My first time trying junbi and wow! Was debating if i should get the new and viral ladd coffee or junbi but ladd line was too long. So glad i went with junbi bc it was so good! I got the hojicha chocolate hazelnut and everything just perfectly balanced. I can taste the hojicha, the chocolate, and the slight hint of nut from the drink. I also did less sweet and it was perfect with the sweet cream top. It also had some crunchy thing inside (toffee??) and it was such a considerate thing to put :)
This place had refreshing matcha that was not overly bitter nor overly sweet. I loved that their classic matcha didn't have milk so I wasn't overpowered by it like which can happen in most matcha latte cases. adding the strawberry flavor to the matcha reminded me of a nice summer drink! Service was quick and fast! Always a big fan of self ordering kiosks. I've been here served al times since my first time and i'm sure i'll continue to visit again!
I tried the new Peanuts collab and ordered a Chocolate Hazelnut Matcha Latte. I ordered it less sweet and with oatmilk. It was so smooth and tasty. Service was friendly and quick. Perfect spot right outside Haven City food hall. Plenty of parking in the shopping center during the week but weekends can get full very fast.
Ah yes, Junbi... just another tea shop... until that ceremonial-grade matcha hits your bloodstream and suddenly you've developed standards!!! You know you're not just getting a drink... you're entering a spiritual experience.... when someone pulls out a bamboo whisk like they're about to summon an ancient tea deity!!! The second that ceremonial-grade matcha hits the bowl and the whisk starts doing its tiny samurai workout, you realize this isn't Starbucks anymore... this is a full-on tea ritual!!! Once you've tasted the good stuff, regular matcha feels like it needs to apologize. I keep it classy with an unsweetened oat milk matcha latte (because we're refined now), and the girls there always come through with that fast, friendly service. Basically, I go for the matcha, but I stay because they never fumble the vibe!!
My 1st stop at Haven City Market West Covina (HCMWC) was Junbi. It is located outside next to GW Supermarket. I didn't order anything at first. I just wanted to check out the place and its drink options. I later came back here after purchasing food from a few food vendors inside HCMWC. Upon arrival, I was greeted right away with a friendly smile by Cassidy. She was nice to offer some drink recommendations. Thank you Miss! Ambiance was very inviting with cool colors. No seating inside this shop. Lots of seating available outside and inside HCMWC. Menu has a good variety of different drinks such as coffee, blended, matcha, classics, and non-caffenated. All drinks available hot. They now have a corn series. They also sell soft serve. I ended up getting the below. All 3 drinks came in a very cute and colorful bag. Thanks! *Strawberry Matcha Latte - matcha was light and delightful, but I didn't get much strawberry flavor though, may get again *Hojicha Latte - tasted good like chocolate milk, but lighter in density, will get again *Tropical Refresher - this was not a winner whatsoever, didn't get the guave and mango flavors at all, will not get again Besides drinks, they also have Junbi and BT21 merchandises for purchase. I would come back to try their soft serve and maybe even their corn series drinks. Thanks Junbi!
Stopped by Thursday night and it was the perfect dessert spot. I dusted it with match powder and got the almond jello at the bottom. The almond jello was delicious and had great flavor. The ice cream itself was creamy and not too sweet. It was a perfect balance of match and not at all bitter. We ordered on a tablet which was very convenient but the employee was really nice and brought our order out quickly.
My friend and I decided to visit Junbi after a lunch at Haven. Junbi is a chain specialty drink store and chain. Service is good, the vibe is new and modern. The store itself is very small, there is no seating inside. We tried the Cold yuzu dragon fruit matcha cold brew. I like the layers and creativity use of ingredients to create the color, but the taste is just okay.
I'm a fan of Junbi and their collabs and seasonal drinks, though there were times that they were hits and misses (at least at the other location). Though I'm happy that there's a dedicated matcha source in this neck of the 626 at the very least. You can order online for pick up via Toast Tab. Cafe itself is pretty small. Just order, do your photo op, maybe get some merch and that's it, but since right next to Haven City Market (or at least shares the outside part), there's plenty of seating nearby. Just an FYI though, they're a cashless establishment. I got their Madagascar Vanilla Matcha Cold brew, which is just their matcha with vanilla. No milk included. I got this at 30% sweet since I know that vanilla is sweet enough on its own. Even drinking this before my less ice started melting, it was pretty watered down. I got less sweet and less ice so I can taste more of the matcha, but I guess with so many other matcha places popping up, maybe my standards for matcha have increased greatly since going to their last location, or even their days back as Sip. Overall, slight watery matcha with the sweetness of the vanilla. I didn't get to try any of my friend's hojicha latte, so I can't comment on that. Maybe it was an off day since I know Junbi is much more of a solid matcha place.
Located right outside Haven City Market, it is a cozy little cafe offering extensive match selections. There is a kiosk to place order and I got my drink in a timely manner. I enjoyed my drink outside where plenty of seating is available. It was perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Would be back to try their other drinks.
First time stopping in and trying out Junbi here. There were BT21 collaboration drinks along with some various merchandise such as stickers and cups for sale. I decided to try the BT21 Galaxy Blended drink. It was made of fresh vanilla cream, black sesame, and purple sweet potato. The young lady working was very nice. I think she was the only person working at the time I went. There wasn't any seating inside, but there's plenty of seating outside since it's part of Haven City Market. The drink itself was okay. I was expecting the sesame paste and purple potato to be blended together, but it was only the purple potato blended, and black sesame paste layered in between. I probably won't order this drink again but will try out the other collaboration drinks next time.
Stopped by for cars and coffee, and was craving an early morning matcha. My friend said they heard really good things about this place, and im always willing to try new matcha places. I lady that was taking my order was very kind and was able to explain the menu and popular matches that people order. I tried the strawberry matcha, and surprisingly it tasted really good. For me personally, I'm always skeptical trying strawberry matcha places because people use a lot of syrup/puree and it was overwhelming at all. It was a perfect blend between the matcha and the strawberry. Honestly, it's really good and if I'm in the area again I will be trying the other matcha on the menu.
I finally got to try Junbi on my trip to California, and it was at the top of my must-try list since we don't have one in Georgia. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha, and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly balanced, creamy, and refreshing. The flavor was so smooth with just the right amount of sweetness, and the matcha quality really stood out. On top of that, I've always loved Miffy, so seeing their special collaboration made the whole experience even more fun and exciting. It felt like the perfect treat that I'd been waiting for. Junbi definitely lived up to the hype, and I'll be looking forward to my next visit whenever I'm back in California!

