Finally, a great boba shop in the neighborhood! I was so excited when this boba shop opened up! It's the perfect spot for a quick bite or a casual hangout. The interior is super cute and clean, and I love seeing people playing board games. I always order their mango sago, and it's absolutely delicious. The mango is so sweet and fresh. Another favorite of mine is the black sesame latte. Unfortunately, they sometimes run out, but it's definitely worth the wait. The food is also amazing. The pork belly sandwich is my family's go-to, and it's always a hit. We've also tried the popcorn chicken and enjoyed it. I can't wait to try the ramen next! I usually order at the store, but my mom was with me so we decided to do door dash pick up. This place is conveniently located near DVC so it gets busy and filled with people doing school work or socializing. Luckily the weather out here is great so if you can't find a seat, you can sit pretty and enjoy your boba and snacks on the benches outside. I love their mango sago and popcorn chicken. Popcorn chicken is seasoned well, has a great amount of spice and reheats well the next day. I've had it before and it's usually decent but whoever made it today needs to clock out and head home. On top of that they took at least 25 minutes to make 2 drinks and they made neither of them right. I understand that we came during a rush, but regardless, my drink should not have been able to leave that counter and end up in a customer's hand. Maybe it was my fault for coming in on Easter Sunday for my first visit. This place is hidden but when I walked in it was super busy. I go often and sometimes the staff is not friendly and doesn't even say hi, just waits for you to order. 2 for online order because app glitches a lot and is a bit outdated. Even though there's order history under my account, I can't just re-order. App also cannot store payment information or have Apple Pay, probably due to security program. 1 for loyalty program. Even though the app say there is loyalty program, staff says online orders do not qualify. So I go in and order in store but most of the time staffs do not give the receipt with QR code so I'll have to ask for it. I was looking for a quality boba spot to pass by on my roadtrip up to Oregon and holy moly Junenov was the best spot. They have such a bright and modern interior. Cute little secret for social media pics, but nicely spaced out individual tables so people can enjoy their food or grab and go for takeout. Big up on their clean unisex toilets, strong wifi, and large open parking plaza, and big thanks for being dog and kid-friendly! Came by for a quick bite, and was so happy with the variety of their menu for boba and food. I had their soft shell crab onigiri since I wanted something easy to eat on the drive, and the 3G Boba drink with boba, grass jelly and egg pudding. Their soft shell crab was fried to perfection, so light, and easy to eat without making a mess. SO tasty and the ingredients so fresh. It's their tea for me, so perfect, and the 0% is truly what I prefer as a tea lover. THE QUALITY of their topping though, so QQ and great portions. The cup sizes are also on the longer side, and I love that they use high quality matte cups. Let's also talk about service. Came here today in the evening with a friend, and saw this pop out on my feed. Decided to come visit and give it a rating. This is a new boba spot to the area. I like how this is convenient for students who go to DVC or anyone that lives within the area. Parking was easy access, don't have to park far. Went inside and it was clean, menus were given with images and digital menu on the wall if you are unsure what to order. Drinks: Fresh Mango Sago and Jasmine Milk Tea 10/10 If you want something refreshing and sweet, get the mango sago! Jasmine milk tea was great with the soft chewy balls Food: Basil Popcorn Chicken and Unagi Onigiri Popcorn chicken could do better, it was too dry and not crunchy. Wow! I never would have guessed this place has such an extensive food menu, it makes me wonder if they are mis-marketing themselves... I mean I like tea, but they are seriously underselling their fantastic food. I got the unagi/avocado/spam onigiri and black garlic ramen. I usually like a bit more salt in my BGR (not just here but most places I've tried), but after adding that the flavor was just fantastic. The onigiri was right up my alley too. I'm very much looking forward to coming back and trying out more things from the menu. It was a good location... near the college, clean and a nice place to eat. Service was good too, guy at the register was very nice (possibly the owner/manager?) I told him they had a great menu. I also liked that I was able to order everything online and have text message updates. Delicious drinks, tastes just like iTea, and most of the drinks are named the same as iTea. Is Junenov just a fancier iTea? The interior looks really nice- bright and cozy. They also have a food menu, such as buns, snacks, and ramen. I just came for the drinks. One drink that stood out to me was the mochi milk tea. It was also a drink with a star next to it, along with their other milk teas and whatnot. I order it, but they said they don't have it available and it's a coming soon item. Then why is it on the menu and highlighted on the big screen? It wasn't available 4 months ago according to another Yelp review, and it's still "coming soon" as of today. Ugh, I just settled with their 3G milk tea- milk tea with boba, grass jelly, and pudding. Tasted exactly like iTea's 3G milk tea. The other drinks we got tasted like iTea as well. My daughter got her Thai tea and requested oat milk and they were able to do that. That's awesome. Fancy quality boba cups here, nicely Junenov branded. Looks really good. So many good things to say about this place! Parking is great, service is speedy and friendly, Looks super cute inside. The spacing is limited to smaller parties, so it does get a little crowded during peak business hours but otherwise the space is well kept and the atmosphere is pretty chill and loud. The drinks are amazing both in flavor and looks! I really enjoyed trying the cream on top of the Tiramisu latte and the creme brulee. Personally i'm not too great with super sweet drinks, but this place makes the drinks yummy without adding too much sugar. -The tiramisu latte was really good, i did try to have some of the cream on top alone and also by mixing it into my drink. I would say the cream is thick so definitely won't mix well into the drink