    Ham and cheese quiche

Charming local cafe with a very nice selection of fresh pastries. Coffees tasted more on the "mild" side for me. I needed something a bit punchier for the drive back to Seattle, but it was delicious nonetheless. Our quiche was the perfect portion size and so tasty! Not sure why we hadn't been to Keeper before but we'll be back! Service was excellent (the manager was so kind and helpful when I called in an error I made and tried to pay them online somehow), and the decor is cozy cute. Street parking wasn't too difficult, but I can see it being a challenge during morning hours.

I ordered their iced latte with homemade syrup and liked it. 8/ 10. I will have to go back to try their pastries which looked really good.

This is one of those neighborhood coffee shops in Portland that I always find myself coming back to. It's warm and inviting the moment you walk in, with that comforting wave of coffee aroma that makes the space feel instantly cozy. It's always busy, but in a way that feels lively rather than overwhelming. They're known for their quiche, but I usually end up ordering something sweet. This time I tried the coffee cake for the first time, and it was surprisingly delicious--light, not overly sweet, and perfect with a latte. I also had the marionberry and cream pastry again, which is one of my favorites. It's bright, slightly tart, creamy, and has that satisfying bit of crunch. The coffee here has low acidity, a smooth profile, and a medium body, which pairs beautifully with their pastries. Starting my morning with something this sweet and comforting just makes me happy.

I love going to Keeper Coffee. They have two locations, but I usually visit the one in Milwaukie, although I really should give the other one a try. What makes this place stand out is the vibe. Everything is so cutely decorated, and the building they share with Pfriem Brewery gives it a unique and cozy feel. They have a large upstairs area, which I can see myself coming here with my laptop. The pastry selection is fantastic. If you have time to sit down for breakfast, I definitely recommend it. That is what I did on my first visit. On my second visit, I grabbed a pastry and a drink to go, wandered around, and stopped into some of the nearby vintage shops, which made for such a lovely afternoon.

I was debating what to do on a Sunday afternoon and decided it was a coffee shop vibe kinda day. I consulted ChatGPT and yelp and landed here. 10/10 recommend! I ordered an americano and df/gf and both were really good. There is parking available on the street. I can see where peak times could be a little harder to snag. Service was great too!

Friendly staff, great variety of pastries, breads, and a couple sandwiches options, We tried zucchini bread, chocolate croissant, bacon and egg sandwich, savory scone. All delectable. Set in a residential area. Not an abundance of seating but we got lucky to get a table for three right away. Drafty by door but it's February. Was bustling but not crowded. Ample staff with fun vibe. Can tell this is a local hot spot.

This has been a growing favorite of mine that I find myself visiting a few times each trip to Portland. It's cute with a classic 'old' vibe yet some modern twists ... vintage like if you will. Has both indoor and outdoor seating, WiFi and bathrooms for customers. They offer a wide selection of baked goods, including GF and Vegan friendly ones.. in fact the vegan flatbread is one of my favorite items! Typically, I'm making oat milk, cappuccino girl, but occasionally I'll get a latte and both of those made here are incredibly delicious. Staff is always so kind and supportive, heads up that the lines can be long here, but it's entirely worth it. I know I'll be back for more when I'm visiting again!

This quaint coffee shop on the East side of Portland has a vintage feel and serves a good cup of coffee. I got a small iced mocha which had a great balance between being sweet and bold. All of the baristas were very kind and greeted me upon walking to the front to order. The inside has some seating and there are more tables outside for the nicer fall days like when I went. They also have a small corner filled with merchandise they sell in shop. Overall, I would recommend this shop if you are looking for something new and something local, it can be a great spot to sit down and get some work done.

Didn't get a chance to get any coffee because, unlike what is listed on their Yelp profile and several Yelp reviews, dogs are NOT allowed to stay in the coffee shop. They're allowed if you are walking in for a to-go order but I don't think that should mean they are "allowed."

This is my first time at the Woodstock location but I have been to Keeper coffee before on Milwaukee and I loved it. Today I got the coffee cake which is ok, a bit dry and hard. I think their raspberry scone is the best bakery item. I spent 10.25$ for a coffee and pastry. Expensive but worth it. The coffee is great too. I like that this location has a parking lot. It's in an old house and feels very cozy. Great place to study and hang out. Employees are very nice.

I've been here quite a few times and have really enjoyed the Aribic People's latte with its strong cardamon overtones, the Chocolate Jesus and today, the Mucho Calliente, which promises a chili infusion, and cinnamon infused espresso with dark chocolate! But wait..., oh no, I forgot to ask for oat... this is probably (certainly) dairy. Argh! Sorry, I have no Viking blood and can not digest cow milk. I would rather battle the aforementioned Viking before I'd endure the results of ... dairy! So, I brought my drink up fully prepared to pay for another and everyone there, EVERYONE, in almost unison, refused to take my payment. They kindly and quickly made another and... oh... spicy indeed, but chocolatey and balanced! One of the best spicy mochas I've had anywhere ... and I am an absolute Spella snob and proud of it! Inside secret: Don't miss out on the great selection of truly authentic Egyptian foods and pastries, as well as some really nice necklaces and earrings. His hospitality set the tone for the whole evening--warm, relaxed, and full of conversation between people from all over the world. One of the highlights was watching Joe prepare traditional Egyptian coffee over hot sand, a centuries-old method that slowly heats the coffee and brings out deep, rich flavors. But the real comfort of the night came in the form of Egyptian Sahlab. Imagine a thick, creamy winter drink made from warm milk, gently sweetened and flavored with vanilla and orange blossom water. Those of you who tried it know what I am talking about! It was very nice to get a beautiful taste of Egyptian culture right here on Hawthorne. Huge thanks to Joe for the incredible hospitality and for sharing these traditions with us. I hope they expand to include a full Egyptian, Mediterranean food menu.

I got the seasonal peppermint mocha drink- all the flavors were very light and not too sweet which I appreciated. I only wished that there was stronger coffee taste (my preference), as it tasted like a warm milk drink with a hint of peppermint and dash of bitterness from the coffee. I do wonder how their drinks will taste iced so I do plan on coming back! I arrived with my party of 2 just before a small line formed, and ordered my seasonal drink and a drip coffee. there were 2 baristas at the time, but after we ordered one of them left(?) and only one barista remained to take orders and make drinks. it was busy and as a barista myself I understand so I didn't mind the longer wait and understood that they forgot the drip coffee we ordered due to the small rush. Upon reminding them after the customers behind us were served, the barista was super apologetic and made the drip coffee immediately. However, the coffee was lukewarm and didn't have a strong coffee taste either (according to my friend). Overall a cute little cafe on Hawthorne, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for their coffee. I would be willing to give this place another shot if I was in the area, as their other seasonal drinks look yummy!

The two-tops are fairly snug together so it can feel like you're eavesdropping or being listened to. There's counter seating along one side which had some refreshing morning sun- when a couple seats opened up there, we moved and were very comfy. There are a couple of cozy chairs in the front window and some additional counter and lounge seating in an adjoining room. The drink quality and presentation were high quality and delicious. The cost of a 12oz latte ($7) with no special milk was higher than other cafes I've been to recently around Portland including places that create their own syrups for specialty drinks of the month. That said, I don't begrudge the cost of a masterfully hand-crafted, drinkable cup of art and that is exactly what I received. I think the cost stuck in my head because the welcome did not feel particularly warm at the register. They were having an animated conversation with the barista and I couldn't help but feel like we were inconveniencing them by saying good morning and trying to order. When we picked up our orders, the barista was warm and friendly. Overall, it's a delightful spot in an equally lovely neighborhood.