I should honestly "prepare daringly" and order something else next time but I can never get out of my comfort zone of the delicious cold brews! This is a little walk in shop where you just order, grab your drink and go. And possibly have a mini photo op with their cute wall. I ordered the mango matcha cold brew without a splash of milk. Regular milk would be no charge and I believe oat/almond splash would be like 0.75. I was never asked that actually at other locations so now I'm wondering if they're usually made with a splash of milk already or only upon request? Nonetheless, I still enjoyed my drink. Matcha-y and fruity! My bf ordered the strawberry refresher only because he's not a matcha fan and wasn't in the mood for coffee at that moment. He said the refresher was alright and honestly just tasted like strawberry and water. It wasn't too exciting or different to him. The girl at the front was very sweet. The couple ordering in front of us took a fairly long time pondering the menu and asking a bunch of questions and the girl was patient and answered/explained everything to them. I was about to get impatient behind them though because what was supposed to be a less than 5 min visit turned into 10 min lol. Luckily there's merch around and I was just perusing what was next to me. We had a chance to go during their grand opening day and it was BOGO free drinks! Can't wait to come back and try other drinks on the menu!

I always enjoy stopping by Junbi, Their soft serve is one of my favorites, and this time I tried the Jasmine Green Tea and Mango Matcha Latte. Both were really good, especially the creamy and fruity mango matcha. One downside is they're often out of certain items, and sometimes the soft serve machine is down. It can be disappointing, but it also gives me a chance to try something new each time. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor seating is available. The staff is always welcoming, and the atmosphere is nice. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more

I had a great experience at Junbi Matcha! If you love matcha and fun, unique flavors, this location is definitely worth stopping by. I ordered the corn matcha latte and the caramel corn matcha latte. The corn matcha latte was smooth and creamy with a clean matcha flavor. It wasn't overly sweet, and the corn element added a subtle sweetness and richness without tasting roasted or overpowering -- just a nice, mellow balance. The caramel corn matcha latte was my favorite. The caramel gave it that buttery sweetness that blended really well with the matcha, making it feel a little more indulgent while still letting the matcha shine through. It was sweet but not overwhelming. The shop itself is bright, modern, and clean -- a cute spot to hang out or grab a drink to go. Service was friendly and quick as well. I'll definitely be back to try more drinks! read more

