Craving boba & stumbled upon this spot. It's so cute and clean inside. The drinks were refreshing. It didn't wow me, but overall pretty good and fast service.
Yin's Tea is one of the few boba/milk tea shops in the area and I was surprised and happy they have these awesome cups for $5 extra where you get a surprise plush keychain (fake crybaby or Sanrio) or a Genshin Impact bookmark. They are so ON TREND. Definitely a lot of fun. Store is really clean and modern. There is a little seating and they have a stamp card. Not really sure of their rewards program but you get a free drink on your bday. Drinks are also good quality with real teas!
Not sure how I feel. Ordering is primarily done on a tablet, ie perfect for introverts like me. Though if you have questions, it does mean trying to flag someone down. I got the Sugar Babie 50% sweetness with cheese foam. The foam alone was perfect, not too sweet or salty. The tea felt like there was no sweetener at all. When mixed with the foam it helped but made the salt so prominent. It was hard to finish. I did get the surprise with the tea and it is super cute. I do feel only get it if you're okay with ALL the options. The shop is very small and hot. As the summer has hit, that was not the greatest. I totally don't fault the shop for this, more a note if you plan to stay for longer than the wait to get your drink. When I'm in the area, I may give it another go.
Place is super adorable. Picked up some treats for my friend. Staff was also helpful and was super patient with me trying to figure out what to. They also have a stamp card, so don't forget.! no idea how I forgot but didn't take any photos of my actual drinks.

Ordered Sweater Weather and Jupiter, sweater weather less sweet and Jupiter 25% sweet. Sweater weather was significantly sweeter than the Jupiter and had lychee jelly in it! Both drinks were tasty and the plushie is a really cool idea. The ones I got were so cute!!
Very powdery milk taste but decent tea fragrance. We got less sweet and it was still way too sweet. The surprise gift is fun and an innovative add-on.
Super refreshing, makes the perfect summer afternoon drink! I got the sweater weather, less sweet and it was a great combo of fresh lychee flavor and jellies! Easy ordering on the tablet in front and fast tea making!
Refreshing drinks at Yin's Tea located off 79th and Powell in the shopping center by WinCo and the poker club. Pretty clean and nice inside- super cute decor!. No tables to sit, waiting area though; service was great and the gal was friendly. I got the 'bitch green' (matcha tea) with the surprise plush toy and it was cute! I ordered extra sweet and always forget that it means the amount of boba or not. . A little much. Checking out their Facebook, Looks like they have a 'SpongeBob' smoothie of pineapple and coconut and may have to get one to end the summer. .they also have stamp cards too.
This place had delicious milk tea! We got the new Jade White Dragon and it was so good! The staff were very friendly and patient with us trying to decide what to get. Showed us their top 7 drinks and made the experience very enjoyable. The concept of the mystery cup and rotating plushies is so cute! Can't wait to go back!
Yin's tea is a tea lover's paradise. We tried the peach tea with mystery cup, the flavor of tea was very rich and smooth with peach pearls and we added boba too to the tea. I really love the idea of mystery cup because it makes you happy instantly. Who doesn't like a surprise which is cute The ambience of the place is very serene and minimalistic. The best thing I loved about the place was its very clean and they maintained it really well. The tea selection is impressive with unique flavors. Star detail: There was an actual peach inside the tea making it more flavorful. I tried boba tea at many places, never seen this uniqueness. I really appreciate places which are unique in their approach I'm hoping that they expand their business and open at other places too!! The service is amazing with friendly staff. Overall, a must try!!
I've been here a couple times and it's overall been a decently good boba shop. The inside is clean, there's very limited seating (only a bench), and it is very bright and clean. Service here can be a bit slow but they're nice. The menu is pretty limited, and I've been able to try a good variety of them. Overall, I love how fun their drink names are and they have some special fruit and milk tea offerings. I recommend their fruit tea as they have real fruit in them and they're pretty good (it's just a shame you can't adjust the sweetness on a lot of them). The first time I went here, I had their green tea crema and the cream was amazing--the best in Portland. So, I was very excited to come back. Since then, I've ordered it a couple times but they've never made it the same as then--whether it's too flavorless, not cheesy/creamy enough, etc. Which is a shame. And so, I've noticed the quality can be inconsistent. Nonetheless, I do like the drinks they offer and do come back.
I tried the Spongebob smoothie (pineapple and coconut) and the Assam milk tea with crystal boba, and both were delicious! The mystery toy concept was something new to me, and I thought it was really cute and unique. The interior decor was clean, modern, and minimalistic. The staff was very helpful and patient. Unfortunately, they were out of mango sago, so I'll have to come back for that another time. If you enjoy bubble tea with a strong tea flavor like I do, Yin's Tea is the place to go.

