TuneRites WORST CUSTOMER EVER AWARD goes to Granny!!! Here's why -in June 2024 Grannies starter broke. She was given a "courtesy inspection" of her car with pictures. How kind!!! It was reported by an unnamed technician: the coolant was leaking so badly the car will probably overheat. The valve cover was leaking onto the starter, the rear brakes were at 4mm, the tires tread is low and the tires need a rotation. That will be appx $$$2700. WOW THANK YOU !!!! Granny had NO IDEA she was driving such a death trap!!! HEROS They are saving her LIFE!!! HOLD UP!! Granny looks in her driveway ....No spots of oil or coolant on the pavers. Her memory is slipping but she looks up the receipts and before memorial weekend she got brakes and new front tires with an alignment and rotation....in April 2024 ---its only June 2024. Granny took a 800 mile trip Memorial Weekend no fluids used, addeddripping or leaving spots. Granny responds to their "courtesy inspection" pictures with a picture of her empty driveway were teh car would have left spots-clean no spots. Just replace the starter please. They reply -Your car is ready for pick up A Day and 1/2 later Granny goes to pick up the car. Its on the lift? During her wait to pay ,she encounters another Granny, who is waiting for the mechanic to tell her what he discovered is wrong with her car. HEROS I tell you !! Granny pays 400$. Asks about the other issues. This mechanic says it was another guy who is not working today, he can't say- Granny "Fair enough". Granny inspects under the hood (she knows her way around a car) fluids of; oil, coolant, brakes, tranny -all fine just like they were when she checked them memorial weekend before her trip. TuneRite sends Granny an electronic "review - feed back' . She tells them someone grossly misled the facts of the "courtesy Inspection". Tune Rite did not take ownership/accountability of the gross miss evaluation of the car. They tried to gaslight Granny with " we think you should be lucky to know what things could go wrong with your car in the future". In fact they text Granny, she is not welcome to return. She was not belligerent, unkind, bad toned, but she was one of their worst customers EVER !!!! She was a knowledgeable consumer, who takes good a care of her trusty steel steed she calls "Buford ". March 30, 2020, March 11, 2021, and July 13, 2022 - I came for a Valvoline full synthetic oil change, tire rotation, and air filter replacement! They got the job done in an hour! March 15, 2023 - Their full synthetic oil used to be $40, but the price increased to $85. Outside of the usual tire rotation and oil and filter change, I purchased an engine air filter, front and rear brake pads/shoes & rotors/drums, and a patch for my left front tire. Though, an unexpected overheating predicament occurred after they put in the left front brake pad/shoe & rotor/drum, so they had to obtain new parts from another company, which delayed my departure by two hours. Thankfully, I wasn't charged for the new parts, and the workers were genuinely mad that they received a defective product, so they reassured me that they will not return my car until it was ready to hit the road again with zero issues. While I feel that I didn't need the brake pads/shoes & rotors/drums because my car is still practically new (2019 with a little over 19,000 miles), I purchased them anyway since I saw and felt the physical wear and tear myself. It was very expensive - $814.74 for all four wheels. I'm 1000% certain that they overcharged me. Same for when they charged me $42.75 to patch my tire. I was waiting inside for seven and a half hours (8:00 am to 3:30 pm). I will still give Tune Rite Auto four stars because the mechanics work diligently! One thing I really love about this place is that they will inspect your vehicle thoroughly and give you advice based on its longevity and current condition! Even though it's reassuring that they send you an inspection summary with pictures, definitely do some research on your car and the parts and prices before agreeing to any of their services! They won't pressure you if you decline, and don't be afraid to speak your mind! Walked in on a very busy Saturday morning, greeted and asked what my concern is. No clue? But I know the sounds of my car and something is very different. Grabbed my key and said they would have someone drive it around. While I wait in the lounge area, I chat up with one of the family owners. Surprised to learn that this business has been open over 20/30 years. But seeing certificates on the wall and the stream of patrons, this place has gotten lots of return business. While the dealership quoted me with up to $1500 of POSSIBLE car issues, this shop diagnosed the issue as wheel bearing - they were extremely BAD. I've had break service done, replaced a tire and no one up to this point has recognized this issue. No one up to this point had even thought about jumping into the car to take it for a ride! For over a year I complained of noise to every place I went. Specially hearing noise anything over 30mph. Not sure if others just thought I was a girl that had no clue or were too lazy to check. But I was ecstatic to finally have an answer to the noise. I was given an estimate of $200 plus tax and about an hour wait. (I did a happy dance!) Thankfully I always keep a book with me. I'm less than a chapter in when the guy updates me as soon as a mechanic was ready to touch my car. Less than an hour later they are finishing up paperwork and I have a safe vehicle back on the road. Truly great, friendly, informative service. I've finally found a mechanic I can trust. No hidden cost. I went to Tune Rite for an oil change and tire rotation. I was very impressed with everything and I plan to be a customer for life. I own an uncommon car. There are only a few thousand of them in the United States. Oil changes on this car are a little complicated and if a tech doesn't know what he is doing, it can screw up the car. So I was surprised when mechanic John not only knew what he was doing, but knew the insides and out of my car. Very impressive. John was quick but thorough. And very friendly. I came in for an oil change. When the job was finished and I got into my car to leave, the engine wouldn't turn over. I was getting a "reduced engine power" warning. I told them what was happening and soon a couple of techs were checking the car out. After about an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half, they found the problem. The person who had changed my oil had accidentally screwed the oil filter over the top of an electrical wire which caused the insulation to break and the wire to ground (or maybe unground. I neither remember nor know much about auto electrical ) By this time it was well after closing time. I appreciated that there were a couple of guys who stayed after to help fix the problem, which they did. Sort of. They pulled the wire out from under the oil filter. It had been damaged. The insulation had gotten stripped off. They put some electrical tape on it and my car was drivable again. The two star review is for two reasons. 1.) I honestly felt that the inconvenience of me having to wait such a long time for them to fix a problem that they caused should have been worth a little more than a "sorry about that, see you later." I don't know that I would have even accepted any sort of concession, but it would have been nice to have been offered one. 2.) Because of their mistake, an important electrical wire in my engine got damaged and is now wrapped in electrical tape rather than the insulation that it came embedded in. My experience with electrical tape is that it tends to lose its stickiness and eventually fall off. Whenever you pay to have your car serviced and that car leaves the shop in any type of worse condition than it was in when you brought it, it is a #fail on the part of the auto shop. I understand that sometimes mistakes happen, but in my case they didn't adequately fix what they broke. Electrical tape is a band-aid, not a solution. read more

Anthony and his crew were so helpful with diagnosing why my car shut down and would not turn back on. They were quick to find the problem to be a contaminated gas issue after the recent Fort Lauderdale and Davie flooding. They were able to clean out my tank and engine from the gasoline that was contaminated with a significant amount of water, for all the moisture out, and pinpointed which injector was misfiring that was easily fixed with an injector flush. With all the vehicles that have been damaged, I am truly impressed with the speed and attention they have my vehicle and got me up and running the same day the diagnosis was made. I have been a regular customer for years here. I recently have had issues with my front brakes. Instead of trying to sell me on the cabin air filter or engine air filter like most other places do, they showed me both and said just to wait. Looking out for my best interest. Customer service was great, lady there was considerate asking and making me coffee while I waited. Everyone here seemed really knowledgeable about cars as well, even the front desk lady, as I overheard most of them talking to the customers about their car.
