I was experiencing overheating issues with my 1500 Ram Truck. First shop I went to first told me I had head gasket failure and have to replace my engine. I wanted a second opinion and discovered "The V Shop". They diagnosed my truck same day I dropped it off and confirmed that I didn't have head gasket failure and was leaking coolant from my radiator causing to overheat. They performed a full inspection of my truck. Provided quality pictures of everything that needed to be addressed. They washed my truck inside/out. I would rate this shop 10 stars if i could. 10/10 service read more

Great experience with the V-shop. Great communication throughout. Quick and thorough, even had my car ready about 45 minutes earlier than they expected. The car wash and vacuuming were an added bonus which I didn't expect, but very much appreciated. Thank you V-shop! read more

This place is nice and thorough. They pointed out a couple of issues that needed repair which I double confirmed with bmw. Oil changes are a great price here vs bmw. Repair work is fairly priced too. read more

No stars. First impressions are everything. I spoke with Roger over the phone regarding my vehicle. I brought the car to him , explained what issues I'm having. He took a look at the dashboard at the warning lights. Seem like He was trying to exaggerate the presence of my check engine light stating I could have a "real issue". I get my car regularly maintain & the car is only 5 years old. There would not be any "major" issue with my car. STRIKE ONE! I'm not a mechanic but as a women over the years I learned how to interact with mechanics. Take what they say with a grain of salt, they probe on weakness. From my experience mechanics have a certain mindset as if women are not equipped with knowledge. Hello we have google and YouTube now lol! You can pretty much google anything just to be informed. However I don't recommend google to diagnose you car but at least educate yourself of the probabilities. This is not my first rodeo with mechanics. I listened to everything Roger said then I explained to him my check engine light only came on because of the parking brake warning lights. Once my parking brake light came on all the other lights appeared as well. STRIKE 2! He should have asked me instead of assuming I didn't have awareness. Immediately he realized he was dealing with someone he could not just beat in the head and get over. I ask questions and I get second opinions. But it gets even better, Roger then informed me after I set the record straight about the check engine light that he would have to put the car on the computer to see exactly what's going on. This is common practice, however what is not common is when I asked if the cost for the diagnostic would be absorbed to the cost of repair. Roger said no, the diagnostic and the repairs are separate. This was unheard of to me! even the dealer who charges like they are ripping a new booty hole for repairs don't charge the diagnostic fee when repairing the vehicle. What kind of computer he got that he has to charge for the diagnosis?? (Sarcasm) I didn't have a good impression of him from that point on. I didn't trust that his prices would be fair. I learned from the past it's not about emotions it's about facts and numbers. In this case the cost for diagnostic $115 on top of repairs does not add up. Therefore I respectfully excused myself to think clear then returned and informed Roger that I was not comfortable with that and I was not moving forward with him repairing my car. It almost looked like he wanted to say something but he hesitated then said ok and ripped the work order sheet he was filling out. He seemed like he didn't care whether I did business with him or not, or maybe he didn't expect that I would ask the question regarding the diagnostic fee in advance and probably thought he was just going to stick it to me on my bill or maybe he didn't think as a woman I would be as informed. Idk either way. I would not do business with this shop or any shop I don't feel comfortable with for that matter. My belief is If I can't trust u in the beginning it's my poor judgement if u do me wrong in the end. Follow your gut ladies, don't take a chance if u don't feel comfortable. Mechanics prey on our vulnerabilities. Don't be too friendly with them. Keep it straight and professional. Listen to them before start offering information. Ask questions. Get second opinions. Research the price of parts and labor. Do your homework. Educate yourself before walking blindly in the repair shop. If you don't they will have the upper hand. Once u give them your keys you , you enter an agreement and if u are not charged fairly sadly u are screwed. Just speaking from experience. It's a game they play until they know you are informed and they can't play anymore. read more

I took my car to The V Shop about a month ago and I was extremely pleased with the service. I had just spent a lot of money at the dealership, who helped me to no avail. When choosing The V Shop, I ready the great reviews and once I called and spoke to Antonio, I knew I made the right decision. Roger and Antonio were 5 star. They were flexible and very understanding. I think I just may have found my new mechanic. Bye bye dealership. read more

My brother went to the auto repair shop that we had been going to for 20 years. The shop was sold and is now a PepBoys franchise. They charged him $100 to look at his A/C and said he needed a compressor, as well as other things...$1300...and they couldn't guarantee he wouldn't need an evaporator which would be more costly. My brother has some mental health issues and it all seemed so sketchy. When I came in they gave me the keys and said to take it to someone who could evaluate the whole system. I have seen comments on The V Shop for years but was totally satisfied with my existing garage before the sale. Well I took it to the V Shop...no compressor needed just some Freon and a connection valve for the Freon. $300. Dealing with an honest capable garage is so comforting. As a lifelong Broward resident I will be referring this garage to everyone. Thanks Roger and Tom! read more