Got the mango sago, jasmine milk tea. I really enjoy their drinks since it's light and refreshing. They had a mango sago special the time I went and it was pretty good. I liked the mango flavoring of it. The jasmine milk tea was also good too since it had a good tea flavor to it. Idk if they still do it but you can buy your drink in a cup where you can get a mystery plushie which is cute. read more

I was craving boba and this boba shop pop up. Cute little boba shop. They have surprise plushy cup you can order that is additional $5. It was Sanrio characters and cry baby plushies. They had two people working, a few customers in front of me. It didn't take long the drinks to come out. I had ordered a roasted oolong milk tea but got the dong ding milk tea instead. I didn't realize it until I left. I was disappointed that I got the wrong milk tea. The boba was soft and chewy which I like. The tea itself tasted powdery. Hmmm. I would come back again and try the fruit teas. read more

Okay wow!!! I've been to many boba places and have only been amazed by the experience a few times... and this is one of them. The ambiance has a very clean, aesthetic look and there is a screen where you can order from. There is minimal seating inside. There is a free parking lot by the store. The staff were all very nice and professional. I got the As-sam milk tea with less ice and 25% sugar. I LOVE strong tea flavors in boba and this place absolutely delivered that (a lot of places don't). It does not just taste like sugary milk with some tea flavor in the background.... the tea is truly the center of the drink. Also 25% sugar... is 25% sugar. I think this is a hard bar to meet for me as I don't very sweet drinks and 25% sugar was perfect (probably enhances the tea flavor too). I'm not sure this is unique to the As-sam or all of the drinks. Boba was cooked well, not hard or soggyr or overly sweet! Price are also pretty standard (about $6 for milk teas, $7 for special drinks). I also asked about the lavender milk tea and it is a syrup based drink. They also have a mystery cup in which a random plush or sticker can be found in the compartment under the drink, which is an idea I've only one other time. It an additional $5.50 or you can get a free one after receiving 10 stamps on their card. Definitely can see this being a way to garner regular customers who want to collect all of the plush/stickers. I would love to return!! Would very impressed to see this quality be consistent. read more
Delicious boba tea! I got the Sugar Babie. It's a smooth, non-bitter "King" milky black tea. You can choose the level of sweetness. I got 100%, which is regular sweet, but you can have no sweetness, 25%, etc. I got a cute "plushie" on a key chain as my "mystery cup" surprise. The staff was friendly and answered questions knowledgeably. It was sparkling clean as well! Thanks, Yin's and I hope you are a huge success! We'll be back when we are in the neighborhood. read more
I ordered the troublesome, which is an oolong milk tea and added boba to it. The milk tea was mediocre and nothing special. I didn't taste the oolong flavor in the drink as oolong usually has a strong roasted flavor. The boba was fine, nothing special. The service was quick and staff were nice on providing recommendations. There is parking on site but the parking area can get busy, so I parked a little further away. Overall, the shop is pretty aesthetic and clean. Oh they also have a cute mystery cup that comes with a mystery plush. Might be a fun thing to try out sometime. read more