but still worth the try :). -The creme brulee was delicious, the cream is good by itself but i also tried mixing it and it was easy enough to mix while keeping a nice drink consistency. -The oreo sumuji was tasty! No problems, loved that the consistency was super smooth and not too icy. The flavor was good not too heavy. Overall this place is great for a nice drink. It comes out fast, tasty, and looks great! I haven't had a chance to try the food but i look forward to trying t in the future. Definitely drop by if you're looking for good boba in the pleasanthill/concord area. *This review is for their RAMEN ONLY - for review on drinks, see previous posts* Super Ramen - the picture of this ramen really caught my attention with six slices of chashu instead of the addition of an egg, bamboo shoots and wood ear mushrooms. So I ordered it. If you're a meat lover, this is the ramen you want. The broth was thick and creamy with a strong pork bone flavor. The chashu slices were tender and delicious. The noodles were just decent, but that's expected from a non-ramen shop. Overall I really liked it. Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen - very similar to the Super Ramen, just different toppings (it came with an egg, bamboo shoots and wood ear mushrooms instead of additional chashu slices) and the broth had a good black garlic flavor. Their menu is extensive so it can be a little overwhelming and then there are a few more items on printed menus at the register which can throw a curveball just when you thought you were ready.. We have ordered Chicken Katsu Curry, Sesame Balls, spam Onigiri, and basil popcorn chicken, The Chicken Katsu Curry was soooo good. The batter on the chicken was crispy, flavorful, but not oily or greasy. The curry tasted so authentic and was good quality. Came across Junenov Tea whilst browsing boba spots in the area. I bookmarked them so hard when I saw they had okinawa onigiri! They aren't your typical boba shop that offers just fries and popcorn chicken. You can also get ramen, japanese curry, bao buns, shumai and so much more. I've tried their pork belly onigiri, which was recommended by the owner and it was quite tasty. It's like a sushi sandwich with rice, lettuce, egg, spam and your choose of protein. The priciest onigiri is the soft shell crab, which is what my friend tried and he better have loved it for $13.95. Which he did. My other friends tried their popcorn chicken and calamari. Their popcorn chicken is pretty flavorful, pipping hot and juicy. And the calamari is delish as well. I believe they charge for sauce though. If you order the okonomiyaki fries with short ribs, they'll give you a generous amount of fries and drizzles of sauce. I liked them would reorder again. For their boba drinks I've tried their 3G milk tea and their white peach blossom oolong. The oolong was great but the 3G milk tea was so good I had to get it again. It comes with grass jelly, pudding and boba. The milk tea is smooth and has good flavaflav. The boba consistency is on point. The texture, the bounce, the chew. I likes. My friend got the fresh strawberry mango fruit tea and ordered it again. You have the option to adjust sugar and ice level to your liking. The shop is located across from DVC and there's plenty of parking. Would it make for a good study spot? Yeah, maybe. There's decent amount of seating inside and there are benches outside with fancy string lights that hopefully light up in the evening. The have a single restroom with a urinal on the side! If you're in a picture taking mood they have a fancy sage color upholstered bench with their name above it in gold with a back light! Their decor and branding is next level. Their cups, to-go box, plastic bags and straws all have their logo and color scheme on it. I love the gold and teal, feels so fancy. New favorite boba and Asian food stop! They have an extensive drink menu that's highly customizable with different bobas and jellies, alternative milks, sweet level and ice level. They have lots of food, ranging from ramen to typical boba shop / dim sum snacks (fried sesame balls, XLB dumplings, popcorn chicken, just to name a few!) plus ramen and onigiri. Plenty of parking and the interior is so modern, beautiful, and clean. I am on a no soy and no dairy diet and they were so accommodating and patient in answering questions about the menu. I ordered a spam and egg onigiri and they put a "no soy" note on the order. Then they looked at their egg ingredients and it did have soy in it, so they asked me what I wanted to do, and they kindly put the egg on the side per my request. They're very clear in the ordering process too to ask for customizations and let you know in advance if anything incurs an additional charge. I had the passionfruit tea, 50% sweet with light ice. The drink usually comes with boba and lychee jelly. I don't love boba so they let me substitute that for a different kind of jelly at no charge. Although I have gone by this spot, I never tried. One day our work office did a large order and everything we got was wonderful! I stopped for boba and snacks. Happy I did. The place isn't big but not small. Ample seating and hanging out. Plenty of parking. I enjoyed by boba and would definitely come back. I was here recently and was very put off that I had to wait an extremely long time for my order (longer than usual as I've ordered there many times before). The total wait time was 30 minutes. Between the time that I ordered and when I finally got my order, a couple, a family, and individual guests were all given their items before I was given mine. This was extremely frustrating when I released the couple behind me had ordered the same thing I did, and they got their food about 15 minutes before I got mine. I found this newer boba shop and wanted to come by and try it. It's in a nice location close to the mall and DVC community college. It's a bright spacious space and has plenty of seating. I came here and wanted to try a couple of drinks where they had pics but unfortunately they didn't have it. I ended up trying the creme brulee boba and it was okay, I couldn't taste much of the tea flavor (which I usually prefer) and the creme brulee itself was super thick. I feel ilke they put too much at the top I was just eating creme. I did enjoy their $10 popcorn chicken though, it was pricey but they do give you a lot. I wish Junenov was closer to me! They have such a unique selection of boba drinks. My favorite part is you can customize (sugar, ice & milk type) the specialty drinks.
