OCha Tea Corner is a really cute boba shop that offers a variety of tea and coffee drinks with various toppings. I really enjoyed my ube coffee with sea salt foam and my partner enjoyed his fruit tea with grass jelly. It wasn't busy while we were there, but it looks like they get a fair number of Doordash/takeout orders. While seating is pretty available, there is foot traffic around the register and the barista is busy preparing drinks. The shop itself is clean and a nice place to hang out and enjoy your drink. If you're into collectables/trying your luck, there's also 16 Gashapon capsule vending machines near the counter. Overall, our drinks were tasty and we were happy with our visit. We will be back if we're in the area. read more

I dropped in here for a quick helping of tea, as I felt like a refresher after some Dim Sum. Like most boba places it had a casual and chill vibe inside, and the cashier was trying to be helpful with any questions I had. I ended up ordering the Ice Green Tea with no sugar, just plain tea and ice. I don't know if there's cross contamination, or just being super over brewed, but the Jasmine Tea ( the green tea they use) was very very tart. I lean more toward tea quality for my boba drinks, so if you're like me, I wouldn't recommend this place if my visit is representative of their brewing capabilities. It looks like they have plenty of really sweet Milk Tea options for those who lean more toward that area though. read more

Intermittent crowds of after school kids were converging on OCha after school today. There's plenty of tables and chairs for everyone in this trendy restaurant. This is my first time having a Yakult. Yakult is a popular Asian yogurt drink, which explains the tartness. If you know what it is, you will be prepared for its tartness. You can choose from 25% to 100% sweetness. The Lychee Yakult is actually really good. Come by and check them out. OCha is actually my family's favorite boba place in this area. read more

A nice boba place tucked away in a small shopping center that is a lowkey gem in the area! DRINK We got red bean and Thai tea boba. Both were really good and leaned towards the sweeter side. Even by asking for less sugar. The drink itself tasted phenomenal and the boba was cooked to perfection. SERVICE The service here is pretty good. There were no line when we came and they were able to get our drinks out relatively fast! The only down side is that the furnitures are a bit worn. read more

12/29/20- My go-to boba place in Portland! Love their milk teas and the boba is always fresh and chewy. I will also admit that I love their stylish cups and the red heart stoppers (great for preventing spills or locking in heat for a hot drink). I like to reuse their nice cups for drinks I make at home! -Super Passion (50% sweet, less ice)- This is essentially a fruit tea with fresh passionfruit (has passionfruit seeds too). The drink was topped with orange, lime, kiwi, and strawberry fruit slices and had shredded orange peels at the bottom for extra fruit flavor. The tea flavor itself was fine but the shredded fruit peels made for an off-putting experience. It was impossible to avoid them so you had to chew on bitter peels with each sip (or take the time to remove all the peels beforehand). I wouldn't have minded if the drink had fruit pulp but the peels themselves are bitter. The 50% sweetness for the tea was just right for me though and the boba was perfectly done! -Hongcha Boba Milk Tea (75% sweet, less ice)- Ocha's milk teas are usually always a hit and the same goes for their Hongcha (black tea) milk tea. I would recommend getting 50% sweetness or lower because even the 75% sweetness felt like a sugar overload. Otherwise, the tea was smooth and the milk was creamy. The overall drink wasn't too heavy either. -Store ambience and experience- Ocha usually has a clean and relaxing lounge area pre-pandemic. The store lighting is nice/warm and the cashier was very courteous! Our drinks were also made very quickly. It's located in the same plaza as a popular dim sum place so you can get your boba fix afterwards! Whenever I'm in this area of Portland, I always have to stop by Ocha! Even though the Super Passion was a miss for me, I love their other milk teas. The boba is better than most other stores in the area. read more

Definitely still one of my favorite places to grab boba from. I ordered the Lychee Yakult with Boba, Honey Green Tea with Sea Salt Foam, and the Brown Sugar Boba. The lychee yakult was okay, didn't think there was a need for the boba since the boba is sweet. However, the boba is really nice and chewy. The brown sugar boba, was good. Not too sweet and tasted good. They have a honey green tea usually with cheese foam but I opted out and substituted with sea salt foam. The drink was sweet, but by adding the sea salt foam it balanced some of the sweetness out. I wish I remembered to adjust the sweetness to the drinks. At 100% for everything, it is a bit sweet but not too crazy sweet. read more

Amazing environment to study and the workers are always so nice and helpful! There were a couple times when I just did not know what to order. I have been to Ocha multiple times and enjoy every time. Living out in the Boring area we have very limited access to tea shops, so whenever I go into town I always try and get a tea. The drinks come out quickly and the shop is always insta perfect. My two go-to's are the Matcha with cream puff and cheese foam and the Brown Sugar Milk tea with no boba. I want to note: I went for the first time in a long while, since the events of 2020, and I did find the cheese foam was not quite the same. It was a lot thicker and tasted a bit off. So I'd suggest skipping that but the rest, so worth the time and a visit. read more