Ordered: -Earl Grey MT -Mango Sago -Surprise plushie Pro: -Earl Grey MT was flavorful & not too sweet (50% sweet) -Plenty of parking in this large lot! -Some benches to sit while waiting for your drink, but it's definitely more of a grab & go setting -Cute sanrio plushies!!! A bit pricey but a nice treat for yourself hehe Con: -Mango Sago is quite yogurt & coconut-y tasting. Reminds me of a mango lassi. Not bad, but different from mango sago we are accustomed to. read more
While I am not one to typically write a review for a business that recently had its grand opening four days ago, I was thoroughly pleased with my experience at Yin's Tea. I arrived on a Wednesday evening and noticed four other groups inside waiting for their orders to be prepared. Parking can be limited because of the shared parking spaces in the plaza. The interior design was a mix of contemporary/minimalistic with influences of Asian decor, paying homage to the business owner's roots and very suitable for a boba tea store. There is a handful of chairs and a bench to wait for your drink order; however, I did not see any tables inside. Ordering was made easy through their kiosk and their menu items are displayed on the screens at the front of the establishment. Next to the kiosk, there were mini sample cups of their tea to try as well. I was elated to find out there were many options to customize my drink order: drink size, mystery prize cups, sweetness levels, ice adjustments, milk type, and toppings. Based on my previous experience in the food industry and as a bobarista, the options for so many different adjustments and a variety of different types of drinks for a new business can be very challenging. The team at Yin's Tea seemed to work harmoniously together, ensuring drinks were made properly and timely. Being a huge fan of gacha, I was not able to resist paying for the mystery cups. The Genshin Impact bookmarks were surprisingly higher quality than I expected and the mystery plushies were too adorable! I ordered the Keep it Pink (Rose Milk Tea), CeleberTea (Earl Gray Milk Tea), and Da Queen (Mango Sago). I typically order normal sweetness when trying a new boba place and will adjust my next order after tasting. I found that their normal 100% sweetness was a bit too sweet for my palate and I would most likely order less/half sweetness next time. The flavor of the tea was quite prominent and rich so I could tell the tea leaves were high quality and brewed properly. The boba was fresh and cooked well, soft with a nice chewy texture. Cecilia was very kind and attentive when handing off my drinks at the counter, placing my order in a drink carrier, and placing a cap to prevent my drinks from spilling. I can't wait to come back to support this new business and try their other drinks! read more
The decor in this tea house is adorable! You order on the kiosk at the counter. The staff were very friendly. I got the Jasmine milk tea with sago and it is very floral forward. Just because I do not like the floral flavor very much I give this a 2 out of 10. The taro sparkle made up for it with a delicious creamy taro flavor 9 out of 10. I tried a drink of another drink that tasted like colada and it was so good! Overall this is a great tea house that I definitely recommend you try! Happy Eats! read more
This was our first trip to Yin's Tea. I loved it! Ordered the Dirty Peach with more tea, and daughter chose the Pinkie Pink with more tea. She didn't prefer the heavyvtwa taste, so I drank hers along with my Dirty Peach. I would highly recommend if you don't like the slightly more bitter more tea taste, stick with the basic. Otherwise, I really think this is one of the great tea shops in town. Plus, the decor is beautifully minimalistic and the service was very good. I'm ready to try the other tea flavors! I'm overall impressed with Yin's Tea! I stopped in because I was in the neighborhood, and hadn't had boba tea in a LONG time. As soon as I opened the door, I was assaulted by the heavy stench of chlorine bleach. There are certainly worse things to smell in a tea shop, and I appreciate their sanitation, but I wish they'd at least opened a door to air the place out a bit. Orders are placed at a touch pad at the counter. Variety is wide, and options are many. I opted for a mango Sago, and my companion ordered her typical duo of beverages. The Mango Sago was honestly one of the most stupidly delicious things I've ever had, EVER! I'll make a special trip back here just for this. The store is tiny, but is immaculately clean. Staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. While the prices are on the higher side, it seems like it's being used for great-quality ingredients, and super sturdy cups. The parking lot is TINY and very tight, so parking can be a challenge. read more
Aesthetic! Very modern and airy. Parking is easy as there's a large shared parking lot. The drink names are very cute and quirky which make ordering fun. There is limited seating in the shop (only a few waiting benches) so expect to take your drink to go. The cashiers seemed disinterested and bored of being there but, hey, we all have our off days. I got the Sweater Weather (lychee iced tea with lychee bits and lychee jelly). The fruit tea was so light and refreshing. Although a bit sweet for me so I'll get sweetness adjustments next time. Ambiance: 4/5 This is a cute, aesthetic, and clean boba shop with charming decor. I love their menu TVs and the self-ordering tablet--very modern and fun to use! The downside is that they only have two small tables, so it's not really a place to hang out. It's more of a grab-and-go spot. They also offer blind box drinks, which are a fun and unique experience, though a bit on the pricey side. Service: 5/5 The bobarista was fast at making our drinks and super friendly. They were also patient with us since it took us a while to decide what to order. My sister even got a FREE birthday drink, which was a sweet bonus! I also like their cups which are reusable but the large one was out of stock which was totally fine. Drinks: Cloudy Friday Creama: 5/5 This is a green tea drink with salty, cheesy foam on top. They were out of the jasmine crema, so I tried this one instead, and I loved it! The creamas are my favorite--they're so creamy and delicious. Definitely a must-try! Dirty Peach: 3/5 My sister and I weren't huge fans of this one. I think it's a newer item, and I personally don't love peach drinks. It also comes with crystal boba, which was an interesting texture. The boba used to be a bit hard in the past, but it seems like they've perfected it now! It's super chewy and great to taste. I've been here a couple of times, and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area, especially after some Korean food nearby. It's a convenient and tasty stop! read more
Just discovered Yin's and now have been twice in two weeks. My kids love the mystery cups, and have gotten an adorable stuffie each time. The smoothies are yummy and the bubble tea is great. Service is friendly and fast. read more

The Ceylon Milk tea with coffee was delicious. Cold drink for the summer. Delicious and smooth drink along with added boba that was easily to eat. A small cafe shop. You can add any toppings you want. Boba, crystal boba, sago, lychee jelly, glass jelly or cheese foam. This is a very clean establishment. You need to mention that you want a mystery cup. The mystery cup is either a plushie or a bookmark. A very quick stop to grab something to go. Definitely fun. read more