Great repair shop! They were quick to respond with a quote and had a fair price for the work. After taking the car to the shop Roger and Tom quickly reviewed the work required and got me out and followed up with a very professional report on the status of the car and work to be done. They did the repair on time and they washed and cleaned up my car after the work was done. Would definitely recommend them as a small professional repair shop with an owner and team that have a great attitude! I've been waiting on Land Rover Fort Lauderdale to return multiple calls and emails for around 3 months to get this work done, but kinda glad they didn't as I discovered the V Shop! Thanks to Yelp for the help in finding them! read more

The V Shop - Auto Repair Near Me - Davie, Florida

they charged me for a diagnostic to on A/C to say that there were no issues other than Freon... the did this because they were too lazy to deal with warranty to fix A/C lines. then proceeded to tell me it would cost $700 FOR FREON... they just wanted a simple repair to up-charge on. I'm doing so I brought my car directly to BMW. after tellling then I just want Freon that's what they did for less than half at price... AT BMW. after a week the FREON was gone and now I'm going to advanced auto parts to buy Freon with dye to trace the broken line myself and the gift card I had for advanced auto parts is missing from the center console that had nothing other than the card in it. long story short an employee of this shop had stolen a card to fix a repair they were incapable of genuinely doing in the first place. read more

Had a bad main seal leak that needed repair (oil all over the driveway). Was referred by a coworker who's had a bunch of reliable repairs done to various vehicles from the V-Shop members. Called them, they were great, right to the point, and told to bring it over when ready. Topped up with engine oil and drove it over. The main service members were overly nice and transparent with what they would look at and when I should expect and update. Everything was on time including their calls /updates. The repair was done efficiently and my vehicle was ready in a day or so. As always, hard to find a good mechanic. Will be using them again (very soon for some break work ). This was the best experience I have ever had with a body shop or repair shop. No need for the big show room for me. All I wanted was great service. A fair price.. and no, I am not related to them. LOL. I had no clue on how to get my rental, but they know most of the places that work with getting me a ride. Its raining this summer. By the time my rental was done, my car was done. I appreciated how well they cleaned and detailed the car when done. Stored for safety. Thanks read more

The V Shop is truly the best. We've recommended their shop to many friends. They are honest, kind, friendly and a pleasure to work with. They take care of my mom's vehicle and treat her like family. Since I'm hours away, it is a tremendous gift to know she has a team of honest and quality mechanics to ensure her vehicle is safe and well maintained. I enjoy stopping in to see them when I am in town to thank them for their excellent work. I can't recommend them more highly! read more

I read the reviews before I went to get my vehicle serviced and prayed they were true. They were true! The service is unbelievable! I was treated so nicely from the moment I made the appointment. Roger himself was so genuine and friendly. I went in to have an oil change and asked him to look at my brakes and tires because the previous shop I went to said I had to get them replaced. He took a look at everything for me and turned out my tires are fine and my brakes are still good. I know for sure that when I do need to replace them, I know where to go! I feel so lucky to have found The V Shop. Thank you for great service and your honesty. read more

Excellent service from Roger and his team. Friendly and took time to explain and show me what they were doing to the vehicle. Glad to have a go to mechanic for my Volvo. I took my car in because my coolant was leaking and Roger knew immediately what was happening. He connected me with Enterprise and even followed up when they took longer than expected to arrive. Throughout the process he kept me informed with what was happening and even vacuumed out the leaked coolant before handing me the keys. Highly recommend this shop and plan to return to take care of a few other items discovered. read more

After purchasing my Land Rover at the end of my lease due to the current environment of high prices of new vehicles. I checked with the dealership on their prices for brakes. Then I checked for a mechanic online that serviced Land Rovers and found The V Shop in Plantation. After stopping by and talking to Roger, I brought my Rover in. Roger and Antonio were excellence in communicating what needed to be replaced and sent digital pictures of the issues. Once they were given the OK to complete the work, my vehicle was returned to me detailed and sanitized with new rotors, brake pads and a few different filters. Total positive experience and my new mechanic for any non leased vehicles owned by our family will be using The V Shop in Plantation. Plus is costed me 50% less than the dealership. read more

I'm so happy I came across the V Shop on Yelp! Every single review was amazing and I can totally see why. I only got an oil change but I can tell that my car runs so much smoother. Roger did a complete check up on my car and gave me some recommendations and the estimates were reasonable. My car came out looking so clean and they even disinfected my car. I finally found a mechanic who I can trust. read more

I went in because the hatch back door of my Buick wouldn't open. The liftgate latch needed to be replaced. I was very happy with the professional and speedy service I received at The V Shop. Tom, the manager was very courteous and attentive. He took my car in and had it fixed and ready in just a couple of hours later that same day. The car was given back to me cleaned and disinfected as well. The cost of repairs was also cheaper than it would have been at the dealer. I would definitely come back here if I need anything else repaired, and I highly recommend The V Shop in Plantation, FL. read more