How did we not know about this before? Their matcha and vanilla swirl was delicious, creamy, and velvety. And the free hojicha powder and cacao nibs was a bonus! The interior space was very cutely decorated. And the staff was very sweet. read more
I came to Junbi with my family during their soft opening. The place is located next to Haven City Market. The shop is small but the decor is pleasing. They have different varieties of drinks including; matcha latte, matcha cold brew, Hojicha (roasted green tea), classic drinks, non-caffeinated drinks, and special menu of sakura Lychee. We chose Mango matcha latte. The drink was excellent! Their matcha had subtle sweetness and creamy texture. It was well balanced with fresh tropical sweet mango pieces. The drink was really refreshing and unique. The barista was very nice. The service was fast. I am so excited to go back and try othere drinks, especially their sakura Lychee drinks. read more
I ordered the Miffy Sakura Lychee Matcha Latte ($7.25). It contains fresh milk, premium matcha, lychee and cherry blossom syrup, & lychee fruit bits. With the first sip, I immediately smiled at the taste of its fresh matcha. Tasty! The freshness and flavor is very noticeable. However, be aware that the Miffy Sakura Lychee Matcha Latte is an acquired taste. Personally, I did not like the strength of the floral lychee and cherry blossom syrup. The perfume taste was so strong that it tasted like a breath mint. Next visit, I will definitely try the Mango Matcha. Despite the strong syrup taste, I am still eager to return to Junbi (West Covina) because the Premium Matcha is genuinely delicious. It's rare to taste such a fresh, generous drink. Also, the drinks served are very large, chill, and refreshing. Junbi (West Covina) is located near the Haven City Market. I arrived on Friday (around 6:50PM), and parking was terribly crowded. I drove in a circle for 10 minutes before giving up and driving a few blocks away to park. Junbi (West Covina) offers bright, cheerful service. Staff is professional and welcoming. My order took 47 seconds. Fast!! (Important Note: Junbi does not accept cash. Bring card. Junbi is also in its Soft Opening stage, so some options are limited.) Regarding ambiance, Junbi (West Covina) is an order-and-leave experience. There are no inside tables, and it's very tiny. Thankfully, this location works hard to decorate its tiny interior. It's a little stuffy and cramped inside, but it's charming and cute with its decorations. There's also plenty of outside patio seating due to the Haven City Market. Overall, Junbi (West Covina) is brimming with potential. The ingredients are high-quality. And its service is stellar. Although the drink preparation can be improved and adjusted, the premium matcha is truly the real deal. If you love matcha, this is an easy recommendation. 4.5 out of 5 read more

Junbi recently opened up in West Covina and it's conveniently located at the Haven City Market. I love matcha so I had to try some of the matcha options! I recommend their matcha drinks since Junbi is known to use great quality matcha. I personally really liked the golden peach matcha latte which is a summer special and the Sakura blended matcha drink that was part of the limited time Miffy collaboration promotion! It was so refreshing and definitely memorable for me. I didn't know some Junbi locations had soft serve so it was a nice surprise to see this location offer soft serve! I tried the matcha and vanilla swirl one, it was so creamy and had an amazing consistency, I could imagine the matcha flavored one being just as delicious as well! Because this Junbi location is located at the Haven City Market, there's plenty of seatings outdoors and inside the hall. Can't wait to stop by again! read more

Waited in line for the Junbi West Covina Grand Opening while it was blazing hot outside. Although there was a section of the line that was underneath the shade, most of the line especially the beginning half and second line was out in the sun, and it was just hot. There was no offering of water to the people waiting in line, and the scratch tickets were handed out only to the first 120 people, when asked if there was any left since the social media post said first 300, the cashier indicated there was no more left, only to be told later by another person that there will be the remaining ones at the counter. A few people cut the line to join their friends in front of us. We were also told the Rose drinks would not be available during the limited grand opening day. Instead we opted for the two refresher drinks, the strawberry one was not to my liking and the mango one was just okay as well, didn't end up finishing the drink at all. Perhaps will have to try the other drinks instead if given the chance. Space inside the store is limited, it's essentially just a store front, there is seating available in the food court. There was a photo stand for a strip of Polaroid pictures for the grand opening. read more
I went to for the grand opening and got there early enough to score a scratcher and a free drink ticket. I tried the Matcha Peach Latte with oat milk & boba. It totaled $10+ including everything. My mom got the Matcha Mango Latte. The matcha itself was bold and strong, but the drink wasn't as sweet as I usually prefer, so I would definitely ask for extra sweetener next time! There's also a $1.25 charge for non-dairy milk in the lattes, which feels steep and is honestly the highest charge I've seen in LA. It is 75¢ for their other drinks. Definitely keep this in mind if you are dairy-free like me. They confirmed with me the boba is brown sugar boba and not honey boba, so that is vegan-friendly as well. I'm glad I got to check it out with the opening promo! They were running under a limited menu for the grand opening and there were other drinks off the normal menu that caught my eye, so I'll be back another time with my scratcher ticket discount to try another drink. I will feel like I can give a more comprehensive review after trying another drink on a normal business day. I'm interested in trying the Taro Vanilla Earl Gray Tea, Taro Vanilla Latte, Yuzu Dragon Fruit Refresher, and the Hojicha Latte. read more

