Convenient location and neat and clean premises. Not a fan of the Boba we got - it was Peanut Butter Phin coffee and just too chunky and thick . The staff was fast but the Boba overall just didn't work for us . read more

Ordered my usual passion fruit green tea with boba. Boba was cooked well, but the tea tasted a bit off compared to other Ding Tea's I've had. Shoutout to the staff for taking my order with smiles with a few min before they closed. Street parking only. read more

They always get the drink just perfect. Whether I get a jasmine milk tea or a regular milk tea it is always perfect. The boba is soft and flavorful. It wasn't super hard after being refrigerated either when I finished my drink the next morning. This location is very central. Staff is friendly. The shop was empty when we walked in but they came to help up. It is spacious and quiet. There is cool machines to play with too. read more

Very good boba spot near PSU. I love the options of being able to control how sweet you can get your tea. I usually get 30% or 1/4 sweet. Pretty good prices and service was quick. Only street parking available. read more

Visiting Portland and stumbled upon Ding Tea PDX whilst waiting for dinner at a nearby establishment. An international chain spanning from Taiwan to Australia, Ding Tea has won a superior taste award in 2018, as proudly displayed on their drink lids. Unfortunately, their drinks don't really deliver quality taste. We ordered the signature milk tea with boba and winter melon milk tea with grass jelly (both with no ice, 30% sugar) but they were both too sweet and lacked any tea flavor. The boba balls were slightly too hard, as if they were sitting out for a few hours (as boba quickly depreciates after being cooked). The service was quick and they were very friendly. The music playing was kpop which was quite loud. They have high tables and stools, which is ok to sit at for a bit but hurts after a while with no backing or padding. There is only street parking available, but we found some just one block away. read more

Ding Tea is delicious and delightful. Don't get discouraged by the lack of parking. Drinks are decently priced for delectable boba and milk tea. I drank the green milk tea and Brown Sugar Milk tea and give both spots 8/10. Dazzling boba consistency and dangerously addicting tea. Dependable boba spot for your boba needs. read more

Enjoyed their Taro Milk Tea with Golden Boba here recently. Friendly staffs and super fun, young spot to hangout or work. Their Taro Milk Tea was good and refreshing. I went with no sweetness and it's great! Their bobas were also nice and chewy. Medium size was good to satisfy my craving, they go pretty hard with the boba mount. You can also try their taiyakis which are made fresh to order. We loved that they're hot and crispy. The dough was slightly salty which complemented the sweet custard filling and ham & cheese pretty well. You can even get a combo of selected large drinks with taiyaki! read more

A cute boba spot with all the regular fixings you can expect located right by PSU! The staff are super sweet and helpful, and they patiently answered questions and made suggestions about drinks. I ended up getting the Monster Bobo which is a fresh milk with brown sugar drink, so slightly different from the regular brown sugar one but I liked it! It was really creamy and not too sweet and also had honey boba, which I loved. I also got the Red Bean Taiyaki and it was pretty good -- the pastry tastes super similar to a puff pastry and wasn't as sweet as I initially thought it would be, but it was flaky and yummy. I really loved the red bean filling! pastry The drinks are good and I loved that the medium was just enough to satisfy my boba craving -- I'll be back! read more

Delicious boba and very fast service. Winter melon is fire! Mango green tea is fire! Taro is INSANELY GOOD. I don't even like boba, but this place is FIRE. Food trucks are across the street. Grab some food there, then sit down here and grab boba. What a beautiful day. read more

The teas are interesting. I'd call them more authentic and less 'Americanized'. The one guy who was there the first time we went didn't really seem like he cared too much about customers. He didn't greet us as we went in and we had to prompt him to get up and come over to help us out. The second time there were two young ladies working and they were very nice and attentive. The ambiance is industrial. It doesn't have a very cozy feel. Not bad, just different. read more

The space was in the convenient location in psu and the store is really nice inside. Big open space with the covid precautions for spacing and flow of traffic. The workers were very nice and the drinks were good as usual. I got the monster boba latte and the grapefruit yakult. Yakult drinks in my experience have been hit or miss. This time they added enough yakult where you actually got a good amount of that flavor to sweeten the fruit drink. The monster boba latte with sea foam was really good and sweet like expected. We're glad for this location since were out in Beaverton because the Woodstock location is quite far. Best brown sugar boba in town. read more

