I usually go to Ding Tea for bubble tea for lunch... and then I saw that they have a new menu that is separate from Ding Tea called Saigonesso! It is Vietnamese coffee but with a twist! You know how it is with Vietnamese coffee, strong and delicious! I wanted to try everything so I got the flight!

Cute shop, quick service and equally nice employees. This place has been on my list of shops to try, and I'm glad I finally did. The drink was amazing- I never thought to try coffee with banana flavoring/ cream. When they toasted the top of the drink it had the perfect burnt sugar/crème brûlée taste. The coffee was bold, but not over powering. It had a wonderful taste. Over all this was worth it, and I will definitely return back.

Iced coffee flight: creamy coffee, Ube, coconut cream.

The morning crew was welcoming and did a fantastic job with coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches alike. I appreciate that they offer honey as a sweetener option add on as it really highlighted the beans they were working with without overpowering with sweet. The rock and mineral collection is impressive and I'm sure I could feel the good vibes amplified thanks to the thoughtful displays throughout the space. I feel like Carnelian captures the Portland feel in such an authentic way and look forward to returning with a book next time to enjoy the space a little longer.

We're not sure what it was, it could have been the morning bun so I asked a barista. The pastries have some allergen information in the placards but when I get an allergic reaction, I want to make sure and ask. They looked through the ingredients list/binder and they couldn't find the ingredients for the morning bun. Luckily, my husband and my allergies are pretty mild, but this seems pretty dangerous. If you have any kind of allergy, I don't think this is the place for you.

They have coloring sheets, a few toys for distraction. The food is really what made me appreciate this place for kids. Their kid dishes come on a plate with adorably-sized dishes to keep everything separate for those picky kids. The meals are much healthier than your average kid menu and most include carrots and cucumber. The adult meals were also super tasty. My 6yo, who can be incredibly picky, asked for more veggies and then ate MY food, which never happens. NEVER. The bathroom has a changing table and a stool. Staff was very friendly and accommodating-I.e. bringing out kids meals first, helping my daughter at the water station. You can also eat here as adults without kids and have a great date night. Food is fresh, tasty, and well-presented. Highly recommend!!!

I was expecting try X coffee with this pastry or sandwich. But the response I got was "everything is good." The way they said it felt like they were unsure and didn't know how to recommend something. Regardless, I tried a medium roast and dark roast drip coffee which were okay but not phenomenal. Their sandwiches looks sus so I didn't try it. Pastries were there but not a large option. The place is cozy, ran by nice and friendly staff. Seating included 3 booths, some chairs facing the window and a few tables. My only gripe is WiFi is god awful slow. Coffee is about average, nothing crazy but not ideal to study or get work done that requires to be online. I personally wouldn't go back for this reason because it doesn't meet my needs for getting work done. However if I need a quick cup of coffee, I wouldn't mind stopping here

Everything started great as the shop was easy to find, parking was easy even though we arrived around noon on a Saturday. It wasn't overly busy and we were able to place an order and find seating right away. We ordered two meal and coffee combos: the banana coffee and pork shop rice, and the coconut whip cream coffee with the Legend pho. We also shared a beignette donut, which had a milky custard filling inside of the pillowy breading. The coffee came first and we loved our drinks. The banana coffee has a rich yummy banana cream, and the coffee underneath wasn't sweet, so there was a good contrast. The banana coffee came with extra bit of black coffee so you can adjust it to your liking. I also liked my coconut whipped cream coffee. The whipped cream has a stuble coconut favor with toasty coconut flakes on top, the Vietnamese style milk coffee was a bit sweet but that's expected. Then the food came, and they looked GOOD. The pork chop rice was presented beaufifully and tasted great. I liked my pho and I loved that it arrived sizzling hot. The broth was deep in color and neutral in taste, again, very nice to eat. The dining area was comfortable, spacious and relaxing and the staff were friendly and attentive. So why did I deduct a star from my review? Well... do you know they have a loyality program? The person behind the counter did not mention it so I only found out about it from a pamphlet on our table after we ordered all of our food and drinks. In the loyality program, you get 1 free drink after you purchase 9, and you get $5 off when you spend $50 or more. Sadly, I wasn't aware of its existence when I paid and the staff member running the register told me that they could not enroll me in the program after I paid, or provide me with any credits for the drinks that I purchased on their digital punch card. I think they should have told me about the loyalty program before I paid at the register, or should have allowed me to at least collect the points afterwards even if I could not get a discount on the total that I spent. Because of this issue, I left Legend feeling annoyed that I missed out on getting a discount that I would have been entitled to if they told me about their loyalty program, but also missed out on collecting two digital "stamps," or "stars," towards getting a free coffee through no fault of my own. Overall, it was a great experience until it wasn't so great. I probably won't be returning to this locaton and hopfully I will have a better experience at the Beaverton location when they open. This time at least I will know about the loyalty program ahead of time if nobody mentions it.
