Total rip-off and unprofessional experience with Jumbo Automotive Service. I called to ask about an oil change for my Mercedes Sprinter van and spoke with Haim Levy, who quoted me $190. Based on that quote, I drove approximately 30 minutes to the shop. After I waited almost another hour, he finally approached me and said the oil was expensive and the service would actually cost $320--$130 more than the quoted price. The cost of the correct oil should have been considered before giving me a quote and having me drive there. If more information was needed to provide an accurate price, he should have asked during our phone call. I refused and left. At that price, I would rather take my van to an official Mercedes dealership. Altogether, I wasted about two hours of my Saturday. Customers deserve accurate pricing and respect for their time. Quoting one price to bring someone in, then substantially increasing it after a lengthy wait, is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Jumbo Automotive Service. read more

My insurance paid them to fix my car and they never fixed what they got paid to do. First time after two weeks of "fixing" my car they returned it with all broken parts. Asked for more money! My insurance pointed them that they already got paid for it. Took them another 2 weeks to fix what they didn't fixed on the first place. 2 weeks that we have to pay for another rental! They refused to pay for rental and it was their fault they didn't fix what they got paid for. Now , two month later , I still have not fully functional car and they refuse to return money. Got guts to ask for more! Avoid this company! read more

I called for a quick diagnosis for a notice that came up on the board. They told me to come in, ran the computer and suggested me what the problem might be. They were very quick, no wait time, very friendly and professional. The shop is very big, clean and multiple people were working. My experience was very positive, highly recommended it. read more

Located along Dixie Highway, Jumbo Automotive is an AAA approved auto repair facility with ASE certified technicians who works on all makes and models of vehicles and offers repair and maintenance services such as: * A/C service * Oil change * Batteries * Brakes * Tires (Name Brand & Economy Brand) * Alignment, balance & tire rotation * Fluid exchange service (brake, coolant, power steering, engine, radiator, and transmission) * Fuel system cleaning I stopped by here to get a quote on replacing all four tires on my vehicle. I had already got quotes from Firestone and Pepboys - both averaging about over $600, and going by a dealership would probably be more than that so I was hoping that Jumbo Automotive wouldn't drain my pockets. I spoke to a friendly gentleman, Patrick, who was nice enough to find me three different brand tires for my vehicle, prices range from $400-$590. That includes price of tires, installation, balance, and alignment. No appointment was necessary. Once I make a small down payment; the tires will be ordered and when they arrive in a few days, I can bring in the vehicle to get the service done and pay the balance. Sounds reasonable. I will return on Monday with my decision. read more

I had a battery installed somewhere else and immediately afterwards no AC and then other issues which made me think something was disconnected during install. Turns out the battery terminal needed tightening more. They figured it out fast and got me back on the road ASAP. If I were local this is where I would go! read more

I was referred to this place through Jacob's Garage, which in the past has done excellent mechanical work for my car; however, being an electromechanical problem, they recommended that I take the vehicle to Jumbo Automotive. I realized some connection because the owner, Hiam, appears to be from the same country as in Jacob's Garage. Jumbo's Automotive is a clean garage and certainly looks to have been in business for a long time. Unfortunately, I was treated by Miguel, who originally quoted me for approximately 5 hours of work, and later, the invoice came at $1,400 in labor. My only complaint is that they should have been more transparent with the # of hours and the approximate price; this was a shocker of a bill and unexpected. Also, it was clear that the # of hours was very generous and padded. I would not recommend it; hopefully, I will not have to take my car in the future. read more

My 15 year old son's "new" 2002 Toyota Tacoma needed new front struts. We were quoted $275 for the labor & alignment, which was $125 less than the big Truck Performance shop we went to prior so we decided to give Jumbo our business (my son has been saving for months). When the bill came that $275 jumped to nearly $400 with no explanation of why. Only after expressing our frustration were we given a $35 discount (still $80 more than expected. Way to take advantage of a kid who just got his first car. Also this "same day" repair took 3 days because the technician, Henry, had to leave for a personal emergency (understandable) & apparently nobody else could finish the job (?). My son was really upset at this first experience. read more

Jumbo Automotive - 3 days to install front struts... was supposed to be same day. Quoted $275 labor and then bill was almost $400 with no explanation. - Auto Repair Near Me - Hollywood, Florida

Just left here from getting a new alternator put in...which I was told alternators should cost really no more than $200. Well this place charged me $400 for an alternator along with another $400+ for labor. I don't know much about cars but found that to be ridiculous. Oh! I forgot to mention, this is the pricing AFTER a 10% discount The only good customer service i received from start to finish was from the lady in the office behind the desk..I believe her name is "Dolores". (I hope I got that right because she definitely deserves the credit) read more

Jumbo Automotive is absolutely the best in Hollywood. The service is great because both the owner and the workers are very hard workers, their goal is to have satisfied customers and they have done that every time. Can't say enough about that place, great job guys. read more

I brought my car in for my battery to be checked, an oil change, & wheel alignment. I knew I needed new brake pads and as they looked at my car they called to confirm the need for brakes. I agreed to the verbal quote. When I pick up my car I was handed a bill for $200 dollars above the quote. I was given all sorts of stories and would not leave until they presented me with the bill they quoted me. I literally had to negotiate back to the original quote and then when asked where the 10% AAA discount was on the invoice I was told I did better with the "discount" I just negotiated. I insisted on understanding what he meant by that and after another story and simple math Diego went back to his computer to give me my 4th revised invoice. I will never use this shop again. They are far from honest and I was taken advantage of. read more

After much postponing, I finally decided to get my car repaired but was unsure on where to take it. (I dread having to go to any car repair shops). After getting a flyer in the mail (sometimes fate works like that) I decided to take my chances at this place and I'm so glad I did. They were able to identify what was wrong and fixed it within a day. Since it was a bit of a hefty repair, they worked with me and even threw in a few freebies, which I greatly appreciated. Very impressed with their customer service (shoutout to Miguel). Will definitely keep coming back! read more

My car broke down at a Jiffy Lube and had to be towed to "a shop that could fix it." I called a tow truck and Haim, the owner, stayed late on a Saturday night to get me checked in. From there they fixed the problem with the fuel system and also recommended a few other repairs. My truck is running better than new! The cost for parts exceeded the cost for labor which is a first in the history of auto repair. I would recommend this place to my own mother and I trust them like family. If you're looking for a quality mechanic at a fair price, look no further. Jumbo is the king! read more

Run as fast as you can don't walk this place has been the worst place I have ever taken my car too. I took my car to get checked and they told me just a regular flush for the car is almost $2,000 sounds crazy. And the owner is so rude and very disrespectful he will no longer get any service for me or anybody in this town as long as I'm around. I've been a customer for years. Two cars and always great service. Very responsive, reliable and customer friendly.

I had some serious issues with my 740iL BMW. They were able to diagnose and repair them and in more than two years there was never another issue with the car. It wasn't inexpensive, but still probably 1/3 less than a dealer would have charged. When to get my van repaired, was told by another mechanic that it needed a new starter wire but when I took it in to jump they told me the wire was fine and needed a new starter and battery, which I replaced less than a year ago. But went ahead and paid $700 and had them both replaced. Not even a day later the van died while driving it down the road. And is puttering when I'm at a stop light and had the check engine light flashing at me. So I brought it back and they are saying it might be the fuel pump, which was also replace 6 months ago.