Visiting from out of town and came in with a group of about seven people. Two of us ordered at the main counter while the rest used the kiosk. At the time, there was only one employee working the front, brunette woman with septum piercing. All of us received our drinks except one. The employee called out a "brown sugar tea," but we had ordered an oolong tea with boba. We were clearly confused, and instead of clarifying, she continued to repeat "brown sugar tea" while staring at us. When my coworker went up to ask about it, the employee said that's what came through the kiosk, even though the drink had been ordered directly with her. The interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. We waited, assuming maybe the oolong was still being made, but there was no communication. When another employee returned, the first employee openly talked about our group while we were standing right there. We went up one more time for clarification and were again told that was the order. Overall, the employee was irritable, dismissive, and openly unprofessional. We were made to feel like an inconvenience for simply ordering and asking for clarification. Despite being polite and patient, there was no effort to communicate, fix the mistake, or provide basic customer service. Talking about customers within earshot and refusing to take accountability is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this experience left a very poor impression and is not a place I would recommend based on service alone. read more

Update: the owner promptly reached out and offered an apology regarding my experience. In addition to offering a full refund, offered a coupon to come back and try another drink. Appreciate the great customer service and will likely be back to give it another shot. I wish I could give this a 0. The jasmine green milk tea was SO watery felt like I paid $6.25 to drink water with the boba balls. The staff was nice enough to make it twice but it was still the same watered down level LOL. Not sure if that's how they were taught to make it but definitely wrong. Wish I could've asked for a refund instead smh read more

Ding Tea PSU - Proceed to throw this away - Bubble Tea Near Me - Portland, Oregon

The Monster Boba Latte is probably their most expensive item, and definitely the most eye-appealing. It's an iced drink, yet the tea is warm inside the cup. It's very sweet and caramel-y good. Prices are higher than at competing venues. The atmosphere is somewhat of a downer, it's sterile-like. And the service is very stoic. I don't anticipate many revisits. read more

Ding Tea PSU - Monster Boba: real good - Bubble Tea Near Me - Portland, Oregon

This is one of the newest boba shops located next to Einstein Bagels near PSU. It has a very clean aesthetic , and you even have the ability to use markers (that they provide) on the tables. As for products, they sell Fresh Tea, Slushes, Fruit Juice, milk teas, coffee, lattes, and Yogurt. The smaller size for the tea drinks start at $3.50 and $4.00 for the larger size, but for most drinks like the milk teas it's $4.25 and $4.75. There are a wide variety of the flavors for the drinks; I counted at least 19 for the milk teas alone. Milk tea flavors include: matcha, Thai, vanilla, Jasmine and etc. you can also make your own custom drink in terms of sugar level and the amount of ice. Toppings include the regular boba (theirs is light brown) and 8 other toppings like crystal or jelly boba. *Order:* Jasmine Milk Tea w/ boba and no ice ($4.75)- It wasn't as sweet as I would've liked it, but it was still good. The boba on the other hand had the right amount of sweetness and it was firm just the way that I liked it. *Wait time:* ~5 minutes. *Seating:* They have 6 tables with four chairs each, two cozy chairs by the door, and a smaller sofa by the window. *Service:* The cashier was pleasant and she explained that there is only a color difference between the golden brown boba and the black kind they serve only in the monster milk teas. *Cost(s):* $$ read more

I need to be right up-front, I don't know what boba is . . . however, our 11 year old daughter loves the stuff. So, I am now making my way around the metro area taking her to different boba tea locations. Ding Tea is her favorite; and the PSU location is spot on - convenient, spacious, COVID-adherent, and super friendly staff. I know this is going to sound even more uninformed than I have already demonstrated myself to be, but most of the boba tea drinks are caffeinated. Make note if you are not a caffeine drinker or have a pre-teen. With this in mind, we steer our daughter toward the drinks made with yogurt. And, although a bit sugar heavy, they are caffeine-free and still afford the opportunity to pop the boba bubbles . . . which our daughter tells me is the true delight of boba tea. read more

Clean and ding. Located at previous froyo place (rip). Consistent drinks. Order in 2 sizes. Service was prompt. Seating rather limited.