I had no idea that a Junbi opened up near Haven City. In the past, I would have to trek to Rowland heights. The staff welcomed my friend and I in. As well as answered our question about whether their daily ceremonial matcha was in stock or not sweetly & politely. I ordered a vanilla/matcha soft serve swirl with red bean topping and hojicha dusting. The soft serve was quite airy and fluffy. The vanilla flavor was creamy and wholesome. The matcha flavor is quite faint, but the hojicha dusting made up for it and gave it the nice tang it needed. The red bean topping was amazing. The Junbi itself was quite small, there is seating outside the Haven City entrance. 10/10 would come again and again. read more
Stopped by Junbi during their soft opening after eagerly waiting for them to open--finally! I tried the Guava Matcha and the Matcha Cold Brew, and both were delicious. The Guava Matcha especially stood out--super refreshing, and the matcha flavor came through without being too strong or too subtle. Prices felt fair for what you get. The only bummer was that soft serve wasn't available yet (which is what I was most excited for!). I asked about their grand opening, but it sounds like they're still figuring that out. The shop itself is really cute, with a fun little photo setup and some matcha goodies for sale. Can't wait to come back once they're in full swing--especially for that soft serve! read more
Came here on a Friday afternoon during their soft opening. It wasn't that busy so I got my order right away. The space was a bit small, no seating available but there's plenty outside. They also have a merch wall as well. They have a lot of matcha options and it was a bit overwhelming but what caught my eye was the dirty taro vanilla matcha latte. It tastes exactly like the name. So good! The boba was perfectly chewy. Got the regular sweetness level but it actually wasn't that sweet. I would get it again. Will be back to try other flavors! read more
This spot is located in the same plaza as West Covina Haven City. I came here because I wanted to try their matcha. I am allergic to dairy so I asked the barista if their matcha powder has milk powder in it. She did not check but said that the matcha powder are the high grade Japanese ones. As I was looking through the menu, I was happy to see that they had Hojicha latte and they can add a matcha shot to it! Another plus is that they don't charge for milk substitutes! I ordered from the menu Iced Hojicha Latte with a Matcha Shot (milk, hojicha (roasted green tea), & ceremonial matcha) with oat milk for $8.25. Easy on the sweetness level. It was really good. My girlfriend had the Yuzu Dragon Fruit Refresher. She liked her drink. Other menu items are refreshers, tea, coffee, ice cream. Looks like they no longer serve rice balls. Add ons to your drinks you can order with an extra fee: boba, jelly, chia seeds, espresso, matcha shots, and lychee. It's pretty generous for some of the ice cream you get a free topping. No cash payments. Seating in the bench areas. Drinks came pretty quick. Would be back again if I am craving Hojicha! read more

Delicious tea and perfectly made boba. We tried the rose water matcha latte (delicate and fresh flavor), the cold brew yuzu dragonfruit matcha tea (super sweet, didn't get as much matcha flavor), and the brown sugar milk with boba. Loved that they had a more extensive non caffeinated menu. Parking on the weekend was a little crazy. It's also half hidden behind a wall when you're driving through the lot, but it opens up to a protected parklet once you're walking and on the inside of the fence, which is nice. read more
Got my little cousin a mango slush with lychee jelly, turned out to be fresh lychee bits. But she loved the drink regardless. I tried it and it wasn't too sweet, very light and refreshing. Service was excellent and friendly read more
The mango matcha and strawberry matcha with boba are both absolutely delicious and honestly taste even better than the ones I had in Hawaii! The matcha is rich and smooth, perfectly balanced with the fruity flavors--the mango adds a tropical sweetness while the strawberry is refreshing and goes well with the boba. The boba is soft, chewy, and it adds that extra satisfying texture to every sip. Compared to the Waikiki location, the drinks here at the West Co location tasted better, more flavorful, and just better made overall. Definitely coming back here! read more

I had been looking forward to trying Junbi for a while now. The service was quick and efficient, you can place your order either through their self-service tablet or the cashier. I decided to try their new peach summer flavors. I got the peach matcha latte with fresh dairy and also made it less sweet. I saw the option for an extra shot of matcha or ceremonial matcha, maybe should've done that. The drink looked great but I felt that the flavor was lacking. It mostly tasted like lightly flavored peach milk with a few fruit pieces. The matcha flavor did not come through at all. For the price point, it just didn't feel worth it. Maybe it was just the drink I got. Might come back again to try another drink next time. read more