It wasn't busy on a Friday night. Parking is pretty cramped since since the lot shares a busy restaurant. Bathroom is a whole scary journey because it's shared behind the rest of the building too. Boba was great and chewy. Taro Milk Tea was tasty until I found a strand of hair in it. I wanted to keep drinking because it was so good, but couldn't get over possibly slurping up another one. read more

Hm stopped in 45 mins after opening, and was told the tapioca wasn't ready yet. Bummer. Well I still opt for the ocha milk tea without the topping. I remember the buzz around this boba spot when it first opened, since I was in the area I thought I would try it out. If I was craving boba and this was the only place available, I still don't think I would go to it. There are other boba places nearby that I would recommend over Ocha. I got the Ocha milk tea with pudding and it was rather disappointing to say the least. I'm not sure what milk they used but it tasted like 95% soy milk, 5% tea. The pudding was really bland. The drink overall was pretty bland. It tasted like soy milk with a splash of tea. I let my guard down thinking it was a milk alternative and it made my stomach pretty upset (I'm lactose intolerant, so I take full responsibility for that. I should have asked instead of assuming it was soy milk. That's totally on me). What I do like is that it seems like a good spot to come by and do work at with tables spaced apart for social distancing. And there was a customer that came in without a mask even though there is a clear sign on their door asking for patrons to be masked before entering and the cashier told her she needed a mask in order to be inside the business. read more

After dinner we were looking to finish off with some sweet cold drinks. Eventually found our way to Ocha and it was a treat. I ordered the Thai Tea with boba and it was good. Must have been a bad batch. Overall everything was delightful. read more

Tasted artificial. Definitely not made of quality tea or milk. And I got very little boba this time. Other people had a lot more boba. Drinks are not freshly made. Not worth it for over $5+ a cup. Not a fan of places that charge the same as others but cannot provide the same level of service nor quality. The cups are nice and portion is good. However no sustainable option. Ordered with no ice - which is an option. Turns out all drinks pre-made so my drink tasted freezing cold and my cup wasn't full (About 2 inches from the rim), it looked like someone drank from it already. I had a lot less boba than other patrons. They could of added more boba so my cup looked fuller. Need to dedicate more time to training staff, including cleanliness. Maybe I've just gotten lucky and ordered some of their better drinks, but after seeing some reviews, I was not expecting much from yet another boba place in Portland. However, I've gone to Ocha probably a dozen times since its opening, and it's always pretty solid. I've never felt that a drink was too sweet, too icey, not flavorful enough, or just not good. The only downside would be the price, but prices ARE starting to climb at many other spots as well. My favorite drinks here are the rose milk tea and the yakult drinks. Upon getting the rose milk tea for the first time, I was so happy that it actually had that strong rose flavor, and wasn't just overwhelmed by the milk tea. The yakults are good too. I always get it with no ice or sugar modification, and it's just right for me. The peach yakult is my favorite! I will say the fruit teas are a little disappointing just because the large pieces of fruit in the drink take up a lot of room, and you're left with just a lot of fruit and ice. I will stick to what I know tastes good to me, and what has worked. read more

Really, really sweet bubble tea unfortunately, so I highly suggest going 25-50% sweetness level if you don't like super sweet tea. We got the ruby red tea at 50%, and it was still overly sweet. We had to wait until the ice melted in order to drink it. We also got the Roasted Rice Milk Tea, which the barista said isn't very sweet so wasn't sure if I wanted to get it half sweetness. Well, since he said it that way, I got it normal sweetness and... bad idea. Super sweet! Also had to wait until the ice melted in order to drink it. But, I must admit, the drink itself was pretty good, and I would've loved it if I got it less sweet. The rice tea is delish:) A bit bitter but pairs well with the sweetness of milk. Also, do yourself a favor and don't get crystal boba. It is not nearly as delicious as regular tapioca boba. It's way chewier and flavorless. Cups here are very cute though! And plenty of street parking. read more

I honestly wouldn't have known what to order if it weren't for my fellow yelpers! I'm definitely coming back to try a different type of bubble tea! The way Ocha presents their drink is really cute. We came here after eating some tasty sliders hoping to satisfy our thirst. We all ordered different drinks just to see how it would taste. I ordered the matcha milk tea with boba with less sweet, however, it came out pretty sweet. The bobas we had seemed to ber undercooked as it was pretty hard in the center. (Part of me believes that they may have given me the matcha milk tea that was made by mistake for the previous customer?). I also noticed that there was a good amount of matcha powder on the bottom of my drink as though it was not mixed well. This was one of the rare instances that I did not finish my drink. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt as they are pretty new and probably are trying to figure out the kinks. read more

