    Turkey sandwich

Had a great experience here! I can't speak to the service because my friend ordered for me but I loved my sandwich and the outdoor seating was lovely. Super cute and in a quiet part of town. I'd go back!

Stopped in for a quick latte to go. Cute spot tucked away in a neighborhood (little challenging to park). They used local Smith tea for my chai latte and was made quickly. Overall, a good spot to hang out over a coffee and maybe even grab breakfast.

Great cafe tucked into a neighborhood! I tried the smoked salmon hash. It was delicious and hearty. Chased it down with an iced matcha latte. Street parking was easy to find. Counter service was friendly!

I love this cafe, they consistently have great fresh food, a fun menu with unique options including drink specials, and good service! I have loved the 2 latte specials going on with a red velvet iced latte and the pistachio latte. I love the country breakfast bowl and the benedicts.

Wow really loved this spot in John's Landing. I'm never in the area so was surprised to see a place that had such a large indoor area but with plenty of picnic tables outside. I went with a friend and seems like they recently expanded the place. We ordered the corned beef hash and matcha waffles to share. Can't have brunch without some drinks and I enjoyed the chai and vanilla lattes here. Surprisingly the food came out pretty quickly and it was so easy to dig in! I enjoyed the corned beef hash because the potatoes had a nice crunch, some spice with the bell peppers, and thick chunks of meat. The matcha waffles were a nice sweet option to get as they put all the sides of whipped cream, butter, jam, and syrup. They were just slightly dry though so I probably wouldn't get them again. Overall, the food menu has a nice mix of sweet and savory. However, if you don't want a full entree be sure to check out their pastry case or specials board!

Awesome place for breakfast. Lots of seating options. Delicious bagel and lox . Great coffee and drink options. The staff is friendly, and helpful. Outside seating available too.

    Breakfast bagel

I've been here before and their food was great but I can't lie this breakfast bagel was not good at all. I'm pretty disappointed. There's so much sauce. Had to throw it away. I really hate to write bad reviews but it honestly was so gross I felt I had to, I'm sorry:(

This place is in such a cute location -- right next to the beautiful Willamette Park. I came in and ordered their chai because it was recommended to me, but honestly, it was super disappointing. It wasn't even good enough to be called chai. It tasted like watered-down milk with barely any spice or flavor -- definitely not the bold, authentic chai I'm used to. It seemed like it came from a concentrate that was too diluted, and then they just added a splash of milk. I really don't even know if it qualifies as chai. That said, I did have the brownie, and it was rich, fudgy, and delicious -- definitely the highlight of my visit. Overall, I'll probably come back because the location and vibe are great, but next time, I'll be skipping the chai.

Love this neighborhood cafe slash bistro in a historic building based in Johns Landing. Cozy, upscale and friendly... and I like that the space seems to transform over the course of the day. Coffee is excellent; they use one of the best local roasters in Portland. Pastries are scrumptious! And the menu is deep enough to offer options without making you feel overwhelmed. Random note of appreciation: the bathroom doesn't have a code. That is a rarity in Portland these days. The WiFi can be spotty at times... that's my only feedback for improvement. The outdoor area is lovely in the summer! Too bad it's overcast in Portland over half of the year I like that the management keeps tinkering with the hours to make it optimal for the customer base. That alone speaks volumes about their desire to succeed... and they do!

I study here on weekends and this place is very popular- they have a ton of seating but there has been a time or two I had to wait for someone to leave for a seat. They serve full on breakfast on one side and smaller quick portions on the cafe side. Wait staff are great on the cafe side! Tons of beverage options, pastries, burritos, bagels, etc. Great place to for a visit or study!

Forgot to post this last week when I went this most recent time as I was in a food coma! Definitely my favorite new spot for weekend brunch in Portland. 11/10 atmosphere, staff and most importantly: food. Not crazy spendy either; definitely recommend hitting it on the weekend so you can try out the bomb brunch menu. Totally a place you can bring your laptop for work if ya want, as well as a spot for a nice adult beverage if that's what you're after!

One of the best cafes I've been to in terms of quality and variety of foods and drinks! This place is in a peaceful neighborhood of John's Landing. From the outside it may seem like a small spot but I was surprised how much seating there was inside with multiple floors! The vibe inside is very cozy and spacious. I opted to dine in so they called out your name once your drink was ready and then brought the food out to you wherever you're sitting afterwards. The cappuccino was made quickly and it was delicious! I also got the Belmont burrito which had egg, potatoes, avocado, black beans, arugula, and cheese. It was super tasty and filling! Might be my go-to order from now on :) The salsa on the side was also perfectly spicy. Can't wait to come back!

The Country Burrito, "bowl style". Scrambled eggs bacon roasted potatoes salsa cheddar jack cheese and green chili sour cream

Immaculate atmosphere and the exact sort of thing we were looking for for breakfast. We didn't get her name but saw on the receipt her name might have been Davi, she was such a bundle of light and life, so attentive and kind! She immediately gave us wonderful recommendations which we all adored. The table ordered praline bacon to share (do yourself a favor and get this), one ordered the praline bacon waffle, another ordered the bananas foster waffle, and I got the seasonal vegetable hash. We were all in HEAVEN with what we ordered. From the first bite to the last it we were all absolutely stunned by how delicious and well made everything was. I savored every bite as did my compatriots. One gal ordered a couple things to go for her family (huevos rancheros for the hubby and cinnamon rolls for her kiddos) and our waitress Davi recommended they bring out the cinnamon rolls unfired so that she could pop them in the oven when she got home after a short drive. It was such good attention to detail that felt like such a friendly offer. Absolute superstars, the lot of you. Next time I'm back in Portland I'm absolutely spoiling some friends here with what I can only describe as a transcendent experience.

As i approached the building, I noticed that it was full of people. I fell into the street. I was in and out of consciousness. My heart was racing at the thought that I drove 15 hours and could not get a seat at SCREEN DOOR. As I walked into the building a humble man greeted me. He told me that they would clean off a table for me. WOO HOO. I bursted out crying at the thought that I finally got my seat. As I sat down a soft chair graced my bottom. Beautiful. I looked around and the scenery was beautiful. As I looked at the menu, my eyes sharply turned to the chicken and waffles. Deliciously perfect choice. I ordered my food and got a coffee. My chicken and waffles arrived and I took a bite. I started floating. My soul left my body. I looked down at my body as I floating away, I was enjoying every bite. I reached the heavens. A loud voice said "Its not your time yet. Return and enjoy the rest of your meal." I ascend back to the chair and every chicken and every waffle was gone. The servers were SO kind. I got my check and shead a tear, knowing that was the best meal of my life. Over all from kind servers to and delicious food, SCREEN DOOR was an awesome experience. SCREEN DOOR deserves a 5 star, however I am going to give it a 5 star. I loved every moment. Thank for read my review. Love you.

They've certainly topped the muscle game. Highly recommend Olympic Provisions. I will gladly vouch that the negative reviews are from the haters, just to hate. I ordered the Omelette du jour - Three egg omelette special with bacon, spinach, caramelized onions, gorgonzola and blue cheese. It was fantastic.