My experience with the V Shop has been phenomenal every time I've visited. They've serviced my 2008 Honda Pilot, which was in need of some major work done on my suspension. They changed the shocks and struts. Now the vehicle ride like new. I was so satisfied with the work I brought my other car to get serviced and once again they didn't disappoint. Tom and Roger are so knowledgeable about all types of cars. They are very friendly and will not charge you for unnecessary services or items. Tom is always patient and takes time to explain what's needed before anything is done to the vehicle. A1 service!!!! These guys are so awesome, I told my Dad about them; now he brings his car to the V Shop. Roger and Tom, please don't stop what you guys are doing! read more

After much research I chose V shop. Their reviews were excellent, the owner Gordon was very cordial and professional, answers the phone himself, is willing to discuss your needs, give you a quote without a lot of sales hype and their price is excellent. It may take a little work to find him if you are not a local because the shop is not in the "high rent" district, but that's probably why his prices are much better than the others. It is sort of a small town type shop. Being a snowbird from the mid west it was my kind of place. I will return when I need further. read more

Excellent service with integrity, Roger and The V Shop is a reliable trustworthy Automotive Service you will not have to ever second guess.

Best shop I've ever been to hands down! Tom was amazing, super helpful, & made me feel extremely comfortable and really did a great job at explaining everything I needed to know. Very thorough and has great advice. I'm so thankful to have come across this shop cause it's too common where shops try to get over on you and overcharge you and what not, but not these guys I see why they have great reviews! read more

We drove down to Florida from the Northeast in our late model Volvo XC70. When we arrived I noticed a strange sound from the engine that sounded like a bearing out of grease. So I scoped out a non-dealer Volvo pro on Yelp and found The V Shop. I was nearby, so I stopped by without a call hoping they could help. Roger, the owner, was friendly and immediately started checking out my car. He suggested a plan to do a more thorough diagnosis and was able to get me into their schedule right away. I was impressed immediately with Roger and his shop. The place is spotless throughout, which actually says a lot about a shop. Roger is a Volvo fanatic, with an article on the wall about Irv Gordon (the three million mile Volvo owner). He's been a Volvo specialist for over 20 years. His thinking is about how to get 400k miles out of a car, and he has a preventive and intelligent approach to doing that which I have found dealerships lack. He also takes cars other than Volvo, which he told me he did because his customers demanded he work on their other cars. While there, I met one of these customers, who raved about Roger. He diagnosed the problem, which was a few worn parts including the water pump. He saved everything to show it to me while it was open and patiently and thoroughly showed me exactly what was wrong, even spinning the bearings so I could hear them, showed me what parts needed replacing, and any extra work I could optionally do that makes sense while it's open, and for the trip back. He was clear on pricing for everything and very reasonable on both the labor and the parts. I am sure the dealer would have been more expensive and less careful and attentive than Roger in their diagnosis. I am very knowledgable mechanically, but Roger was straightforward and clear enough that anyone could comprehend what he was recommending. When I came to pick up the car, everything was put together beautifully. They even wiped down the area under the hood to clean it up. They washed the entire car in and out, far more thoroughly than the dealership does. The motor purrs like a kitten now. The price was exactly as discussed. I only wish Roger was in the northeast. Aside from being a super nice and honest guy, his shop is the best one I've used in many many years. I would not think twice about bringing a Volvo or any other brand car to him. read more

My husband and daughter both used V Shop in the past month. I cannot praise them enough for their honesty, helpfulness and fair prices!

We were looking for a good auto repair shop and checked Yelp. We saw that The V Shop had great reviews and mentioned positive things about Roger. We took a chance and Roger did not disappoint! First of all, Roger answered the phone every time we called. Each time we called, he always gave us time to ask as many questions as we had. Once we finally got the car towed to his shop, he was in constant communication with us. After he examine the car, he let us know what it needed, which was much less than we had originally told him it needed. We were so happy to hear this and knew right then we were dealing with an honest guy. He made the process so easy for us! And he was the nicest, most genuine guy! When we finally went to pick up the car, it was not only clean, but completely disinfected! We drove off and the car never drove so good! Thank you Roger! Great job! Will definitely recommend! -Michele R. read more

I will definitely be returning in the future for services and any other car issues. One thing to note is that Roger and his team have the work shop absolutely stunning and organized. I found this shop thanks to Yelp. I have had my car serviced 4-5 times, and have been happy every time with the results. Each time, Roger has diagnosed and fixed any issues properly and honestly. He has also always been very friendly and I am thankful that I live near this shop. For example, I thought that I had a leak in my radiator hose, yet the shop found that the problem was my radiator cooling fan that caused pressure to build and leak coolant. The radiator was installed by the shop less than a year ago and was under warranty. Another shop may have tried to blame the leak on something else that was not under warranty. He took care of contacting my extended warranty service department and we set up a time to fix my car (sunroof shade). He did an amazing job!