This isn't my favorite boba spot, and I don't come here very often at all. The teas just aren't very strong, so I didn't feel like the flavors were very good. I asked for my tea to be 50% sweet since I didn't like much of the syrup flavor, but due to this I felt like my drink just tasted like watered down tea. Outside of the flavor I felt like the service was great! The workers were very kind and helpful when it came to ordering. This is my go to boba spot in Portland. I always order a taro smoothie with boba and either cream puff or cheese foam. I love how everyone working here is so friendly and accommodating. I came today at around 8pm and unfortunately they were out of boba but it's understandable because their boba is perfect. Great amount of sweetness and a nice chewy texture. Came on Grand Opening Day- 03.28.2018 ~ 8pm. First off, there was a lot of people and the orders were backed up. That was to be expected for the first day. Ordering was a breeze, super quick even though we made the orders complicated for them: - Matcha milk tea with red bean (one size) $5.50 - Large classic milk tea (1/2 sugar) $4.75 + $0.50 tapioca - Large Jasmine milk tea $4.75 + $0.50 tapioca. Right now until April 1st, it is 20% off, so my total came out to be $12.80 Jasmine milk tea was pretty good, classic milk tea needs some work. Seems like they did not use the high quality tea leaves to brew and you can definitely taste the difference. Matcha milk tea with red bean was a missed. Do not order it, even though the name sounds tempting or at least until they have perfected it. Super strong matcha (winner), but what is going on with the blended red beans? Looks gross, taste gross. I'd prefer to have my red beans whole, thank you. The tapioca they used, was very clumpy. I didn't enjoy them. Over all, we spent one hour waiting in line for their drinks, people who came after us; some had already gotten their drinks before us. I am not sure about their organization of drink orders. Overall, friendly service, cute cups (very sturdy), cute place. They brew their own tea (a win!). Pricing is a bit high. I'll give them another try when the crowd dies down. read more

Happened to be in the area with a friend from out of town and we stumbled upon this place. I had a deep craving for some boba and this hit the spot. Sort of. I got the jasmine milk tea which was good, just a little more milky than jasmine-y, if you catch my drift. And the boba texture was good, but a little mushy. We may have gotten a bad batch. My friend got the Taro, which she mentioned was good. Then again, she comes from an area where there's no boba shops... if you catch my drift. Overall it was ok. They have a decent selection and seems like they use real tea and not a ton of powdery, sugary, smoothie type drinks. I would come back and try something else. read more

I got their rice milk tea at 50% sweet and light ice. I never heard of rice milk tea so it was something I wanted to try. It was good, but a bit on the bland side. I find their tapioca also bland and probably would choose a different topping next time. I also felt like they gave me too much ice even though I ordered "light ice". Their brown sugar boba was better, but it was overly sweet even though we got 50% Overall, I think their drinks are alright. I am willing to give it a second try. Their prices are comparable to other boba shops. Their customer service needs to improve. When we entered the boba shop, there was no greeting. The girl just stared at her register in silence. A simple "Welcome!" or "Let me know if you have any questions" would have been appreciated. read more

First off, DO NOT go when they first open at 11AM. Boba is old from the other day. You can 100% tell when its fresh and when it's not. So far I keep coming back to this place because I can't find any place better (yet). Price wise it's fair and you can customize your drinks they way you want it. I also do like how there are a few options to pick from, even if I stick with the same thing. We tell them light ice because we're buying milk tea and boba, not ice.... today we told them light ice and we had a large drink... disappointed since half the dang cup was ice. What would it be if we didnt say anything? 75% ice? Yeah this place is good and all that but I sure as hell ain't coming in the morning and I'm gonna make sure light ice is light ice... even Starbucks can get that correct. read more

Drink: I ordered 2x Oolong Milk Tea with 25% sweet. I would say this is a tad bit better than Tapioca Express. Tea flavor was weak, overly milk, and even though I ordered with 25% sweet; it tasted like 75% sweet. By the way, the lids don't close completely. Unless you like milk tea all over yourself and car, by all means. Experience: The workers are pretty bad. I brain-farted and forgot which one was a green tea vs black tea leaf. They were equally confused and suggested if I meant "matcha," which is a Japanese green tea powder. After being annoyed, I just ordered the Oolong milk tea. Verdict: Regardless of my experience with the workers... I would not consider coming back here. For $4.75/drink, tea flavor wasn't there. The drink was not balanced between the milk and tea, but which annoys me most; would be the fact that it was overly sweet and the horrible designed lids. At least Tapioca Express can lid there cups properly. read more

So I ordered two drink, one 75% sweet (original milk tea) and one full sweet (rice milk tea), I don't know if they got the order right, and its partly my fault as well since I should have checked the order on the screen, but anyway, the one supposed to be less sweet is overly sweet and the one with full sweet is bland, and usually they would have a sticker on the cup to tell which one is which, they did not have it on their cups so I could not tell if that how the drink served or if they make mistake. Secondly, I asked for boba and grass jelly in a drink, only got grass jelly, again, partly me because I should have check before I take off. Thirdly, drinks are overall bland, probably like 1% tea and 99% milk. Not even a slight hint of tea. Won't probably come back, especially with the location and the parking, more reason to not coming back. read more

This place leans more towards 3.5 than 4. Overall, I have my fave drinks from here and like the option to earn points and redeem, however, I don't like that when requesting less ice that they do not top off the drinks.
