child and were just over all awesome. I hope they can continue to improve and grow. Keep up the good work!

Most places only have those egg drop soups to buy (at least in rhill), which I'm not a big fan of. One of my favourites in general is the pork bone watercress soup and if you've ever handled watercress, you'd know it is a pain to clean so if I'm lazy, I'll buy that here. Great soups! I've been ordering a couple of times already and the soups are quite consistent. Such a cute mom n pop shop - they even cut their carrots into flowers! They got the Chinese mom approval from my mom if that helps. You also get fortune cookies! Side note: order ahead because you don't want to or even have an opportunity to park in this plaza while you wait and might have to go all the way around the first time since there's limited space (idk who planned this area but we have beef now).

The yelp and google fam did me right by giving this place a great review. I honestly didn't read any reviews, I just saw the 5 star and I was so pleasantly surprised to see that this place is a Korean owned mom and pop shop with the NICEST owners. Their kitchen caught my eye as I stood at the front counter. It displayed well used traditional korean cookware with a large wok as a center piece. This place isn't fancy but it has an adorable quaint charm to it. I didn't know what to order so I asked for their recommendation. The pop of the shop is so nice and explained everything on the menu to me with an understandable pleasant Korean accent. He was especially proud of their fishball soup that comes with the meal and he had good reason to be! After ordering in person he allowed me to wait at my car as he brought the meal when it was ready. It was only about 5 mins wait he came out and I met him half way saying one of 2 Korean phrases I know "!" and he was so happy as we bowed to each other after the exchange. It put a big smile on my face too lol. I decided on spicy chicken cup bap and omg when I got home I was so pleasantly surprised by the smells and flavors. I noticed I couldn't smell the food on the car ride home but when I opened up the package and spread out the spoils on my counter all the delicious aromas invaded my nose. The soup had the sharpest and alluring smell. It's a clear soup that reminded me of the Chinese soups I grew up consuming after a meal and it made my mouth water. I'm surprised I restrained myself long enough to have even taken a photo for this review. For $11 you get a nice portion of spicy gochujang chicken with arugula salad, tomatoes, japchae and rice at the bottom which was necessary to soak up the chicken's spicy sweet sauce! I was actually so happy eating it. The rice was cooked perfectly. The main dish paired with the pickled veggies and soothing fishball soup is perfect! So many different flavors, all very intense and all complimenting each other. You just kind of keeping going around eating main, soup, pickled veggies, smiling, and repeating. So much love and care was put into this meal, you really can't help but smile and appreciate it. TIP: You can order by phone. Their online menu is limited so I'd recommend calling! You can also order days ahead and call and order after closing!

The chairs are placed in a lounge with 5-6 other chairs. Overall, a mix of relaxed and painful massage (in a good way!). Next, we went downstairs to the restaurant for lunch. The service was speedy and friendly. The mango salad and crispy shrimp were both really good. As was the pad thai and stir fry spaghetti. The coconut ice cream wasn't very good, and sadly we weren't able to sub it with another dessert. Also got the super cute mango juice that came with some boba balls and bear shaped ice. Overall, it's a great experience and value for $50. The food seems authentic and decent portions for the cost. On one end, it sounds like a run of the mill fast food joint (i.e. In and Out, Coffe Time), but the name doesn't do its Chinese name justice (Chinese name: Wellness Studio). On the other hand, the name does a great job of communicating the nature of its business: takeout and take home home style soup and meal. Regardless if you like their name or not, I think it's a good spot for this type of business. They manage to capture some of the passerbys and nearby white collar workers. On the other hand, it's not a high traffic mall, so the take home meals are a great way of increasing total customer spending. I'm basing this review purely on a takeout lunch of a steamed dried shrimp and preserve sausage and meat rice in lotus leaf. They really do a good job of balancing health and taste. I'm always wary of food that is healthy or healthier, but they end up tasting like cardboard. No such issue here. The rice on the surface looked kind of small. But they really didn't stinch on the preserved sausage and meat. The rice they used was the nice soft jasmine rice. They also purposely mixed in some quinoa. I forgot to mention that the rice also had a decent amount of dried scallop as well. Here are a few suggestions for improvement: A little bit less preserved meat and sausage, while adding more dried shrimp would be nice. The dried mushroom and shrimp can be a bit more aromatic and the lotus leaf flavour transfer can for sure be amped up. The lunch does come with home style boiled Chinese soup (or broth) and a herbal drink. Both of these were excellent. The items at Soup to Go are not cheap. The lunch with tax was just under $20. It is cliche, but you get what you pay for. Feel like drinking soup, but you don't know what is the soup of the day? You can check out their monthly schedule of soups!