I will proudly admit that I came here too often during my visit to Portland. Solid place with a variety of options and consistently quick service. I tend to grab a drink to pair with an entree from one of the food carts. Somewhat pricey for a little self-indulgence but definitely worth a try. Highly recommend the monster boba for those with a sweet tooth! read more

My bf forgot my water bottle here, so we called and they said we could pick it up. Stopped by there and was told it was thrown away. It was a limited edition hydro flask, so I doubt it was. I've gone to Ding Tea three times so far and it's on par with California milk tea shops. I'm aware that Ding Tea is a chain but this location is the first time that I visited a Ding Tea shop. The drinks that I have gotten are the chocolate milk tea, lychee milk tea and the oolong milk tea. I got the chocolate milk tea with pudding. It is good with a good balance of chocolate and tea flavor. I got slight sweet (30%) for the sugar level and I was happy with the level of sweetness. The pudding is great. I got the lychee milk tea with coconut jelly. The lychee milk tea has a perfect amount of lychee flavor and the coconut jelly works well in it. I got the oolong milk tea with lychee jelly and at slight sweet (30%) as well. The oolong tea has a medium level of strength and the lychee jelly works well with it. I recommend getting less ice in all of the drinks, otherwise, it's too much ice in the drink. The oolong milk tea was the drink that I enjoyed the most. The service is good and the workers are friendly. The menu is also extensive! They don't have seating inside at this time so it's take out only spot. Ding Tea is a great choice for a boba tea in Portland. read more

Since moving here from Sacramento, I've been on the hunt for a solid boba place. Ding Tea was one of my fav spots back home so I was very excited to try this spot out! I ordered my go-to: Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea with boba. Service was good, drink was made fast. But I will say - even with no sweetness adjustment, it tasted less creamy (more watered down) in comparison to the many times I had it in Sac, which was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the boba was on point- not too soft, not too hard. I don't think I'd venture out for this again, but I would get it if I were in the area and craving boba. I guess I'll just keep looking! read more

One of my favorite boba shops! I was at Tokyo Sando's grand opening when I saw the Ding Tea sign and was so excited. Though, I was filled with disappointment to find out that they weren't open yet as I walked closer. I did come back several weeks later when they finally opened! It very crowded on a Saturday afternoon and they ran out of boba since they had orders of 10+ drinks right before. I ended up getting a jasmine milk tea and my friend got a taro milk tea. My drink was just as how i remembered it from back home in SoCal. The cashiers were also very friendly and service was quick. read more

We came here yesterday as they address in their soft opening stage. They seem to have drawn a crowd as the lines were pretty long, but were moving at a good pace. I liked that the menu was simple and they also allow you to adjust the sweetness and ice in a majority of their drinks. I got the signature milk tea with the golden boba. The boba was tasty and had the right amount of chewiness to it. My friend got the matcha tea with golden boba and liked it also. Overall, a good experience and I would come back again. read more

The food and drink are fine. Passable. The tea is stuff you can get anywhere. The food options are minimal and a lot of stuff has just been sitting out. The service is abysmal. Trying to order? The bubble tea at this location had me keep coming back for more! The location is conveniently on PSU campus and when this location was open before COVID, the indoor seating was a really comfortable place to sit and chat with your friends. I've tried a lot of the teas here and they all have their own delicious flavor. I always adjust the ice and sugar level so the flavor is perfect for me since I don't like my drinks too sweet. The top fruit tea that I got with coconut jelly (50% sugar) was really good, but was slightly still really sweet. The taro milk tea, monster boba, jasmine green milk tea, and lychee green tea are some of my favorites here. For toppings, I really like the crystal boba, pudding and grass jelly. I will come back again to try their lattes and hot drinks. The cashier that works at this location was really friendly too! She seemed happy to take my order and give me recommendations. When the indoor seating was open before, there were some cashiers who weren't friendly at all and made the shop really uninviting. They looked so unhappy to work there. So glad I haven't seen them working these days. read more

This is the Ding Tea I go to most often, and it's honestly as good as any other Ding Tea out there - PDX and beyond. What I like: - Jasmine Green Milk tea is the ONLY thing I get here. Easily one of the top two jasmine milk teas out there. - Golden boba is really good! - Tons of parking outside (metered of course) What is meh: - Can be hit or miss once in a while. - Drinks with Golden Boba are VERY sweet. Get 30% or 50% sweet. - On the more expensive side. Expect your drink to be around $5. read more
