Hirono & Blueberry Lavender Cold Foam Matcha Latte
Samuel H.

Very nice cafe to study/chill! Lots of natural lighting and board/card games available. I had the blueberry matcha cold brew, and it was the perfect blend of cream and matcha. Not to mention, the cream is a lavender foam. I enjoyed it with "less sweet" option selected.

We love Junbi and drove out of our way in Portland to have some. Very large space, largest I've seen yet, and I've been to 3 JunbiMatcha locations 2 kiosks to order from which makes it easy and convenient to customize your drinks. You can also order from the cashier if the kiosks are taken. There were games to play and my girls played a couple rounds of Mancala, while we waited for our drinks and while we rested a bit. I always order the guava matcha cold brew and it was good, I only wish there was more guava. D1 ordered the strawberry matcha cold brew. I was surprised to see they had food at this location- soft serve and onigiri. Worth the drive. The girls went next door to the thrift shop and I ordered another matcha cold brew, mango this time for the drive home back to WA.

The shop has a very cute interior design aesthetic, and there's a decent amount of seating. My food was tasty, but I found it a bit overly salty, and the salmon was very mild. I kind of thought at first that they'd given me the wrong food, because I was expecting to see big chunks of salmon, but instead it was very tiny pieces that were almost indiscernible. Despite all that, I enjoyed it. The boba was also very tasty, and I really liked that they used real fruit. I did struggle a little bit with how massive the lychee pieces were though, plus there was a lot of that hard, crunchy inner layer of the lychee fruit that's just kind of gross, but if you don't mind that, you'll probably love it!

This place is my favorite Matcha spot in Sellwood, Portland, Oregon. It's a chain franchise, but they make the best custom Matcha drinks for those who appreciate authentic Japanese Matcha. They have bubble tea (Boba), soft, serve, ice cream, and other yummy snacks. It's often bustling in here as a testament to the coolness of this spot. Favorites of mine are the cold pressed Matcha and the Matcha latte with Boba.

This spot has great boba. So far I've found the specials to be not as good as the standard drink options which is a bummer. There is a bts collaboration right now which is so cute. Their drinks are flavored with ube and I guess there was a problem with mixing the ube extract that they didn't warn me about before making my drink and then seemingly leaving it out. They were able to make things right after I pointed it out though. Overall I'll be back for a standard drink, and maybe to play one of their board games with my friends.

Yummy matcha and boba drinks! Definitely recommend checking it out. We stopped by on our way out of portland.

First time coming to Junbi, heard the matcha and the rice balls were good so we decided to check it out. I got the cold guava matcha latte with soy milk, definitely can taste the matcha flavor. My partner got roasted matcha Hojicha. It's a cute shop, definitely coming here to do studying but there's also games to play with some friends and enjoy drinks and food, the service too was friendly, love that they notified us that it would take time due to a big order too. Coming back to try out more matcha drinks they'd have to offer!

Nice corner Café spot. I ordered these drinks at a kiosk. There was a slight confusion on the drinks, and someone else order the same drink as me, but it was fixed quickly. The drinks are really good. Will come back from more and I highly recommend just doing the recommended sweetness! Will come back to try their softserve and other drinks!

I have been wanting to try for so long! I got a guava matcha latte with boba. So good! The guava puree is tasty but will add some texture to your drink. The matcha is good. The boba was very nice. Service was great. Lots of indoor seating. Very clean!

Ploy N.

They have so many tasty and creative drinks, focusing on matchas and coffee. Their drinks are on the sweet end for sure though. The Taro Vanilla Matcha Cold Brew was very novel. You definitely feel the caffeine from it but the taro flavor worked surprisingly well. Space is very cute and staffs were very friendly. I'll be back to try their Onigiris and other treats.

LOVE LOVE LOVE junbi! One of the best boba places I've been in the Portland area, I come here often and my go to is the Strawberry Jasmine Tea! it's incredibly refreshing, not too sweet and the boba is extremely well made! My drink was $6.50 and imo, well worth it because of how good it tastes!! Service was great, the workers are so kind and give great recommendations too! Ambiance was nice too, can definitely get loud if you go when there's a lot of people but still very nice place!

Cold Hojicha Latte w/ Matcha, Cold Strawberry Matcha Latte, Cold Rose Water Matcha Latte
Jocelyn C.

tried this matcha place in socal and loved it, so i took my friends to this location. so many options and flavored matchas to choose from. my drink was slightly too sweet even though i got less sugar, so i would just be careful if you like your matcha less sweet. ordered: hojicha latte with matcha shot strawberry matcha latte rose water matcha latte

The puncture point was well placed, but seal needs a little more give.

If I was a billionaire, I'd invest in this shop to open a second location by me in Maine. Small batch and homemade, these ice creams are luscious and delicious. They are not sickly sweet, and they don't need to be. They really let the flavors shine on their own. The thai iced tea is my favorite flavor, though the fresh banana is up there too. This trip already I have visited once IRL and later I ordered a shake from them for delivery to my hotel, which was great! No drop in quality there and they drew a cute little note. The service has always been amazing throughout the years. Got to meet THE Miss Oz herself one visit too! Scoops or in shake form, it's a must visit when we find ourselves back in PDX!

It was good, but the coconut stood out quite a bit (I do like coconut). I ended up with one of the 4 grass-fed dairy options, all the good things, which had caramel ice cream, chocolate swirl and fudge and peanut butter chips. It was good. I had it in a waffle cone for $2 more, bringing my half scoop and cone to $5, I believe. The waffle cone was yummy. I wouldn't say the ice cream was anything more special than you can get in your freezer, but nice to have an option out if you're plant-based. Sorry I forgot to take a photo of the ice cream.

It's upscale ice cream... are you expecting to be disappointed?…read more I'm sure you at least know Salt & Straw by reputation... it's the preeminent ice cream chain in Portland. And for good reasons! The flavors, taste and experience are truly phenomenal. I typically try to visit during the day so that there isn't a long line. If you come anytime after 6 PM, expect to wait a while. It's just that good! The staff is always incredibly friendly and they will let you sample as many flavors as you like before you decide. They have standard staples for flavors and then seasonal ones that rotate every few months. This particular location has very little seating so you should plan to take yours to go. I recommend enjoying it while you stroll on NW 23rd. Otherwise, the staff will be happy to pack up a scoop for you and/or you can take a pint to go! Parking is a typical challenge for this area, but prices are reasonable and you can't beat the service. My favorite part of the experience is that first step into the front door when I smell the fresh waffle cones being made. As someone who used to work in an ice cream shop, I have very high standards for what is served to the customer - the scoop sizes we received were noticeably inconsistent when compared to past visits & in my opinion, if a scoop doesn't at least appear to fill the cup, either smaller cups are needed or scoopers should be trained to not have their scoops be so compact. One of the scoops in the double mini we ordered was literally 1/3 the size of the other, cost more than the regular scoop but had less ice cream. The regular scoop was compressed into such a tight, dense ball, it was rolling around my cup like a marble on the drive home. We couldn't help but laugh when we looked in our cups because the portions we had just paid for were comical. For prices that are set at a premium, I want to feel like I'm getting my money's worth and don't like walking out of an establishment feeling ripped off.
